I am not at all surprised that Steven Tyler had no problem with his teen daughter taking on such a risqué role in his music video. Steven himself is well-known for having an adult relationship with a girl who was 15 when they got involved. In fact, he actually adopted the girl so she could go on tour with him and stay with him. Lots of skeletons in Hollywood closets.

🤔 Hhmmm NOPE!! "Crush" was literally the BEST acting I've ever seen her do in her entire career other than "Clueless", but that series script really didn't take EXTREMELY great acting chops. If you know what I mean. She played the pretty, hot, stereotyped, dinghy, blonde.
I've seen other movies starring her, also her not being the lead, and they were terrible. I think she lost her confidence when people started bullying her REALLY bad about her weight gain.
BUT, she never was a really skinny girl, even in "Crush". I liked her size though, because she was curvy. That's probably a black thang though, wyte folks aren't really into curves, and ESPECIALLY Hollyweird.
She really hasn't had a stack of roles, compared to her female counterparts. She doesn't have range, but for some reason she did exceptionally well and actually had range in "Crush". 🤷🏾‍♀️
She literally took on the essence of that character, or women obsessed like that in real life. Maybe it was the writer, the director that really helped her, or the script just had more depth than her other movies.
I just love love movies about obsessed lovers, obsessed ex-lovers, or people that believe in their heads they're in a relationship with the individual they're obsessed with. 😊🤗

Alicia did more than one movie where she played a minor having sex with an adult male. But I was always told Alicia and Liv were friends and that's why she was chosen. HOWEVER... Please remember... Aerosmith singer, Steven Tyler, actually adopted one girl at the age of 13 and had repeated sex with her. He even discusses it in a book..... so them sexualizing yet another legal daughter of Steven Tyler just feels par for the course.

The only movie I ever liked with Alicia Silverstone in it was Blast From The Past with Brendan Frazier, Christopher Walken, and Sissy Spacec.
The Crush and the Aerosmith video were deeply disturbing, because of the prederatory nature they represented about society at large.
I am the exact same age as Alicia Silverstone. My (older) boyfriend use to say I looked like her. He kept trying to get me to dress like her, in Catholic school girl outfits & stuff. It made me uncomfortable. He was dissapointed that I wouldn't get into character... as an underaged femme fatal. That just wasn't me. It's so twisted to impose those morals upon young ladies. Predators like to portray underaged girls as fast and manipulative so they can commit statutory grape and then turn around and blame the girls for seducing them.

And another movie I will always remember her in is called "The Babysitter". I think it was a movie made in the same timeframe as Clueless. She was hired as a babysitter to watch these 2 kids while their parents went to a party for the evening. It was another movie where they really was focused on her "s*x appeal" because everyone was just really oogling after her in that film. It was good though. But a trip 🥴😋.

This kind of proves a very unpopular point though. As you even say you "found the girls very attractive". But finding out they werent 18, you have to what? Automatically not be attracted to them?? No, they're hot! I really hate the double standard we put on this topic. A pedo is someone who likes like 12 year old year olds, or like 4 year olds etc. But finding a 16 or 17 mature looking girl hot, is totally natural imo. And almost every dude I talk to when the topic comes up agrees, but doesnt want to say it out loud. Its a fine line when you get to around 16 or 15, then that's inappropriate for a number of reasons. Call me a pedo or whatever, I'm just being honest about human nature. Im a 40 year old man, and would never actually hook up with a girl under like 24 tbh, but I'm strictly saying what human nature is attracted to. And people who say men are pedos for finding a 16 or 17 year old girl that is really hot a pedo, are just denying human instinct.

💛🖤 I’ve always thought so highly of Alicia. Clueless was such a stand out teen movie and I loved her character. And my mind is still reeling about her mere 16 years of age in “The Crush”. I think about how dorky and awkward I was at 16 and am amazed at her self possessed strength of character. 16!

Crush & Poison Ivy with Drew Barrymore
I never understood how they got away with making movies like this. Blue Lagoon with Brooke Shields 🤢
The way it was normalized to exploit these young girls.

Have you done a vid on Elizabeth Taylor? And I would love to see one on Farrah Fawcett.

The video ‘Crazy’ by Aerosmith is one of my all time fave music videos. I thought it was cool that Steven Tyler had his daughter in the video. They were Catholic school girls ditching school. That’s how it was in Catholic school in the 90’s.

But we wasn't ditching it to hangout with men our Fathers age and he wasn't in our thoughts 🤔 except not getting caught.

Vamps was a really cute movie that Alicia was in with Kristen Ritter. It didn’t win any awards but it’s cute!

Yay!!! The vibey background music is back and I LOVE Alicia! So excited to watch!💛🖤 And also, the “crazy” video and song always gave me the weirdest feeling. There’s something about it I don’t like, besides the obvious. But nothing shocks me about S. Tyler, I mean, he did take part in unaliving his own infant child when the ab0rtion failed. He’s sick! I’d love a breakdown on Liv Tyler too.

I just watched the Netflix movie, Reptile, that you mentioned. Forget about Justin Timberlake,...she and Benicio Del Toro ,who played her husband, had real chemistry. She plays a smart, clever, grounded counterpart , ...impressive

Alicia is a really cool actress and a symbol of her time, Excess Baggage, Babysitter, True Crime, and Aerosmith's videos are classics and are BASE! There are many films of the 90s where I would like to see her, for example, subjectively, she would be suitable for the role of Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat, Tatum in Scream, Nicole in Fear, but the list can be endless, thank you author))

Upon reading the title, I immediately thought of her feeding her child like a bird but I look forward to the other odd things she’s done 🍿I’ve liked her since the Aerosmith videos 👍🏾…and The Crush of course. I didn’t realize The Crush was 1st.

Blast from the Past is my favorite film. The way Brendan Fraser and her character fall play off each other so well is awesome. I see that film a lot!
