Stock 2 stock gen 2 has better geometry and feels the power comes much more raw all the way thru rev range. Gen 3 has more aggressive position superior handling and brakes and feels more confident to ride fast tho is a heavier animal. It also tunes bit better on the dyno but not by a significant margin. But 07 those sinister brutal looks is a bike to fall in love with and remove that rear cans install a single full lower system you have almost a 600 weight on a psycho ninja 1000 ..headshakes and power wheelies becomes a daily routine. 08 dont do have that fun factor. 06 07 all day for me. 08-10 it was just an attempt for kawa to become more civillized so is just an experimental machine before the release of the fantastic gen4
No, I haven't made a video on brake upgrade. It's an easy upgrade, put zx14 calipers on, upgrade the brake lines, and if you're still not happy, you can upgrade master cylinder.

Gen 3 is hideous, looks like a cross eyed cat. Engine is basically the same as Gen 1/2, minor tweaks. Nothing beats the purity of the Gen 1 and I'm hardly alone saying that

You're in a tiny minority. Poll the zx-10 forum and it would be a landslide for the Gen 1. Of course you love a bike you own that's rose colored glasses. It's hideous. Might be worse than the current Gen 6 robo beak
for my gen 2, I corrected the defect of the caliper by replacing it with a brembo, I added a gear indicator and I converted my cable clutch into a hydraulic system.
I don’t think there’s another bike in the world that gained 30lbs in one generation. That’s a lot of weight for a sportbike but perhaps a chunk of it comes from Kawasaki going from a titanium to stainless exhaust.
They added big exhaust expansion tank along with big muffler to comply with emissions, good thing they can be replaced with much lighter components. Besides that it was a much better bike than previous 2 generations.

Get rid of all the clutter underneath the tail of the gen2 and add a GP style exhaust, it’s the best looking 10R of all the generations.
