I graduated ftom Belmont with a degree in commercial trumpet, so I've played with a lot of monster players. That includes bassists, and you're just as good as any of them.
I was also privileged to be friends with Roland Orzabal when we followed each other on Twitter (he no longer posts there but his intense interests were astrophysics and maths, my specialties), and had the pleasure of meeting him backstage. We had a lot of esoteric conversations about God and life, and a nicer, sweeter person you will never meet. I think he would love the way you downplayed this song in its emotional intensity. You should be very proud. As always, great work. 💙💚💜
