- The Portrait System's studio tour with Stacy Murphy is a story of love for both the camera and who is behind it. From the moment she first was handed a camera back in high school, she knew photography was her calling.
Like many, Stacy has a far-reaching background for the past 20 years shooting everything from weddings, with news organizations, and for families. It wasn't until about 10 years ago when her genuine love of children and babies led to her realization of what she wanted to specialize in: maternity and newborns. So much so, Stacy's passion led to her becoming a certified postpartum douhla, a prenatal yoga teacher, and now hosts her own podcast: "A Breath of Fresh Baby."
This expertise in babies and motherhood has only strengthened the unique experiences she offers to her newborn and maternity photography clients. Tune in to learn more about her in-studio lighting setups, what she offers her clients, and her experience with Sue Bryce Education.

The babies don't mind the flash? Some pets do. I usually use continuous lighting for pets, but I haven't tried infants yet.
Typically you use a really low level of flash, just as accent or fill.
