General relativity and quantum mechanics will never be combined until we realize that they take place at different moments in time. Because causality has a speed limit (c) every point in space where you observe it from will be the closest to the present moment. When we look out into the universe, we see the past which is made of particles (GR). When we try to look at smaller and smaller sizes and distances, we are actually looking closer and closer to the present moment (QM). The wave property of particles appears when we start looking into the future of that particle. It is a probability wave because the future is probabilistic. Wave function collapse happens when we bring a particle into the present/past. GR is making measurements in the predictable past. QM is trying to make measurements of the probabilistic future.

You are on to something. We can all see the same thing but we don't know what it is. I say that andromeda is a realm outside of our plane of existence. It would seem like such a long "time" for its light to reach us because we are so tiny compared.
Much like a white blood cell might be outside the plane of my existence. Even though this white blood cell is inside of me, if it were to travel from inside my body to 6 inches away from my face, it would take several of its lifetimes to complete the journey. Even though to us humans, 6 inches is short.
"Distance" may be relative just like "time". Makes you wonder if they are two sides of the same coin.

Here is what puzzles me about present time and how Time “flows”.
What is so special that I’m sensing present time right now? Is it like I’m alive and flowing on a Big Bang wave that is heading into the future with everybody else around me riding on it and experiencing?
But what about before I was even born?; “present time” was still there and existed for everyone else prior. A person from the 1970s for example was in the “present time” the same way as I am now writing this. It makes me want to think that time does not “flow” but everything that will happen is already written and the people who are alive right now are just experiencing it which in turn is relative to each person.
Are we riding in the Big Bang wave of time? I’m not sure about that since time is distorted with gravitational forces everywhere in the universe and where there’s a lot of gravitational force time can distort. What about planets or objects that are really close to a black hole of which distorts the fabric of spacetime? Probably for them, we are in the year 5061 while for us, we’re still in the year 2020.
The notion of time as well as consciousness is very confusing and hard to grasp from many point of views.
I believe in super determinism because i think it is easier to fool a brain into thinking it has free will, than to actually give all life free will. It is a simpler construct.

The simplest solution is not to think of time in the sense of motion but rather as an individual time frame or just a single point, than both a deterministic and free will could both be possible simultaneously
I have a theory.
If the past present and future are all together in the 4th dimension something quantum theory also supports, what if somewhere in the future on your timeline (in this life or in another or other dimension) there exists a version of you that is much more intelligent, conscious, more evolved which almost seems like a god and then from the future guides you on your path and that is your subconscious.
That is what i think we experience as intuition.
That you in the future is talking to you in the now.

I've had 3 precognative dreams in my life that absolutely came true. Specific words said, specific events happening. So I know for an absolute fact, information from the future exists SOMEWHERE, and somehow we can access it, even if just by accident.

Agree with you completely. I've had similar. Not as dreams in my case, but fleeting visuals or sometimes just gut instincts, which play out exactly. And when they happen, the feeling is incredibly weird.
@sonyavincent7450 Mine were definitely dreams and it's possible you just didn't remember the dreams until you were in that moment where you recalled those memories. After my first two experiences, I did some searching on the subject, trying to avoid the mystical and woowoo books. I eventually bought two books by J.W. Dunn. He was an aeronautical engineer in the 30a and 40s when he wrote the books and nobody's really heard of him but the books describe EXACTLY how my dreams played out. In "An Experiment with Time" he describes some of his experiences and performed an experiment where he unlisted friends and family to keep paper and a pen next to their bed and write down their dreams to see if future events matched up. He was scientific about it, dismissing routine things and considering how much time passed between dream to rule out probability over time. He found that almost everyone has these dreams but don't remember them. Writing them down when you first wake up helps you remember them. The second book was called "A Serial Existence", where he explains his theory.... They're hard reads because he was extremely intelligent and had a huge vocabulary but boiled down, his theory was that time is not linear and we've experienced everything we'll experience but our brains only interpret it linearly. He theorized our brains run on electricity and because electricity is at the speed of light and is explained in waves and frequencies, which can change when we sleep and somehow that is the key to understanding the phenomenon. Remember, he was writing these books before we knew much at all about he brain but now we do know some of this stuff does happen when we sleep.

the double slit experiment when they fired particles one by one and the intereference pattern still happend as if you shined a light through the two slits tells me the future has already been writen
I believe the reason why the single electron when fired at the double slits produce a wave interference pattern because when light travels at c it does so as a wave of potential positions in space and time for the single light particle. The light isn't a real particle, taking on a specific location in time until it's observed or strikes an object to be measured.
Thus when the single light particle is fired at the double slits and no one looks or measures it, it travels through the slits as a wave, takes on the wave interference pattern. Then when it's measured to see which slit it went through, the single light particle produces a particle pattern. It all has to do with light traveling at c as a wave of potential light and the observer effect. Simply put, the act of looking is what converts the could be potential ight particle into an exact certainty. Funny thing, these concepts I learned long ago through bible study. There’s several verses where it states God knows the past, present, and future. In Gods realm these three states exist concurrently.

I like the idea of determinism. That's similar to the plot of Kpax where our universe expands and contracts for all eternity and that we've lived the exact life we've lived. Gives new meaning to the term "soul mate".

You have shown limitess possibilities of interpretation, comprehension and our understanding of the universe. The understanding is at a very superficial level. We have only scratched the surface of one moon. Our eight planets and more than two hundred moons around these planets are still an enigma and we haven't yet scratched them. Cosmos is too big and Voager space probes are just tiny boats floating since 45 years which is still under the influence of our sun. Voyagers have enhanced our knowledge but again it is just as a fleeting glance.
Determinism vs Free Will is a deep philosophical subject and will remain dicey for long time to come. However, my belief is that humanity's achievements have been by the efforts of dedicated work of Free Will, though many may refute this.

So there's an experiment I'd like to try. Where you have 3 individuals. Two observers and one in action. This must be done at the distance of the first observers naked eyes distance at the point where the action can be observed as still being able to clearly observe but right at the end of this distance. The second observer only looks through binoculars and thinks he or she is controlling the experiment. The action will walk along a white wall in dark clothing and before he or she reaches the end enters a door. Now to the 2nd observer they tell the action to go in the door and ring bells or make enough noise so the 2nd observer can here. The first observer also wants the action to do something it wants the action to stop when given a signal just stop and stay still. Now the 1st observer says to the 2nd tell me when you observe the action enter the door but don't stop observation. And as the 2nd observer says he's entered the first gives the stop sign. What happens to the action and each observer? I already know what each will observe and hear and what they won't. So the first observer will only see the action standing there, but the second will see it enter and ring those bells along as he keeps observing? And to the 2nd as he scans the wall the action won't be there, but to the first, the action never entered the door or is ringing any bells. He's still standing still. Scary good experiment, eh?

I kind of like the concept of a growing block universe, with time as nothing more than a labelling system for different states (or configurations) of reality. The fourth dimension could then just be a huge storage device for past states of the cosmos...kind of like a stack memory in computer science.

I've thought about this a lot. It makes sense on a deeper level. If what they say about the 4th dimension is true, then this would also HAVE to be true as well.
You do have free will to make a choice, but oddly, whatever you do was always what you were going to do.
I can see how the past can be viewed, but not visited, as when you attempt to approach the past it accelerates to the present. The future cannot be viewed or visited, simply because it hasn’t happened yet. I understand how time and its theories work and the sense behind the views of it, but there is also practicality.
I've often wondered, what if free will is real but the catch is, the universe isn't just past, present and future, but also contains every choice we could make. So technically, we chose to drink the coffee, not drink the coffee and never even try coffee are all equally true.
The idea of future has already happened and free will is not over whelming. Einstein's theory of relativity tells us that motion effects time. So, if we are walking towards someone depending on our speed "how ever small", will tick slowly. If we were to over exaggerate this the individual will notice that the arrow on our watch is ticking slow and we our walking motion will appear slow. From our point of view the individual's watch will tick faster. Well, who is right? According to Einstein, they are both right. Time is in the eyes of the beholder. Free will exists. It would be a fallacy and against science to think that free will is an illusion. Who ever tells you that, they are trying to sell you something.

For the future to have already happened, or to even be predicted, Superdeterminism would have to be true. IMO, there's no way a universe which allows for quantum mechanics, which is probabilistic at best, could ever be so predictable.

The way that it interacts with our free will is that we are part of the universe so the universe is well is connected to our will or I should say we’re connected to it. We get a little portion. GOD gives us a little portion to be able to share.
I believe that there are infinite number of potential routes life and an individuals life could take, and every possible route has already occurred. BUT, we can still determine which route thatis taken by choices we make. So yes, although every choice we make would have already occurred, it only becomes 'real' to us when we make that choice

some of the most useful concepts ever evolved in human culture and
I would bet they are the most ubiquitous.
Time might be like the theory of a 4D universe. In theory you can travel in a straight line from Earth, and eventually may end up on Earth. Maybe we are returning to the same point in some time from the past, while by the time we return to the same moment in time, the moment that we've returned to in the past has changed, making for the possible illusion that time is a continuum. Is Continuum the correct word?
Our choices are all predetermined. I believe what ever choices we make set us on a different path which place us in a different universe from where we started. Every parallel universe directly connected with the next. What I’m trying to elude to is that our individual choices automatically place us within a vast multiverse. We don’t realise it’s even happened as it’s seemless. So multiple versions of ourselves ( existing all at the same time) making different decisions.
So every single choice we make has an outcome (infinite)which make all of our choices predetermined.
I feel I am in a different universe now than the one I was born in. It is quite weird.

I think the future is fixed if we as people or as a collective do not change.
But as soon as we decide to take a different path, we can change the timeline and we have another timeline ready. Every choice has consequences and behind every choice or event there is a timeline. On a micro and macro level.

If the most horrific crimes are as predetermined as a hurricane, it doesn’t make sense to call that hurricane evil.
I do believe magic happens when we go against the universe will or nature. Its like a whole universe / timeline branch out and form the new timeline seperated from the original one. The original timeline still occurs but it has been seperated and leave like film. The timeline that we are experiencing is now considered as sacred timeline, in our own perspective, at least. I might be wrong but its bright and happy to think about.

It is physics but some Unnatural laws of physics like quantum involved making it pretty difficult to comprehend the true nature. There are soo many ways the time laws can be corrupted making it a bit hard for an easy explanation. But it is being governed by physics, more like a mix of game snooker and collective consciousness coming into play at the same time . We can tell something is going to happen but we can't guarantee the path making it difficult to find the end result in one specific way , and no one knows what happened to the other possibility that we previously determined or saw. Maybe that possibility is destroyed based on the prediction but the result is not destroyed but found a way.
If time is like a wave can't it be going forwards and back and changing things and then coming to the now and we wouldn't notice?

In a way, relationalism (unlike relativity) has motion of matter as motion requires a change in time, an interval of time. So, perhaps can say, motion is an interpretation because our brains record and remember something.

After a lifetime of believing 'time' to be a fundamental aspect of existence,

Is it possible that all of time is already written and accessible AND free will is available to us? I think so. Say I spontaneously decide to stop my commute to work and go home and do nothing. That would feel very much like free will, but also could and would exist across time. I think as long as you’re bound by time, you’re free to do with it what you like. But those decisions exist across time.
Our time is very very slow in comparison to the universe’s time. It’s like watching a firework exploding; maybe 2 seconds have passed until everything went out, but in those two seconds, there were thousands of civilizations like ours that were born, perished, or died with the last spark of that explosion. Therefore, past, present, and future exist and can be seen unfolding all at the same time, from the outside and simultaneously.
There is no past or present or future or time,
these are just modes of thought.
There is only matter moving relatively.

It's funny that someone who thinks that space time is smooth and continuous also thinks that events happen out of order.
Time is whatever time is. The decisions we make or the things we learn will not change anything, other than what we see and how we see it. Determinism is irrelevant, otherwise where does it stop? If an ant turns left rather than right, what does that change for us. I find these videos fascinating.

I think we have no frickin' idea.
It's all very complicated. We get the idea that all of time exists because the concept of now and synchronicity is relative. But that comes from the idea that events are different for a moving observer, as opposed to a stationary one. But how can there be any movement in the eternal four-dimensional block universe? Things are eternally as they are at one point in spacetime. And they're eternally as they are at another point in spacetime. At time1 I'm here and at time2 I'm there, but I haven't moved from one point to the other, I've always been in both places 😂Personally I prefer Parmenides view of Eternalism to that of modern physics, because for things to be as they are, for any length of time, for any of us to truly exist, we all have to be immortal and eternal.
