Mr. Christopher Patrick Bounds. Man I am so proud of you. You represent our city on the drum kit very well. I knew this young man would be a great drummer, simply because you said he would be. Chris.... you are one of the best drummers in the world. Thank you.
Just so if anyone is confused. When Tevin explained the "paradiddle right hand part with the kick" lick round 13: 33 mark. Except for the kick matching the right hand part that makes the lick sound cool, personally I think it's the placement of the accents and the grouping that actually made it saucy. It is not a full paradiddle, it's a right paradiddle plus a left hand 16th note which turned the lick into a grouping of 5 16th note. RLRR,LRLR,RLRL,RRLR, etc... However, when he actually played it in the groove, he started the lick on the n of 1, he inserted 2 single strokes before the first paradiddle. Or one might call it a double paradiddle. Anyways, the sticking for that is: RLRL,RRLR,LRRL,RLRL. Hope this helps someone. Great stuff!
I'm sorry, I cannot get enough of this Groovin in Memphis shows. This one so far is my favorite. I'm glad to find out this young man's name, considering I enjoyed watching him demoing cymbals! Most definitely going to learn is practicing and grooving licks. He's just down right Nasty! That means Great for those who don't understand. 😂
Great drummer, cool attitude too. I do think you guys could’ve helped him by using a track, metronome etc. You can’t seriously expect him to effectively play a song in his head and then ask him to show you how he plays the song. He handled it like a boss though. I wish everyone involved every success
That’s the natural room sound and the Yamaha recording custom drums. If you were to walk into the room, you’d hear the exact thing. Memphis drum shop adds nothing to the sound when recording

That snare is tuned to pure perfection 👌👌😤
Two great drummers!
I sometimes watch the cymbal demos just to hear this guy play. The channel has helped me select a lot of great cymbals along the way.

I was confused a bit but I realized there’s an extra ‘L’ stroke after the paradiddle. Hope that helped
Excellent drummer and my favorite Memphis Drum Shop demo-er!

Great Video! Great Drummer! 🙏🏾🔥
hot damn, what a great player!
Drumming to me is one of the hardest things to explain because so much of it is predicated off feeling!! But he explained it great
3:46 In The Air Tonight?!
What is the sticking for the lick at 15:47-16:05?
Dang ! what a pocket
Unreal. Diggin!! Any tips on tuning up the kit like this or is that the room sound?

I know him 👊🏿
Is that a VicKick felt beater (flat side)?
Good eye!
Very cool but you could have helped him with some backing tracks or a bass player.
