This video shows the fried liver attack. A common opening with many traps. The reason why it's so strong is that many players in low elo actually fall for it. It's a great opening trap for chess beginners and young chess players. You can use this opening to improve at chess and increase your elo. Subscribe right now for more chess content. - Розваги
I used fried liver to go from 1000 to 1300 but at 1300 i realized that all of my opponents had a defense against the fried liver.
Edit: lol he changed the title from 0 - 1300 to 0 - 1200
When they play h6 and it counts as theory lol
@@thebrushman4123 1. h4 is also considered theory. But just because it's theory doesn't mean it's good.
What's your rating now?
Just learn opening theory deeper or do puzzles until you can win close games
Or try other openings like scotch or Halloween gambit 😈
Romans 5:8 KJV states, "But God commendeth his love toward us, ln that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us . ./
The counter attack toward the end is called the Traxler counterattack and it’s very good. Definitely worth studying if you wanna be able to combat the fried liver
Another good counterattack for low ELO is Nxe4. Most people take the knight back. Then you play Qh4, attacking the knight. Most the time your opponent will play something like g3, in this case you play Qxe4+ and then take the rook. Levy recorded a video on this, I recommend learning it to you and everyone else who might read this response.
@@CathCatechesis I remember that one too. I can’t remember the name of it because I usually go for the traxler against fried liver
@@cnvrgnt yeah, the traxler is great too. I won a couple games with it too.
The traxler is bad against the bishop check line, personally I don’t think I ever lost to the traxler when I took with the bishop
@@nicolaslevasseur875just because you have not played with me or anyone who really learnt traxler properly

This opening beat Fabiano Caruana (in the hands of Hikaru Nakamura) in Norway Chess 2023, straight up destroying a World Champs Challenger who is known as "the answer to Magnus Carlsen in Classical chess" in a need-to-win moment.
Hikaru winning the strongest event of the year with the Fried Liver will be actual trivia and history.
hi lain
Wasn't it the polerio? The fryed liver only goes after knight takes pawn.
The fact that this video is 4 minutes and 20 seconds long...perfection.

This is one of the best, absolute clearest tutorials on openings I've ever seen so thank you. I have 0 plans on ever using the fried Liver since I have a conscience, but I appreciate the information and it's presentation regardless. I must ask though if it's possible for you to make a video like this on the London. Like most low Elo players I use it as my main opening, and like most low elo players I have no idea how it works after move 3, a clear video like this would be really appreciated.
Yes but that's boring. The mission statement of the chesspage1 army is do wild aggressive things because it's fun either win or go out in flames
He calls it dirty, but in chess you do wht ever it takes to win, even if you sacrifice your waifu
The London?! Are you serious?
Conscience in chess? Now I wouldn't be surprised if someone talks about honor in a strategy board game.

There is a beautiful gambit against the eventual Fried Liver. Not the best, but sometimes called the Italian Game: Knight Attack, Ponziani-Steinitz Gambit, it involves the black knight taking on e4 after the knight attack. There is 2 traps they could fall into, either the knight taking on f7, which gives black an advantage by 0.2, or the knight taking, which when happens, the pawn will move to the d5 square, forking the knight and bishop. This gives black an advantage by 0.6, and after the bishop taking the pawn or something, queen comes in, black has an amazing center.
I love how I randomly saw your halloween gambit video and I thought you at least had like 100k-200k subscribers but boy was I wrong.

Me who is below 600: Im immune to this!!
I lost to a friend like 3 times in a row, as he was playing the fried liver so now I'm emotionally scarred for life
I lost thrice to Scholar's Mate bruh
Play the Traxler against him. He wouldn't dare use The Fried Liver against you ever again (;
I want more videos from this channel. Very good tactics
ive watched this video n many for like 5 times i luv ur content
POV:Your opponent play a gambit by playing Nd4,also known as Blackburn Shilling Gambit, either you checkmate or win a queen in 8 move if you take the free pawn and if you fork when they play Qf7 and the result is checkmate in 3 more moves or win queen in 3 more moves
but it is trash
Just take the knight
Even at 1800 I still play the fried liver cuz most of the time we go into the d5 exd5 Na5 Bb5+ c6 dxc6 bxc6 and although black isn’t losing it’s hard to play the game while being down a pawn and I usually go on winning after that lol
I’m currently 1200, struggling to get to 1300. I wanna reach 1500 by the end of the year. Could we play a few rapid games and you briefly tell me what mistakes I’m making that might be preventing me from achieving my goal?
@@oneofthemones5242I may be 1000 I understand a few of my mistakes so I’d give them to you : not enough opening knowledge, not enough endgame knowledge, not playing enough puzzles/ games to rise higher, takes to little or too long to move, not seeing potential trades or mates (if using pc it would be easier)
, getting scared of losing rating, doesn’t know some middle game tactics. Keep in mind if you learnt all of these well u would probably rise high which might take a while even the best couldn’t learn this within their first year or 2 at a good degree. But I recommend if you check your own games in game review after you have warmed up and see which moves are bad and try to think of the best move and sequence to some degree you might get better keep in mind you need time and I’m 1000
i've paid the subscription mate. apreciate the lesson.

When your opponent learns the entire Traxler counter attack just to be hit with d4 and then Nxf7 anyways
Do evans gambit in meme version pls your vids are absolutely hilarious and amazing
Edit: the fried liver is good but the traxler is godly. However its kinda uncommon even when im at 600 elo no one plays the fried liver against me 😢

This is such a fun opening I might just start playing chess just to use it
Ok so I always thought this was a troll opening, but I just won 3 games in a row with this masterpiece. I am about to use this against a 1600 rated player. Wish me luck
How did it go? These kind of cheap shot openings can actually allow new players to beat better player by sheer luck lol. (I beat my chess group instructor in middle school using scholars mate, he didnt know you could do it with knight and bishop lol)
I mean, more power to us and each one of us who studies this, right? But at that point, is it REALLY chess? You're just playing a mathematically proven clever trap. Then again, I suppose it becomes a moot point once you go above that 1600 elo like you're mentioning; now you get into the territory where people at that level (shouldn't) fall for it!
what if black put his queen on f6????
Suffer
@@FloyDJodelollll
I guess u take his knight???
You can open up your d2 pawn to protect the knight
take the knight and if he captures queen take with ur bishop... and blacks Position is messed up so hust castle and devolop

Bxf7 then after Ke7 D3 or D4
Terrible move

@@caseyrussellwenI've studied on and off for a year now and I now get performance ratings of 2700 -2800 constantly but I should expect that since I have a photographic memory and OCD ADHD and play by ear

@@Adam.Frazier yup, it works very well, id recommend learning more about the fried liver before actually playing it. GothamChess has a good video on it.
@@Adam.FrazierIt does, that's why I'm playing it. Somebody did it against me a while back and despite playing the correct moves it still felt very uncomfortable with the king in the middle of the board, so I decided to play it whenever possible and I'm impressed by how many people just lose back the knight instantly and end up in a terrible spot.
@@Adam.Frazier It works but people start either avoiding it or playing against it decently at around 1000 elo according to my game stats. You're unlikely to have anyone playing into it by the time you're 1300.

When he says that you should abort mission at bishop c5,that's known as the traxler counterattack. When you see that,I recommend playing d5, it's very annoying for black
no its quite easy to counter. Bxf7 is much better
@@geoffreygeorge999 sure, you get a free pawn, but if they handle d5 incorrectly, (let's be honest, we're talking about 0-1500 elo players, they will)you can continue your plan of forking them
