Hello guys ! I'm about to Travel to south Africa, so what are your suggestions you can give to me especially about safety , thanks a lot .
Hallo. It'll be nice to have you. Safety wise, I would suggest to simply do as you normally would. Most places, you'll be just fine, but ask around if you're not sure if it'll be safe to go somewhere. Avoid carrying expensive tech or jewelry out in the open on the streets of the big cities, there might be someone looking to take a chance. Though most places, it shouldn't be too big of a problem. In general, just try to be responsible, then you shouldn't have any problems.
You could also contact touring agencies for the big cities, they will be able to advise you on where not to go and where you should definitely go.
South Africans are generally very kind people, so don't be shy to ask for help or directions.
hey. @petrus marais is correct! one the other side, i just want to encourage you to relax and blend in...be confident. do not be too uptight (but be vigilant)and be clutching on to your possessions as you will be giving off that you are not from here and you are vulnerable...which is a no no! south africans are cool & laid back people in general, keep to the right spots and the right people and at the right times and you will be just fine!
