Thanks for sharing Mackenzie's and your story. There are people who would not adopt a dog knowing there would be a huge possibility of a health problem, so cheers to you for your love and commitment. You blessed her life and it sounds like she has blessed yours in return. In my life I was the proud cat mom to a one eyed black cat, (lost in a cat fight according to the shelter)and a male Tabby cat who was diagnosed with multiple heart issues a week after I adopted him. He only lived for a year after I got him at the age of 7 ( he was 6 when I got him from the shelter). Both brought much joy to my life and they lived their lives to the fullest. Never did I regret adopting either one of them.
Respect for getting a puppy that was sick. Most people would think that was too much work. I got an angel nobody wanted cause she was missing some of her muzzle. She is everything to me
it is so unfortunate for mackenzie to have lost her eyes it really breaks my heart. fortunately God offered some compensation by giving her such a compassionate and wonderful owner. god bless you both.
I'm so sorry you and Mackenzie had to go through such tragic events. But I'm also very grateful that she found her Human and that you chose to take care of her despite everything ❤
She is such a pretty little girl. Bless you for taking care of her and loving her. I have a 3 yo male that my wife and I adopted from the animal shelter last year. He is quite a handful.
It just breaks my heart that Mackenzie had that. I too would be devastated if anything similar happened to my Noah. Bless you for taking her in and caring for her as you've done so. I wish Mackenzie a long and healthy life coz all they want is you by their side and no amount of play and toys and treats can replace that. I wish more parents were like you who would take their dogs in regardless of how many issues they have or how they look. P.S. Huskies are the cutest especially when they're stretching after a nap with their tails wagging. I find myself unable to stop to cuddle with my boy Noah when he does that and he does get irritated a lot by this and grumbles a bit when I do this. But if I let go he'll just grumble back that why aren't you cuddling with me. And that is the essence of having a husky
Hi Mackenzie and Hoomum new subscriber she is beautiful awwee my heart goes out to her and God bless you for all you do to make sure your fur baby lives the best life 😊🙏🏾❤❤
Thank you for explaining about why Mackenzie lost her eyes.Did you read a lot of books or watch a lot of videos about living with a blind dog and training her or was it trial and error ? it’s interesting that you said she’s not a ‘cuddly’ dog as I noticed that,do you think it’s her personality or because she’s blind? Questions questions!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I didn't read or look up anything regarding how to train blind dogs, it actually never occurred to me to do so until after the fact lol I just started teaching her things that I thought made sense to me such as tapping the floor to guide her for example. As for her cuddliness, it's her personality! Even when she could see, she didn't like cuddling 😭
Huskys aren't normally cuddly dogs. They are usually good with people, but just not ones to cuddle on your lap or next to you. They have energy & love to run & play. I've had 6 of them.
Ohhh it's hard to remember exactly but I'd say anywhere from a couple weeks to a month since I brought her home! And she had the most giant ears too! 🥹
Mackenzie doesn't let her being blind stop her from having a full life. She is so beautiful and precious 🥰
She really doesn't! She just knows how to live her life! 🥰

All cats and dogs deserve love no matter what!
Huskies are so beautiful. Mackenzie is a happy, well adjusted dog. You have done an awesome job helping her adjust to her blindness.
Thank you so much! I trained her with my gut feeling on what I thought was helping her!
She's absolutely beautiful. Blind or not, that doesn't mean she's not a healthy, happy pup.
She's a beautiful pup. She knows shes loved , and it's obvious that you love her.
Thank you so much!
She is amazing...My Grandparents were both deaf and blind and I learned from their community that they would prefer to be blind than deaf.
I was also told the same by Mackenzie's eye doctor and it was so hard to believe at first!
Respect for getting a puppy that was sick. Most people would think that was too much work. I got an angel nobody wanted cause she was missing some of her muzzle. She is everything to me
I was told by many to give her back and pick a different puppy but I couldn't just give her away
@@mackenziethehusky I totally understand that!
