Wow I literally just got a 2024 GT and am actually thinking of selling for a GTI. I had a GTI years ago and miss how light it was. Crazy it could keep up with a tune
They’re dope cars. Obviously traction will always be an issue, and I’d need a clutch if I wanted to go stage 2 or larger turbo.
Why dont you like your 2024 GT? I test drove a 24' GT with the A10 and thought it was decent.
The MK8 GTI is a completely different experience and definitely the better daily driver. I own a 24 GTI S w/dsg as my daily beater and really like it.
Stock and modded the GT is faster.
I had a 2012 mk6 gti as a first car when I was 21..then got a 2014 mustang gt ..now have a 2023 mk8 gti ..honestly thinking about the s650..but if money wasn't a problem I would have both!

Is this in Lancaster County Pa? I think I recognize some landmarks maybe even my parents’ or neighbor’s farm. (but rural scenes across America often look similar). I have often wished I could be back on Lancaster County rural roads with my GTO in the cool of the evening during summer. awesome.
This is actually Mexico, but it does strike quite a resemblance to Lancaster county 🤔

What tune are you using? I have the APR tune with the added intercooler and intake, and it seems to have changed the way it pulls alot.

Did you do it all at the same time or tune first? Did the intercooler make any difference?
@@noahk9217 I did the tune at the same time as the intercooler and intake, so I don't have a comparison. I'll tell you what though, I had a Unitronic dp, dogbone insert and Unitronic stage 2 low torque tune installed that made a noticeable difference over APR. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED my APR tune! I feel like APR took the safer and more comfortable route. The Uni tune with the dp is going to be louder and more aggressive. I know it probably only added 10 or 20 hp over the APR tune, but it feels like more. I'm also going to add Unitronics flex fuel system soon so I can dip my car in some E85!

How bad is the wheel spin in lower gears?
First obviously spins and 2nd will too for a little. Not too bad though but you wouldn’t want to roll race in 2nd.
what kind of exhaust was that on that black gti?
did you do the updates your self or did you have a shop do it? do you mind sharing some info ? i would love to get this done on my 2022 autobahn
Hey man! That’s the AWE touring catback. Really nice exhaust. I installed it myself and highly recommend it still. Not too loud or droney. These cars sound bad when they’re too loud.

Stage 1 e85 makes around 340-350 whp depending on tuner. Also u have to keep in mind gti is way lighter than a gt mustang so power to weight plays a big factor

So a stage 1 gti makes 380 to the wheels? Gt makes 400whp easy.
So either the gt is a dud and needs driver mod or the gti has more than just a “tune”.

Makes sense now because that gti shouldn’t make more than 365whp at best with current mods.
May I suggest if you "don't know how these Fords work" that you might want to do just a little homework before u beat the snot out of it, especially when new.
