@@shiraoririmuru1942 It was alright all things considered. I was playing with a pretty chaotic group of newbies at the time who all brought their favourite anime characters to the table lol
No need to thank us! It's no wonder you get so much positive feedback, since your videos are very high quality. You deserve a lot more subscribers and views, but sadly the people I shared it with don't seem to care a whole lot... maybe once you branch out into more "advanced" D&D content, you will gain more exposure. I will stick with you to see that happen!
I've played DnD for about 2 months already and had 8 sessions, also acted as a DM for 2 sessions. Though we follow rules of some are homebrew and others are old concepts, you're videos gave me a clear understanding of most concepts and it was insanely helpful. Kudos and more power!
Thank you for creating this series. I invited the other players to check the playlist of the series as we are all beginners (me included, and I proposed myself to be their DM). I took notes across the 6/7 videos and I'm intending to share them with the other players to help them even more. In the meantime I got plenty of ideas for my campaign and I'm looking forward when we can finally get started. Thanks again for making D&D more accessible than ever and good continuation. ^^
Thanks a lot for these videos. I'm playing for the first time ever tomorrow, in less than 24 hours, and I've been looking for tutorials all week. Most have been helpful, but yours were the best I found. You explain everything very well, in simple terms, and with great visuals that make understanding the concepts and mechanics that you're explaining easier. I can't wait for tomorrow, it's going to be super exciting! I don't know if you'll ever see this, but I really needed to thank you for how helpful all of this was.
thank you a hundred, thousand, million times over for this! this series was invaluable in learning DnD, the animations and organization makes learning so much easier. i'd tried reading the player's handbook on my own before this and, while i understood most of it, i still found myself confused with dice rolls and numbers, and there was just so much to read and memorize at once. your visuals to accompany your explanations made the rules a lot more memorable. u rock, dude
You have no idea how much these videos have helped... I'm tired of being the noob at my DnD group! lol it would be pretty cool if you created tutorials on the different classes
I’ve been wanting to get back into D&D, but I haven’t played for ages. I’ve been playing other RPGs, but I haven’t played proper Dungeons & Dragons since AD&D 2e. This series was absolutely exactly what I needed! I now feel confident about getting into a 5e game with minimal trouble. Thank you so much for making this entertaining and comprehensive series!
I have been playing DnD 5E since 2016 and your videos are still informative. They are also really well made and easy to understand. Thank you so much for these videos!

Keep up the awesome work!
Well, I’m just starting to play d&d, and these videos were by far the best resource. The visuals are great, things are explained well, and I think I might be ready to start playing. Thanks for the help and keep up the hard work.

So, I've been looking for a good series so I can learn to play D&D. Unfortunately I haven't got the money currently to buy it, but hopefully I can get the book eventually. Later today I'm going to GM a game with some friends that have also never played, so that should be fun. Again, amazing work, it's hard to find a good explanation on youtube of how to play the game without some lengthy explanation as to why D&D is great.

Just starting to play again since 2nd ed. So when you level, are you allowed to choose which class you raise a level or must it be the newest class? I seem to recall in 2nd ed that once you took up a new class, you could only keep the hit points but no skills/abilities of the previous class until you "caught up".
Warlock's spell slot is treated differently and arent part of the multiclass spell slot table So if i were a level 18 paladin and then level 2 warlock I count as a 9th level caster right? So that means i only ever have 1 level 5 spell slot...

What do you think of multiclassing in 5e I think the cons out weight too much to the pros. I could be a good wizard\cleric and help my party with both healing and damage but I really worry I won't be able to do much damage if I focus in one class but also not enough healing from the other. Later down the line when you fight even stronger and harder monsters it's hard making decisions like that cause the dam usually scales all the monster and encounter to the party's current level or group dynamic.
It depends on your build Yes you will miss out on some peak features but it isnt that bad as most classes are generally front loaded a lot of each class' best features are early levels Some domains for cleric allow free heavy armor proficiency Starting as fighter automatically gives you proficiency with any armor plus a fighting style like defense, that boosts ac by 1 when wearing armor, con save proficiency(very important for maintaining concentration) and even an emergency self heal using a bonus action Again it depends on your build dont get too discouraged

I honestly dont know how to have fun any more out of the past 7 sessions i only enjoyed 1. The only reason i keep going now is to see my friends and catch up. But my friends wife has kinda taken that away because if any talk that isnt the game is comming across the table she jumps on you. The whole thing has become more of a hostile thing then a fun past time with my friends. Im at the point where i just dont want to come anymore and if that means not finding time with my friends anymore then so be it. All im really wanting to ask is is there any real way to start having fun again.
Actually, wizards do need to prepare spells. Their spellbook mechanics is quite complicated too. You can watch the class guide here: ua-cam.com/video/gR7EBebu1MQ/v-deo.html

No man is an island. The emphasis for specializing is a feature rather than bug in d&d. You are supposed to let others cover your weaknesses.
It depends on your build
Yes you will miss out on some peak features but it isnt that bad as most classes are generally front loaded a lot of each class' best features are early levels

Starting as fighter automatically gives you proficiency with any armor plus a fighting style like defense, that boosts ac by 1 when wearing armor, con save proficiency(very important for maintaining concentration) and even an emergency self heal using a bonus action
Again it depends on your build dont get too discouraged
How does the hit points work in multi classing does it only use one or the the amount of classes that you multi classing?
At 2:22, I'm still wondering why it's 5+2+1.
5 for the average of a d8
2 for the constitution modifier
BUT why is there a +1 Racial???
It should only get 7hp when leveling up.
I know there is feats for more HP and stuff like that but nothing of that is mentionned here.
Is there a mistake here by any chances or something I missed?
The whole part on gaining HP has this random +1 RACIAL.
Hill dwarf racial.

Dont forget to give valid reasons for your dm to multiclass
It isnt easy but you have to try
One of the best reasons are themes
I have some multiclass ideas based off of so many inspirations
Like how i got very inspired by jason todd from dc comics
Aka the former 2nd robin who was a very serious foil to batman and his questionable moral code
So i made a hexblade warlock oathbreaker paladin inspired from jason todd
Another idea is a veeeeeery 5 animal style kung fu themed character where they are a monk and moon druid
Then finally my personal fave recently
Artillerist artificer with battlemaster fighter
Heavy inspiration from black rock shooter
You just got to be very creative with your multiclass possibilities
Lol. Love the graphical work, 'just awesome. And hillarious :). Thanks!
This makes the whole thing way easier (though there is so much math)
Do you learn the second classes skill proficiency when multi-classing?

If you want a spellcaster with armor proficiency
Start 1 level of fighter and then any full caster
Since fighters get all armor proficiency and even martial weapon proficiency if ever
Even better since you get fighting style at level 1 fighter
And also second wind for an emergency self heal
As a dm how do i know when t or where to give exp and how much
Monster experience can be found in their stat block.
Here is one tip if you want survivability as a full caster without healing
Start 1 level of life domain cleric to ger heavy armor, cure wounds, bless and 1 other cleric spell
Then if you heal yourself with cure wounds you will get at least 2-4 hp minimum
The rest you go all the way in the spellcaster class of your choice
Dont forget to not invest in wis
Invest in cha or int for some casters instead
Since multiclassing has required minimum stats
It doesnt hold the same for starting as that class
You can be a cleric with not much wisdom but is intelligent, so they go wizard
What is that intro song. I want it
If you're a level 5 and your proficiency bonus is now +3, what does that mean? Can I add 3 to something Im proficient in? Can I distribute it? I've looked all over the place and can't find a straight answer. Also, when you level up, do you get an additional spell slot? It means that all your proficiency bonuses becomes 3 instead of 2. Calculate your skills & attacks accordingly.
I don't understand. What does that mean? Do I add anything to my skills?
@@crankyartist111 your proficiency bonus grows in a fixed manner as you level up

Example
Let us say you are proficient in strength saving throws and athletics skill

If you are multiclassing 2 full spellcasters there is a universal spell slot guide as you reach certain levels

Your growth is 1/2 instead
For example, if i were a paladin multiclass where it is level is 18

You can always just use dnd beyond character creation for free and it keeps track of everything for you

Yes
U can role multiple simultaneously tho
Can someone give me Anvilback's class sheet? I need a template for my new class.
Edit: Your D&D videos deserve some damn medals.
Starting to play as DM for the first time. and I barely even played D&D.
So do wizards act like sorcerers and bards? learn new spells but have no need to prep spells?
Actually, wizards do need to prepare spells. Their spellbook mechanics is quite complicated too. You can watch the class guide here: ua-cam.com/video/gR7EBebu1MQ/v-deo.html
THIS IS REALLY GOOD HOLY.
