This is amazing, you're a genius. Drop C tuning, brilliant... slower than some version, maybe even more accessible for us. Thank you so much, I'm grabbing my guitar right now, will spend my day learning this! Thanks thanks thanks
This is so mesmerizing! I recently have started learning guitar and I know it's a long road ahead and I really want to master this song. But your rendition of this masterpiece of a song has literally left me awestruck, it's perfect, I'd even go onto say it greatly improves upon the original in many ways. Beautiful!
I subscribed to your channel. Wherever you are I hope you are doing great. I hope you continue sharing your side of the realm because you are rare and we need to keep finding treasures like these. Keep going and thanks again.
John your classes are just precious. Thanks for that! It’s not common for me but I subscribed to your channel because it worths! Greetings from Brazil.
John thanks for the tap. I have been looking for this tap for the longest time. Especially when you start from the beginning and right at the middle the Single tap part. Good job... Thank's.
@@johnwm It could be just my eyes, but there is a certain elegance to a B&W scene, which in this case, my perception enjoyed the guitar music with the aforestated effect.

I was confused by the intro a little, until I could sense it evolving into the final product, which is stellar. Thanks for sharing. Is that a Mini? Anyway, wonderful performance. 👍. Subbed you. More please!
@@johnwm it would be amazing if you make a tutorial for this video. It is a bit hard to follow the tabs and learn it. I've been trying to. This version is amazing and achievable I think.
@@johnwm happy accident then.. Very nice version btw.. (some unsolicited advice, to up the production value of your vids maybe get more views, if you put just a low power/soft light on your guitar, just to brighten up the wood and fretboard for those that may want to learn, I think it would have looked nice with the back/side window light.. lighting is huge in video, so is audio, but that already sounds great :).)
@@johnwm John, thank you for such a quick response. I usually tune to Fennah Robs tuning of CGDGBE, that way you do not need to bar on the first several sections of the song which makes the fingering much easier. I usually capo at fret 2 so you still get the lower tuning. Absolutely love your arrangement!
Sounds really good, John. I've slaved over this for a couple of months and am curious if you have the tab to the intro. The intro before you even start playing the first bar. Any shove in the right direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks and great playing.
Is the gs mini going through a speaker? Ironically I also play this song and I've been looking to get your exact guitar for live use and it sounds good enough to me! Great playing too man! I have a cover of this also!
Hey man, no I wasn't using any speaker here. Yeah it's a great sounding little guitar, and perfect for taking places of course. Thanks glad you liked it, I just checked your cover also and it sounds great!
+John Manning it's got so much bass for a small guitar! What's your opinion of the plugged in sound? Is it alright just for playing basic live? Live acoustic always seems to be a compromise and everyone argues over what's good and what's not. Thanks man!
+Guitar Ted Yeah, these guitars come out the shop with medium gauge elixirs so that's what helps it with the heavier sounding bass and volume, it takes a bit of getting used to if you normally use light gauge strings though. I don't use it plugged in all that often but when i do it seems to sound really good, so yeah i'd say it would be fine for live as long as you got a good amp to back it. :)
Drop C tuning (CGCFAD) is the same as the much more common drop D tuning (DADGBE), except it’s one whole step lower. These are the tunings Lindsey Buckingham uses to play Never Going Back Again on various performances. A capo is optional and not required to play the song.

Rick Alsept Yeah that’s the same tuning I’m using in this video (drop c) but you can play it just fine in drop d as well (low e dropped to d and the rest standard)
The guitar is the most beautiful sounding instrument in the world when played by musicians as talented as you are.✌️❤️🎵

I've always loved this song. Your arrangement with what I would guess to be dropped D tuning is great.

Well played.

Fabulous! I happen to be an amateur photographer as well, and the video in B&W just made the experience so much better.
this is not in BandW
Thank you Lorenzo, I didn't add a black and white filter or anything but I think the color of the room and lighting was just naturally muted.
