    Great info! I just ordered a FJ55, but haven't built a TF2 for years. These tips will come in handy. Thanks!

    Looking good. I flipped the battery tray so that it's facing the front of the truck, not the rear. It puts a little more weight forward. 00

    A great rc scale garage and a fun new project, always cool to watch a fresh RC Everyday build progress. Can't wait to see the truck in action!

    I just bought my first TF2, literally started building it last night, so your video came in very handy! Plenty of good info, great job!

    As the owner of a well used, well loved TF2 LWB, I recommend ditching the carrier bearing and just getting a longer rear drive shaft. better driveline angles and it just looks nicer. Also lets you run the bowhouse skid without their carrier bearing lift thing.

      This is 100% spot on. The carrier bearing is a waste of space and you're better off without it.

    I like the chassis! So far with the tire and rims package looks great! I’m not so fond of lexan bodies! But I’m looking forward to what you come up with the body. So far so good!👌😎👍

    This is a sweet chassis. now Ill wait for somebody to produce a scale M-37 body kit. I would be all over it!

    there are antirotation bars that prevent the axle from spinning and bend the leafs. that would be a solution to put more power down. saw that in a dragracing pick up truck.

    Do you need the spacers in the axel or can you run it without? I have the Xtra cab 1987 Toyota and I find the wheels are a bit too wide for the body.

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  Рік тому

      You can run without. The spacers only come on the fj55 kit to widen it since they body is so big

    I have the tf2 rust bucket what do I do to make the front better

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  2 роки тому +2

      The major issue out of the box is lack up up travel. Not sure if that rust bucket edition has different hoops or not. If it has only 1 shock I always swap on the gelande 2 front hoops and use spacers to lift the servo 4-5 mm.

    • @RCeveryday

      I would wait, you need to breakin the leaf springs first before you start making big changes. Drive it stock for while and watch it change. Then remove leafs and add things as needed.

    Why not try and mount the leafs underneath the axles like a real truck?

    • @BlueDually4x4

      @@Johnny_Guitar Jeeps and a few other vehicles had spring under axle from the factory, that's why spring over conversions were so popular. Basically a free lift.

      Not that I can think of. Rc4wd makes the 87 xtra cab toyota for it.
