can confirm from buying one new two years ago, they have crappy shifter linkage. Something VW has had issue with for a long time.
VW doesn't care about their manual gearboxes. It's probably why they killed it.

@Stoneymk8 I honestly don't know, I havent dyno'ed it yet. I need too lol but I have a beaten a few scats. I need to get the uni-flex fuel kit so I can run E and not have to swap my maps.
@@Biohazard_Mk8 I’m with you on that flex fuel kit. I don’t plan on putting regular gas any time soon but incase I need too, it would for sure be nice to be able to switch back and forth. I’m still lookin for my first snack pack kill! I’ve lined up with at least 3 and none of them down🫠

Sup man just got my MK8 GTI yesterday in atalntic blue absolutely loving the car, cant wait to be like you and get a stage 1. No e85 where I live so gonna have to settle with a 91 or 93 tune. Its surprisingly fast stock I cant imagine how quick its gonna be once its tuned. Love the content as always have a great day

@@Stoneymk8 You know I had to get that 6MT :) My first manual so she is definetly taking a beating but I'm learning quick. Its fun not shifting out of second and letting the revs get past 4-5k to hear the pops. Absolutely glad I got the manual though I just don't think the car would be as fun with DSG. Anyways thank you so much man and I look forward to more content
@@CS-hf4dq we in the same boat my dude! This is my first Manuel trans and first GTI. The stock shifter isn’t the best but oh man is it fun to actually bang gears. Nothing like controlling the car yourself!
