The "clicking" in the legs is actually supposed to be normal. NECA was getting complaints that some of the recent predators were starting to get floppy legs (supposedly) due to mold degradation. Some of the recent ones that have had problems with this are the Lava Planet Predator, the NES Predator, and that Combat-Armor Borg. In an effort to fix it, they actually reworked the legs a little and added in a ratchet to the joint. It is totally new with this wave. However, it doesn't seem to be 100% executed perfectly. The fact that your Elder's one leg is ratcheting pretty solidly means that it is a pretty good joint. I picked up all 4 of the new Predators, and I think each one has one leg that is pretty solid like that, and one that has a less prominent ratcheting. So it is a new re-working of the legs because people were having problems. I imagine down the road in a wave or two, they'll probably have it worked out a little better, so the legs ratchet more uniformly. I do agree about the flimsy, floppy plasma caster, though. I think every recent Pred I've gotten has had a weak/loose caster. That's another little problem they need to address some day.

I noticed reviewers prefer the first version over this one and I felt I could do without it as well, but I gave in and I definitely do not want or plan to get rid of it. It's just awesome enough to make it a completely different predator! There's something about it that I had to have it around. Yes, it's another $20 but my it looks great.
I think I speak for all of us when I say I appreciate what you do keep up the good work + you deserve way more subs because you have like 100 vids and most of these figures are 20 $ each so when I do the math 100x20 that's over 2,000 dollars spent on action figures and there are action figures you reviews that are way more 2,000$+ and only 17,000+ subs but it is what it is I want to say only last time thank you for all your work Keep it up I think this channel will never die out
This is what I love about the newer me a predators and aliens. They're making them more like the hot toys but unlike hot toys they make them very inexpensive but also awesome!!!
I agree, I definitely prefer the new one over the old one. As far as looks/paint go. However, I like my original masked classic/jungle hunter from series 3 just fine if not better then the rerelease. Since I have him posed pretty straight up; no added articulation was needed. Great reviews looking forward to your thoughts on enforcer and bad blood

Hello. Does your Elder predator v2 has one leg slightly shorter than the other? In mine, the right leg is about 2 mm longer because the ball joint is attached lower and that makes the whole leg appear longer. It's a 2 mm difference but still. When trying to position him straight, he appears lopsided. I was wondering, is it only mine predator?

i didn´t get the original elder because of the QC issues, but this guy looks awesome, the trigger hand is a great improvement, i hope the Loose cannon and hands and the clicking leg are not a common issue, great review :)
I just picked up this one today and had 3 minor problems with it as well. The 1st being that the head was kinda loose but it was an easy fix, the 2nd was his his hand that holds the flintlock pistol, I had a hard time trying to remove the original hand which took a bit of effort but it was not that hard, and the third is the loose plasma castor. But overall it's a good figure.
I still remember the joint snapping issues with the original Elders.. I went through about 3 until I got one that wasn't broken right out of the box x,x On to this though, It looks like a decent upgrade but I don't personally think it warrents a rebuy if you have the original, which is still in my opinion one of the best predators released to date :)

all of these have the loose floppy plasma caster. just watch the other reviews on here. mine does it too. i think neca got a bunch of complaints about it getting stuck and snapping off on older figures so they overcompensated in the other direction with it. i just leave it down all the way in the "standby" position like he did with it in the movie.
William Hammill It doesn't seem to have as many issues as the old release, but I would still recommend caution in general with any figure like this. Warm water is your friend with stuck joints.

DJ SANCHEZ Yes. I usually heat a small cup of water in the microwave for about a minute, then soak the joint in the water somewhere between 30 seconds and a minute. You can also use a hair dryer for the same effect.
Destyn Marshall I'm going to try to get my tips video up soon with a better explanation of how to do this, but basically you can apply a small amount of super glue to the ball of the ball joint, put the hand back on and keep moving the hand while the glue drys. This will add a layer of material to the joint, tightening it up. Just don't let the glue dry in a way where it causes the hand to become stuck.

I finally did after I bought V2, thinking I would swap him out in the new package and return him, keeping just V2. the minute I took out original elder, his fucking left arm snapped off. I swear I just breathed and it came off. good enough, now I have an actual reason to return it and keep V2. he looks better anyway. win/win.

i had the same problem with the right hand but the ball joint broke off and the left leg was twisted too
I fixed the shoulder cannon ball joint by placing a tiny piece of paper in the cannons hole. It tightened it up 100%! Ez fix

My head was very loose and so was my cannon i tried blu tac but eventually i took it back the next day
