Why did you removed the skid to replaced the slid
We had to change the plastic runners on amorys rails they were 98% toast there was a spot that has a mm or 2 from bare aluminum.
So are you cold camping the whole trip or do you have a tent stove?
We often ran a stove in the evenings for cooking and boiling water, which also warmed up the tent a bit and helped dry out gear, but not while sleeping.
