My thoughts about the vacuum mentioned in this video have changed after I used it for a while. I’m not a big fan of it. A part broke on it after a while and the suction isn’t good. So I don’t think I’d recommend it anymore.
Get a shark rocket! :) hands down the best I vacuum every single day and it’s the best one I’ve used for hardwood :)
I need to tell you. The best part about this whole video was when you took the time to cuddle your boys! That was so lovely to see. Most moms would tell them to hold on, she was in the middle of cleaning. Kudos to you! Love it!

It’s very hard to be a SAHM - anyone who says it’s not has never done it.
Both stay at home moms and moms that work outside the home have it hard. I have experienced both and I prefer to work. It gives me an outlet. The housewives that I have encountered are messy women and wish they weren't housewives because the husband dictates their every move.
It isn't easy. It seems like it should be but it isn't.....especially when you get burnout.
Your home looks immaculate! It amazes me how anyone can be so neat and organized.
I've been in the habit of making our bed forever.....it's great to go to bed at night to a clean, put together bed, but most of all, I just start the day off by getting out of bed and making it. It pulls the room together and is a great first step to my day. Love your videos.

I'm new to watching you. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is constantly cleaning up something. I have a full house too and I'm constantly cleaning up something. Especially my bathroom. I feel your bathroom can never be too clean cause it's the most used room in the house. God bless 💗

Am I the only one who doesn't clean the restroom with a rag or sponge (only bathtub)....I can't stand the thought off cleaning over the whole toilet with the same rag....instead I use about 4-5 paper towels so I will not have to go over each section of the toilet with the same rag lmao....same thing with the counter...and I have to use one swifter wipe around the toilet section of the floor and use another one for the rest of the bathroom floor
Ash I have the same fear but what I do is use the same rag, but I clean the toilet last so I’m not transferring any of the grossness!
Ash oh yeah I fed use paper towels too :)
Wipe the cleanest parts of the toilet first and then after you're done throw the cloth into the washer to be washed on the next load. No waste :).
Ash | no, you’re probably not the only one. People use a lot of wipes and paper towels. Personally, I don’t like to do that for environmental reasons. I just make sure the I clean the bowl after cleaning the seat.
I do the same thing even though I’m only 16 but I have a 2 year old daughter so I have my own apartment 😂

I made disposable bathroom wipes with paper towels and a pitcher (so I don't have to cut them down). I use one to wipe my bathroom counter and toilet every night before I go to bed. It has the side benefit of making my bathroom trash can smell nice too.
I should also add that I think your home is very beautiful.
I liked the speed of your video and didn't get bogged down in watching you wipe everything in real time speed. It gave me a great overview of all you go about your cleaning. Thanks very much.
"If you see dirt, wipe it". I love this. This video really helped me try to get some motivation. I'm currently pregnant so my energy level is not what it normally is, and my house isn't looking like it normally is. Thanks for reminding me to just do simple things everyday.

Lynette Yoder Wait! What? I didn’t mean it wasn’t good or interesting. I thought it was really good. I just meant we all are so similar in what we have to do in our lives; each home is different but the same. Each home is extraordinary in its own way. Your life, particularly now that my children are grown, is very different then mine but I do remember when! Certainly not ordinary in any way.

We moved to a ranch house that we rehabbed completely. One of the BEST things we did was put the laundry/utility room off the driveway entry and next to the bedroom. It is decorated in a vintage laundry theme. I put a huge vintage wicker basket atop the wash machine and another matching basket on the dryer for clean folded sheets which looks cute and is functional too. Dirty Clothing is immediately popped into that basket from the bedroom. Once the items peek over the top I do laundry. With the laundry room off the driveway I take the wet laundry and hang it on the lines outside. What a game changer this has been compared to the basement laundry in our old house. It saves so much money and time plus the vintage laundry basket looks really nice atop the washer. The laundry never has a chance to build up. Thanks for sharing your routine! I love seeing what others do. 💕

I love that your boys help you clean up. Your daily cleaning routine is very much like mine, especially kitchen and bath. My husband and I are both retired so he helps me with floors and he always makes the bed ❤️

Cleaning works for me by cleaning in 3 hour blocks. Whatever I get accomplished in those 3 hours, great, what doesn't, I just pick up where I left off the last time. I always clean the entire room every time I clean. That way there's never anything that hasn't been done. Also decluttered years ago and it's soo easy to keep on top of everything. I only wash when there's a full load. I love to clean, got rid of all our curtains etc, many years ago. We've just got coverings on the bedroom windows and awnings also on the front lounge room window etc. this way no dust accumulates in curtains.

I've always made Mondays my wash day with the expectation of my husbands work clothes but in May my daughter graduated. It was a busy time and an emotional time. So I have to admit. It has thrown me off. I just can't get back in the routine.

Hi Lynette, we're new subscribers and I really enjoyed this video! May I suggest something? As a teacher of Home Economics, I learned that it's safer to clean the toilet with disposable paper towels for washing and rinsing. (Viva makes a good one.) A washing machine and dryer don't get the temperature hot enough on cleaning rags to kill the salmonella and e.coli found in toilet bowls. Your home is lovely and your boys are precious! God bless!
Elizabeth Morgan this is simply not accurate information. Wash cloths on the hottest setting is what’s needed. Wash hands with soap and water and dry them well. Use soap and water to wash the Loo and finish with some disinfectant. That’s it.
Judi Moss, The only way to test who is right is to take the cloths to the lab.
you guys know there's bleach & other disinfectants for laundry, right? the water temperature isn't the only factor in whether or not those germs get killed
Its ridiculous that the newer American machines won't let the water be as hot as needed for sanatation anymore. Thank God for bleach. And i mean that literally.
@@allywolf9182 I don't think older machines produced water hot enough to disinfect either. (Besides, it really depends on the temperature you set in your water heater.) To kill off all germs, one would have to boil the cloths for several minutes, which isn't exactly what washing machines were designed to do. Washing machines were designed to agitate and loosen up dirt and debris and then wash them all down the drain.

Cleaning? ☺️ I have a combo of cleaning/ cooking/ gardening, home decor coming tomorrow morning.
I do at least a load or two a day. Some days are more because there is three adults and four kids in the house and one in cloth diapers 90 percent of the time. Sunday’s I often forget or am just too tired. But I do not fold everyday. I just can’t. It bothers my arthritis in my back. So instead of having back pain everyday, I do it two to three times a week with other activities that bother my arthritis like mopping and vacuuming. I’m only 32, and I already sound sooo old. 😂 I am also one of those types that hates making my bed. Because then I think about how comfy it is and when is it bed time. 😅 but I do make it most days in-spite of that.

I did a deep clean this past weekend, but it’s hard to find the motivation when you’re out the door by 5 am and don’t get home until 5 pm. I usually just pick up during the week and clean on the weekends.

Your house is gorgeous! Just a word of caution, not that it's going to stop you, but I run my dishwasher when I'm home and can check on it once in awhile just in case it breaks. A friend of mine left hers running while she sleeping and flooded her kitchen.
I started a load of laundry before leaving the house, only to return to a flooded room!

No idea how this video popped up for me, but you know, I appreciate that it did. I usually don't like to clean, i tend to pile things in neat piles (sometimes) but it just adds up, but this video is really simple, and it makes sense. Doing light cleaning every day makes "hardcore cleaning days" less necessary. Or the typical "spring cleaning" might not be so needed unless its for getting rid of things we just don't use, even if its put away properly. Long story short, thanks for the inspiration, its something that seems attainable for me!

The contact paper you use to back your bookcase gave me an idea. I have a closet with UGLY walls, so ugly that painting them would just be a pain. I can't afford beadboard or cedar paneling, so contact paper it is!!
Very beautiful home Lynette. I’m pretty clean and make our bed everyday-my grandma 👵 said it got her blood moving. Laundry ✅ baths 🛀 ✅ btw I love those shower doors. I’ve stopped running my dishwasher as I feel it just makes more work. Cool vacuum too! 😎
I prefer a broom and dustpan for daily floor cleaning. I try to do the same things you do every day.
