Did you try to control the glaucoma? My Samoyed got it, at about 10. I was so disappointed, because I knew if I could just get her past 9, almost 0 chance of getting glaucoma but she got it. Kept her seeing OK for another 18 months spending lot of money on drugs and surgery. Didn't really change her when she finally went completely blind. I had to teach her left, right, step up, and step down.

She is the cutest with that bushy tail and she gets around so well. my husky is almost 15 years old and is going blind he’s so scared of everything because he just can’t see. I feel so bad for him and I’m always there to help him with direction around the house and even outside. All I can do is love and care for him and reassure him I’m there. 😢

I dealt with potential separation anxiety right from when I got my Eskie at 3 months old. What I did, living in an apartment, was go out for progressively longer periods to allow her to grow accustomed to my absence since there are a lot of stores I go to where she is not welcome. As a test, I asked the pup-dad across the hall to listen for her and he reported dead silence each time I left. I can't help but think that talking to her and telling her what I am doing before leaving helped with her adjustment.
