Not only is 'Game Night' the best series running that covers tabletop games, it has the best group and excellent camera and sound work. 😀 Every episode is fun and just a joy to watch. 😃 Ty ty to all of you! 😄 I agree the colors and artwork are beautiful. 🙂
Rules correction about citizens area with regards to forming a triangle: @11:02 Only diamonds beneath the placed diamond receive additional points. In other words, the top of the triangle does not receive the additional points. "... In addition, all players with diamonds on spaces beneath your newly- placed diamond receive points for those diamonds (1 point each for diamonds on the base level, and 3 points for diamonds on the second level)." THANKS for the video... always fun to watch.
What’s great is Nicki coming from behind shows what can often happen in a Knizia game where there are many ways to score. You are mine and my wife’s go to group for watching play throughs.
Correction for 5:48 - The latest rules removed the "5 points if you get an extra action but there are no cards". You simply get nothing. (This has been confirmed by the game's editor on BGG)
Great exciting ending - interesting game I suppose tile placement/area control with trade offs and lots of areas. Other than the tiles themselves its hard to get the connection with glass making. Lovely to see Dave again with the team
What a beautiful looking game. I realised it wasn't the game for me when I imagined my family & friends' faces while I explained the endless different ways to score.
LOL, it's funny - I only had a xerox copy of the rules, and for this section, they didn't really offer any clarification. It never occurred to me that the cards would have the info that the rules didn't :)
Oh wow. I came here wanting to warn people that the current English rulebook has a huge error that I learned about after our first game, and I learn about this now lol
Well done to the winner (not wanting to spoil it!). Highly enjoyable and a fun outcome. I don't really think this game is for me, but it was fun watching you guys play it as always.
You should absolutely give it a try if you get the opportunity. It is more fun than I thought it would be! Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
Feel like I need to check my board game credentials - Dave mentions 1:49 “but we’re not drafting.” I assume that’s because you’re play and passing? I’d always thought this was drafting, I suppose ‘drafting’ as Dave implies here is building up a whole hand? So Terraforming Mars would be drafting but 7 Wonders isn’t?
Threw me off as well!! In my book this was quintessential drafting!! Respect these folks experience, a ton, so it kind of rocked me for a minute, until I watched more videos were every reviewer cause it drafting. Why Dave does not? I guess some things can be classified under “the mysteries of (board-game) life” lol
Andrew, we will have to try to have it added since I don't think a US publisher has indicated they will produce it here. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
I got to play this at Dice Tower West and it is super fun! Thank you for your video (and teach, Dave!) that got me oriented and had me interested. I'm ready for the English printing. Dare I say it - Kennerspiel des Jahres ???
"Connected" tiles in the workshop is confusing. Tiles sharing a side are clearly connected, but what about tiles that touch only ay corners? The rule book only shows a diagram where sides are connected, but does not address tiles only touching at corners. There seems to be a general consensus that touching at left/right corners is touching, but touching at top/bottom corners is not touching. Maybe because the space between top/bottom on the board is slightly larger than between left/right???
That super long row takes such a weird dynamic in 3 player. Someone has to do a sacrifice to stop Nikki’s bossing of the area. Actually it seems like everyone had an area of dominance but it needs everyone to purposely sabotage themselves a little bit.
Love the colorful pieces, reminds me of the other glass themed game you played with the dice. Not sure if it's doge but it makes me doge coin whenever you mention it. Love the video 😁❤
I don't believe that is the case but I will look at the preliminary English rules we have to see if that is the case. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
Ok so quick question, it took me some time but apparently link and niki are married, are Dave and niki siblings…? When I first started watching I thought Dave and niki were married based on her seeming “contention” for him when explaining rules or enthusiasm, whatever but then I finally picked up on link and niki being married even if I hadn’t picked up on it it would have been glaringly obvious during the pandemic “game night, date night”
Dave is just a great friend to us both. We've known him a long time. Nikki and I have been together a long time as well. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
I agree completely. This is the first printing so maybe it will change with the English edition. If I recall correctly, Schmidt didn't print any cherry bomb extras with Quacks and fixed that in subsequent printings. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
I was really looking forward to this one but there’s many complaints about the game at a two player count. It looks like a really fun game that was right my alley but we only play at two so we will probably pass :(
I too generally play at two but there some variations on BGG that address it to make two player better. We have a weekly game meetup so would be able to play four as well. More likely than not will get this.
Dave's genuine enthusiasm is just so damn infectious and enjoyable. ;)
I definitely tend to gravitate towards the videos that have Dave in them

Totally agree !!
Definitely. The production value is impressive.
Agreed!

Sigh... yeah, THIS one I shoulda caught. Fortunately, I don't this (or the other) mistake changed the outcome of the game... this time, anyway :)

Thank you so much! We are happy you are enjoying the show. And the Nikki win was great. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln

That answers my question as well for a "no more extra tokens" - no 5 points here either for sure!
Good job with the video. Nice to see Dave back and looking good
Thanks for the cool video! We love GameNight and often buy the games we see here. I bought Mille Fiori today :-) Can’t wait to try it out.
♥️♥️♥️
Nikki was really killing it, hats off! Cool.
Looks amazing, and very Knizia. Can’t wait for the US release. Thanks for the video!
Just about to play this soon. Everything was well covered and easy to understand. Thank you!
Thanks for the teach! Looks fun!
Awesome! I was looking at this game just yesterday when I found out about an English release. You all pick some bangers!
Another rule correction: In the Workshop area, tiles that are horizontally next to each other count as connected. This is even shown on the cards. :-)
LOL, it's funny - I only had a xerox copy of the rules, and for this section, they didn't really offer any clarification. It never occurred to me that the cards would have the info that the rules didn't :)

It is strange that only vertical diamonds are non-adjacent.
I used those fluorescent triangles in drafting back in the day too.
Reiner Knizia does it again.
From France, love how Dave is explaining game. So crystal clear.
Classic episode. Thanks.
Woot, Nikki won a game! Awesome! Great play, looks like you all had fun with this.
I guess I should never read comments before finishing lol
That’s on me 😂
Awwww spoiler
Probably doesn’t matter but at 32:00 Dave didn’t get a point for his orange glass in the trade route
On 29:52, shouldn't Nikki receive 3 points instead of 2? They are connected right? Otherwise very lovely playthrough, love it!
Cool Game!

@@boardgamegeek I will always watch, I adore you guys. Always great. Take care.

Beautifull!
That Guy Fieri joke was great.
Great video. I just saw that the English edition is available?!? Do you know if this is coming to the Geek Game Shop?

Eeey Nicki won, congratulations!
This looks like so much fun!

Yes, all sides excepted for vertical diamonds are adjacent. Left-right and diagonal are connected . Up-down are not.
Go Nikki 🥳
That super long row takes such a weird dynamic in 3 player. Someone has to do a sacrifice to stop Nikki’s bossing of the area.
Actually it seems like everyone had an area of dominance but it needs everyone to purposely sabotage themselves a little bit.
It looks fun but I worry that it might be a little “samey” after a couple plays.
Love the colorful pieces, reminds me of the other glass themed game you played with the dice. Not sure if it's doge but it makes me doge coin whenever you mention it. Love the video 😁❤
Do you have the name of that game?
Is the dice game you're thinking of Sagrada?
Unfortunately the fourth color they aren’t playing with is red, not sure why they picked the closest color to orange
24:48 - she was right, those were connected
After using the three bonus tokens for extras, if you still have an extra is that then 5 points?
I don't believe that is the case but I will look at the preliminary English rules we have to see if that is the case. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
I know a Knizia when I see one...
Looks like a pretty nice point salad.

They should of provided little 100 point chits since the scoring in this game is insane.
Yes, they should have.
