I see what Kurupt is saying. Me being born in 97 I do miss Pac even tho I never met him. It's the music you relate to and how it makes you feel when you listen to it. Pac got me through alot of hard times.
The dude X wouldn't even have made it in Pac's era which was the era of real lyricism. You had to actually be able to rap back in the day and not just combine a bunch of words that barely even rhyme.
X himself use to get mad at this comparison too. Idk why. Like obviously y’all not the same person. But a blind man could see they had the same type of energy and spirit. It was like seeing some reincarnation shit. Just look at the way they talk, they mannerisms. How passionate they get talking about enlightened shit. Kendrick and j cole talk about enlightened shit. But it’s not the sameee energy as X and Tupac . I don’t really know how to describe it. But if you’re really die hard fans of both of them (which I am) you can definitely not only see the physical resemblance but the mental one as well. I wish X actually did more research on Tupac when he was alive. So he could’ve publicly put more respect on his name. But I’m sure X sees everything now in the after life. Two warriors for sure ✊🏾
Goes both ways, you can’t say x was the tupac of our generation, tupac was uniquely himself and there will never be another tupac, ever. Just as there will never be another X.

2 entirely different generations to a younger generation most often doesn't know 2pac or listened to his music same as kids buying Jordan's and never saw him play they just wear his shoes without even knowing why total disconnect and lack of knowledge
Kurupt a good dude. Just bc he can clearly articulate the point he’s trying to make doesn’t mean he’s right, or wrong. In this instance he clearly articulated why he’s wrong on a lot of the points he was trying to make.
I agree with Kurupt. BUT, I can tell a lot of the younger kids and generations grew up on Xx. That’s just facts. I don’t like the kids music but who are we to tell 15-21 year olds what they like? That’s like old heads tellling us pac and biggie and NWA aren’t shit back then.
I get what Kurupt is saying. It's just that people who grew up idolizing the idols like Adam did Tupac, can only compare new people to them. The younger generations don't understand originality because it was robbed from them so everything to them is about who did the same thing better. Old school people know when a legend is born, they are not copying anyone or borrowing virality from anyone. They are creating their own power.
I don’t understand everyone’s infatuation with wanting to be compared to PAC. Everybody wants to fucking be the next 2Pac. But like Kurupt said , there will never be another 2Pac. Nobody will compare to pac . Younger generation will never know what he meant to the world
Him asking why is he still that relevant shows his place and knowledge of our culture.
Kurupt a good dude. Just bc he can clearly articulate the point he’s trying to make doesn’t mean he’s right, or wrong. In this instance he clearly articulated why he’s wrong on a lot of the points he was trying to make.
Lolwait what were all the points he was wrong on..i mean that you THINK he was wrong cuz goodness this comment is all over the place lmfao
I think people don’t understand that X impacted the youth the same way pac did. The comparison isn’t necessarily based on the music, more so his impact on the culture with the topics he talked about. I’m not even an X fan.
