      That was great, cheers.
I’ve read several of those, and agree about JD. I like his very detailed analysis of things, but other times - too complicated. I still consult Advanced Marathoning, as well as your own!

Thanks for putting the list up, very helpful! While it is not purely a running book, Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand should absolutely be on the list.

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestion. There are so many running books that are great. Did you watch part 2 and part 3?

I absolutely love Scott Jurek's Eat & Run. Much better than North, IMO. I also have a few Matt Fitzgerald books which I really like but I have not read Running by Feel. Curious to find out whether other Matt Fitzgerald books made your top 10. His 80/20 book and his marathon nutrition book really set me on the path I am now. Obviously, your book rules them all ;-)

Favorite thing about Eat and Run is that the story overlaps with Born to Run. I was like “hey! I know those people!”

Organic vs non organic in the whole foods? Would you touch on that a bit? I don't have a Costco. You spoke on things you don't eat and foods you do. Or if you're already done a video on this could you please share thanks!

Good question. In short, look up the dirty dozen, and the clean 15. I follow that for organic. But the most important is to eat organic greens and organic berries.

      Here's my take on this..
I have watched this same pattern play out repeatedly over the years for decades now. The government green-lights a good number of pesticides. People push back against it. Industry supporters demand "proof these pesticides cause harm to humans", which is the opposite of how regulations are supposed to work. Obesity and cancer rates continue to climb. Most noteworthy: obesity is rising in the animal kingdom all around us too. Then years later, a few of these pesticides are shown to cause obesity, diabetes, or cancer, etc. It takes several years to break through the corruption to take them off the market. Yet by this point, the chemical sector has invented several new pesticides and we are already at the "prove they cause harm to humans stage".
The whole time, if you just bought organic grains, nuts, and produce, you'd avoid all of this insomuch as there was no fraud in the supply chain. The more people who switch, the more economically viable organic farming becomes, rendering previously expensive arable land potentially exploitable as an organic farm, which also increases the real food supply.

Wow! That’s a great start! At that rate you’ll have 9 of the top 15. Good reading Scott!
