Lord Jamar spoke to VladTV about XXXTentacion being compared to 2Pac following his untimely death, and Jamar said he could see similarities between the two rappers. He went on to speak about seeing his son visibly shaken like he was over 2Pac when his son heard about X being killed.
During the conversation, Jamar addressed Boosie saying most rappers are killed in their own city. He explained that a lot of crime is about proximity and people taking the path of least resistance. To hear more, hit the above clip.

If he was alive and said he didn't want to be compared to Pac..which I didn't are the way he said it but if you fans respect him talk would let him grow his own legacy.
He is comparable to Tupac in that he connected with his generation. The way Tupac connected with his generation and they understood him and they felt him and were inspired by him but the generation now doesn’t really see that (we understand his iconicness and why he is a legend but if we listened to his music we would not feel it the same way you old heads do) is the same as how this generation understands x, feels him, relates to him but older people do not. X talks about mental health and dealing with loss which is a widespread issue in teens in this day and he is a role model for changing yourself for the better which is what many kids of this generation are striving to do. And from what I know Tupac raps about poverty and black struggles which is what people of his generation were going through. Same way how we felt it when x interrupted his own music video to rap/rant about police brutality is the same as how y’all felt it when pac was all talking about him mama in jail..get it? I barely see people talk about X anymore regardless of all the different things he can do with music. Pac actually tried bringing gangs together to quit fighting eachother, made a code designed by O.G.'S and brothers from prison. Pacs legend goes beyond music. And it's fact that the FBI had that man under surveillance since he was a child. X had more time to focus on music while Pac was out more trying to bring a community of black brothers and sisters together.
