- Running with the new mods to my old favorite TF2, and the leaf sprung 4runner up at the land in Oklahoma. The reefs servo is everything I hoped it would be. The 4runner I still need to work on.

Trail science!! You've become a much better driver than when I first started watching you.. Keep em coming, and I'll keep watching!!
Good old red 👍🏻
On my TF2 lwb, I used a Dinky RC low-pro skid and a long driveshaft. I'm running a 65 turn motor and a 10 tooth pinion (on the single speed). I'm also running a "Newrain" 80 amp ESC on 3s (4s capable). I'm riding on 4.75"x1.25" 1.9s, but I had to lift the body AND the suspension!
Link and coilovers up front leaf's in the rear.
I was thinking the same thing for my TF2! With the Teraflex Revolver Z-boxes and shackles plus super soft springs and 100mm shocks that I put on the rear recently, I find the articulation is so good it may potentially beat a trailing arm suspension, however the front could desperately use trailing arms to open up movement and allow for wider/taller tires.
I absolutely love all your rigs! They're so amazingly scale but I would love to see drivers in them! I think that would certainly add more realism when driving them. Either way, I love watching your videos!
Red is sweet as hell as is! Driver and a dog is all that I would add. Love your videos and thanks for sharing them.
That looks so fun and scale. ... i caught myself saying outlaid: Ooooh, look at that tire flex.
Awesome vid my RC brother 🤜💥🤛 Ol' Red is perfect the way it sit brother i LOVE it 💯
Thank you for inviting us to your land, enjoyed, epic Old Red crawling! No expert but, how
about a different higher turn motor, different esc with 1.55 smaller tyres for your 4Runner.
Great video thanks for sharing it. Both trucks look great.
Video excellent RC4wd TF2, Leaf vs Links, Trailfinder Shootout at the 3 Mile Gorge, Testing the New Mods, respect my friend from Venezuela.💯💯💯👍👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘🤘
It did pretty good... your almost on a rock crawler track.
The body looks great and details.
I rather prefer the handicap of leaf springs. Loving my TF2 Marlin Ed. almost stock, only flipped battery tray, shocks without springs and beveled the ends of leaf (Chino mod I believe it's called) Two years of endless joy. Thanks for sharing. 🖖
I had some pitbull 1.55 growlers I was going to use on my 4runner and the 4.19 tire just looked to big in my opinion so I bought a set of the 1.55 braven berserker which are 3.9 or 4 and they seem to fit alot better.
If you are starting to rub on the back side of the wheel arch and getting into the door mount maybe look into the A&M Garage +4mm leafspring mount. That will get your front tire out towards the front for a better approach angle and also help with the clearance issue on the back side of the fender well.
Man you got some sweet looking rigs!👌😎👍
Do you have a video on the leaf to link on Ole red?
Honestly I can’t remember. Lol that was 4 or 5 years ago
Great video. Sweet crawling.
My linked tf2 bested a stock trx many times. Then my bud went brushless and the 2 speed gave it a unfair advantage with the portals and independent lockers. Still a blast tho always having a competition. Be cool to toss the portals on and a 2 speed and see how they would compare. He also had lead weights and brass so.
THe TF2 Marlin is nice. May I know the setting og the shocks & tires? Thansk.
Try changing the initial punch setting on that 1080 to zero%.
Keep your main throttle control at 100%.
That should help.
On the 4Runner, I wouldn't go with bigger tires, not only for the hassle of messing such a beautiful hard body, but also probably barking at the wrong tree?
Maybe stiffer shock oil to control vertical movement better? or softer? I didn't really see a problem with it, TBH. If you're still wanting more from it, which IDK if it's maybe too much to ask from such a scale rig, I'd probably try a strut setup with a longer rod and maybe springs too, for better stroke, yet same-ish spring rate, so the suspension sits the same, but has more droop and feels less bouncy when moving about? Edit, if the shafts can take more stroke, which IDK.
I wonder if the bunch of up coming full size electric trucks are gonna sound like this when, or even if we can take them off-road?
At 2:50, i think the driver and passenger may have whiplash.
Love your channel!!!
Love it! Great looking rigs :)
Nice trail.
Which wheels are these, I love scale slots on the outer edges!
The white wheels on the 4runner are the Rc4wd 1.55 yota’s. The red truck has 1.55 boom racing wheels with the caps
Add a roof rack to my redcat gen8 v2 its way to top heve now
I run the same tires (Baja claws /1.5) and the foam inserts are very weak. My tires run to flat. What can you tell me about the foam in your tires or where can I look for different sizes or density? What could you suggest?
These are what I run in the red hilux, have been great so far. They come in different heights and firmness.

Is that a Alaska license plate I just ordered the ready to run forerunner I can’t wait to mod it up just a basic ones you’ll have to let me know what front bumper you have? Hey thanks for your time
That is the cchand front bumper. Their parts are super realistic but super expensive. The plates are a special Texas plate “no step on snek” lol
What do you think is better the 4 link kit or the tera flex kit
The 4 link is going to be better IMO
Great Car ❤️🚘❤️
2:22 I simply know that I want to go to Pizza Rock.
P.S. a driver, yup.
Amazing rc nya 👍👍👍😊
How much runtime you get with those 3 cell 3000s?
I dont know exactly how long, but I can take three rigs out for the weekend and use one battery for them all. Hours, lol
You know what you should do is put a set of portal axles under ole red, and call that a fair comparison too! There's NOTHING fair about this comparison. You should have used the tires from the Four Runner on BOTH vehicles for both runs.
Taller tires will increase wheel speed. Maybe try shorter ?
NICE
Howmany MHz RC radio control you are use it in this Car ???
All the new rc radio systems are digital. No crystals anymore.
@@RCeveryday I do miss the old school stuff...
I have to say that I love my moded 9 Chanel FLY SKY FS-GT3C
What sad soul pushed thumbs down😤! Great rigs Josh!! Ol red is pimp love watching it run,,,great looking tf2 .... How ya liking the Cross Country Black Rock? I love mine so glad I was able get one 👍😃😍
I’m diggin it still. Need to make some more time for it so I can paint it. I’ve got a video of it coming soon running at the gorge.
Gear down volt up 🤪
Dope
Try a smaller pinion size
I never think about changing the gears on the tf2s. I’ll give it a shot before I swap the motor.
@@RCeveryday changing gears is cheaper than changing a motor for say. I'd buy a variety pack.
WTF i put 38s on my 14 inch Datsun rims. How the fuck did that work. The same way my german Shepard screwed my poodle. Terribly.
