This game is awesome. I love the art, bits, and the way the game is both challenging and forgiving at the same time is great. It’s challenging not by making it hard but by encouraging you to try to get as much as you can done.
Thanks for teaching the game Nikki, and the playthrough on this game. Wasn't on my radar and agree with Aaron, reminded me a bit of Everdell. Components look very nice
At around 1:38:10 Lincoln put a worker on the field. I've played this game a couple times and the way I was taught, you don't need workers for the field (and other workshop cards that go above the board) You only need a home die to activate those cards.
Some people suggested that to speed up the game, you can have every player bringing their own communal dice. After that, the person who starts the turn rolls their set of communal dice first and then everybody around the table put the same numbers on their dice. After that, everybody place their workers at the same time but if you put a worker on a spot where you have to dig/pick a card, the first person who would need to play, clockwise, take a card first, then the other player after him and so on. Another way would be like I just explained above (with every player having their own set of communal dice and copying the numbers of the communal dice of the person who officialy begins the tour). The only difference here would be that the players around the table put a worker on the board one after the other : so it takes 4 quick rounds to place/play your four workers! This makes the game more dynamic and enjoyable, with less waiting time What do you think of that ? 😊
I had been hunting down a KS deluxe copy of this and finally found one. My copy arrived today and I played a 2-handed me vs me learning game right after work. It is so fun!
What is the difference between the KS deluxe and retail? (Ignore me I've found out now) I'm finding it hard enough to get a copy in the UK as it is. Gutted when they do plays like this they don't always identify the version. The KS is so much different to retail :(
Great play through! Family and I love this game and play it a lot!! Nikki had some seriously nice comfort combos with the the books on the lights and high point cards! Not sure if I can look at the stones the same.. Thanks Lincoln haha :) love these vids and always look forward to them! Keep up the great work. Massive shoutout to KTBG .. an excellent game and can’t wait for Maple Valley!
I LOVE this game ❤️. Such a great new worker placement/ worker speculation (because you are speculating on what your workers will be able to do or not) game! :)
This looks like a great game. I love light worker placement games, and the anthropomorphic animal games are hot sellers these days. I'll put this on my wishlist for fall.
I think what got me interested animal-themed stuff in general was reading the book Redwall by Brian Jacques in middle school. It remains one of my favorite childhood books.
I’m really exhilirated and impressed by this game. It’s kind of lighthearted, like the same vibes I’m getting from Everdell, Honey Buzz or Meadow. And man, the production value is lit. I believe this is just a recent release? Because checking on my local place it’s still kind of radio silent. No pre orders even. Dang, I want this 😭. Nice vid guys! 🥰👍♥️
Super awesome play through - Ty ty so much🥰🥰 Ordered the game while watching and the 'Game Table' promo cards from the BGG Store that allow the re-rolling of one ,or both, Family Dice - Woo-hoo🥰🥰😇😇 Would love to see a playthrough of the follow-up Maple Valley🥰🥰😇😇
Nice explanation Nikki, unlucky with that first roll not a good start, very funny re apples and socks! We had a weird ball thing to darn socks when growing up but nobody darns any more (they are way ruder).
Wish you guys would have mentioned the Family “powers” and “Dreams Come True” expansions that come in the Kickstarter version! They are fun to play with (especially the family abilities).
fun playthrough of a great game. i bought it cause i'm a sucker for anthropomorphic animals (read lewis trondheim if you haven't) and thought it will hit the table a few times as a light worker placement game, but it showed a significant staying power. it's simple, but there's enough depth and decision making goodness for it to be in a rotation on our gaming nights.
Wyatt Earp is a great classic underrated game. We have played it hundreds of times. Whenever we play it with someone new they want to go buy it. Good call on the multiple copies!
I wish the guys would stop interrupting her as she explains the game. It takes far to long and I can tell she is getting annoyed. Overall great game to watch played.
Another two hour long GameNight video is always needed.
10 minutes into this video and I was already ordering a copy of this online. Thanks for showing it.
I think this may be the first time I've watched you play a game that I already owned. :D

At 1:13 "Everybody's gotta die!" Wait, what??? Ohhhh... "Everybody's got a die [dice]" LOL
I happened to glance over at the right time, and the Gamegenic Catan-themed products at 30:59 look cool!
Fun game! I kept looking for Yarn, which is naturally occurring in Yarn bushes in the valley, haha
solid rules explanation Nikki, thanks! This is super helpful
BoardGAmegeek is back baby! let's GO NIKKI!

This game is giving me Little Bear vibes. Just a calm adventure atmosphere. 😊

This looks awesome! Definitely going on the wishlist. And I did hear a solo mode. 🥰

Great explanation of game Nicki. I played this with Sarah and Nic and really enjoyed but forgot how to play. 😊
Very nice worker placement and dice manipulation game, thanks!
Fun playthrough and teach. I hadn't considered this before, but may pick it up as a new game for my group of mixed experience players.

What an amazing game, another one to order.

Fun looking game!
I love this game! So happy to see you play it!
Also! The opening is a little different now! WAHH! Change! (But I will get used to it. :) )
The sneaky Gamenight preview
Where do you get the cool tokens?
Oh the shelf, behind Lincoln, are there multiple copies of Wyatt Earp(the Rio Grand ed) ?
Indeed there are! We love that game and have copies to give to friends if they like the game. Thanks for the note and for watching-Lincoln
@@boardgamegeek I just pulled that off the shelf the other day to teach at Game night at my FLGS, so the image is was fresh in my mind.

@@BGBarbarian I even found out there are newer rules to the game, Like the Photos cards can be played out of turn when a Meld for a Outlaw is formed.
@@jamesburns6603 yep. We have the Newer edition from Eagle gryphon games
I'm not really big on cute games but I think I'll be giving this one a shot.
Just noticed that Aaron was cutoff at the start when he was running too long haha
Can’t say I’ve ever used an apple when knitting socks lol
got to keep the knitter fed
Those three "board game" cards, one is Everdell, there's Wingspan also and the third (with little bones, tweezers and dinosaurs) is...?
Fossilis! It's another game from KTBG. Thanks for the note and for watching. -Lincoln
I was slightly hoping that this would be a board game based on the short films by Aardman, but never mind.
Wallace and Grommitt the boardgame - I joke but it probably exists
@@danteshydratshirt2360 There are actually a few Wallace & Gromit games on BGG.
They all look crap, unfortunately.
11:30 Nikki states a hand limit of two. It's three.
Edit: She corrected herself @ 15:30....lol
Game shown is Kickstarter version.
Watching these videos turns out to be very expensive for me 😅
Why is that? 🤔
The way this game is explained it looks sooper complicated.
Mr. Owl
I thought my UA-cam Premium subscription expired but no, there are ads in your videos now 😵💫 Why do I pay for UA-cam Premium then?
Welcome to new era of ads!
Those are not ads by youtube. Its specifically ads by GameNight cut into the videos, because they cooperate with Gamegenic now.
They are built into the video so you can just skip through them, no problem.
