This should definitely be a new series "What Alex Thinks". Your thoughts/rants are always thoughtful and hilarious. Movies, TV Shows, videogames, or anything else you feel like discussing would be great.
Saw the movie also; I definitely agree with the TV show type plot points; the helicopter crash was definitely the most outlandish, granted I never read the book
Well shit Alex. I've seen three or four other UA-cam reviews of this movie. They all agree, the movie is shit from beginning to end. But I have to say, you did the best job. More than anyone else I've seen, you were able to convey not only that the movie is garbage, but what makes it so foul and odorous. Probably because you didn't concern yourself with spoilers. One thing though. The book did go viral. And again while we all agree that the book is horribly written, lots of people (and by people I mean women) liked the book... a lot. And the thing is, what they liked about it, was exactly what made it such crap. So there's no "fixing" it. If you tried, you could have a better story and more realistic BDSM, but no one would read it. The people that like the book like it the way it is. As you know Grey started out as Twilight fanfic. While the Twilight books are better written (low bar) you can still see that they are appealing to the same perverse and juvenile notions of sex and love.
I'd be down to watch more of these. Some of my favorite videos of yours were the rants back in the day.

I agree with all the points you made. Having not read the books I laughed out loud in the movie theater about how cheesy the lines and dialogue were.
