That was the brakeman. I've noticed that if the train is longer than 15 cars, he usually rides the back, so the train can make better time so the engineer dosent have to wait for him to walk up to the lead unit.
Yep, there is a restaurant there in front of the old Monchanin train station in which they were parked behind, they store some M/W equipment there too.
Lexan was discovered accidentally by a chemist working on the development of a wire coating. Wonderful stuff, it makes Cuisinart bowls almost indestructible. The NC P5 was discovered by accident too, the best thing since sliced bread!
Well, most people tend to like the old cast P horns better than the newer ones. Nathan changed the casting foundries in 1977, and didn't use the original AirChime specs, thus giving the newer cast P horns a more harsher sound.
@@chaosdemonwolf1 yeah post videos of trains on your channel for someone to call another person a twitt you got alot of fucking nerve. Why don't you go back to school and get a much better higher education to go out and get a job on the railroad and then call those guys twits and see what they do to you.
I wonder how many car alarms get set off by those trains right next to the parking lot. Also, it would be interesting if they ran lines *through* the parking lot right behind the cars. :)
Ive never seen them park locos in Greenville. The old Octoraro Railroad who used to operate this track used to store old Alcos about 2 miles up the line from this location in Montchanin, De. Ive got another vid on you tube of some old ex/RDG FP7 locos stored in Pocopson PA on this same trackage. Check it out!
That's great. That doesn't mean EVERYONE has to not like it. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. It's that simple. Tell EPRY that it's a bad horn, and they'll tell you "You gonna buy us a new one?!" The railroad makes those decisions. Not you.
Well, graffiti isn't always a crime. For example, I've been wanting to start buying spray paint and sheets of plywood and start doing it in my garage for fun, so, if used in the proper setting, graffiti is an art form.
No no. YOU tend to like older ones. I like the new cast P3s and P5s. So bite me, the horn sounds wonderful, you have no taste. Of course you would want a Leslie, but let's face it. Leslie's and GE's just don't mix. Maybe an RS5T, but that's it.
until you have sat in the cab of a train as I have an had a car pull out in front of you and you can really do nothing other than blow the horn. I would'nt be calling the engineer a fucktard. That is the hardest thing I have ever had to do is sit there and know your going to hit them and all you can do is sometimes not enough. The guy on the last car was the conductor on the train. He most likely walked the train and it was a shorter ride on the rear than the long walk back to the front.
I'm sorry but if someone drove infront of and allowed themselves to be struck and killed by a train I was in control of, I would NOT lose a single wink of sleep over it, hell if you can manage to get hit by a train I say you deserve it. Barring passengers in said car...
@BrodyFarmBoy Probably a hobo.Hope he doesnt get caught. He should have chosen a boxcar. There is an Sundance Channel movie about hobos called "Catching Out"
Amen, Chris!

Thats is just awesome listening to the train coming.

Wow. What an extraordinary video. 5 stars and a favorite from me.
Beautiful horn! Gotta love that Nathan P3.
Lexan was discovered accidentally by a chemist working on the development of a wire coating. Wonderful stuff, it makes Cuisinart bowls almost indestructible. The NC P5 was discovered by accident too, the best thing since sliced bread!
DAMN!!!! that enginer held that horn for almost a full minute!!!
Well, most people tend to like the old cast P horns better than the newer ones. Nathan changed the casting foundries in 1977, and didn't use the original AirChime specs, thus giving the newer cast P horns a more harsher sound.
Man that engineer sure loves the P5 horn on his engine! Man, he was just laying on it!
Wow, that was a long one!

Penn Rail Videos lol
Yeah, that's a pretty busy road and the crossing has no gates!
he did a goodjob warning people, but i would feel sorry for the people living near the tracks and hearing that horn at like 3:00 AM! =)
Did anybody else notice the guy on the last car? What was he doing there?
Actually, that's a really dangerous intersection near where I live.
Actually, it isn't just me. Alot of people hate new cast P horns.
wow, since when is enough is enough!?
Yah I bet so
holy crap the must have been stuck
Yet another New-Cast Nathan P5. Although the NC P5 has a characteristic dischord, many people seem to like it best, and more so than the K5LA.
lol thats fuuny every one should do that but how do you thing th horn feels lol
it sounds like church bells
New Cast P5
Nice to see those ex-SP Dash-7's enjoying new life. UP sure didn't need them.

If I would hear that horn I would stop. Why is it that people still drive around lowerd (lowering) gates???
B23-7 or B30-7
look like old c36-7A's
Good job with the horn. People have gotten killed at these type of crossings.
The, er, handle must be stuck with glue or someting, geeze.
I guess he doesn't know how to let off that handle. Kinda over-did it!

It's disgusting! And not surprising, it's a new cast Nathan P5.
What'so DISGUSTING about it?
