She’s great! I’m coming out of an extremely toxic Domestic Violence marriage. Emotional abuse does beat a person down and has left me feeling like I’m not lovable. I have huge trust issues but I am hopeful that the right person will change how I feel. We all need to be loved. It’s a healing process every moment. I meditate and it does wonders for me. Thank you and love this ❤️

You’re lovable. What helped me was to focus on building the future rather than analyzing or naming the past. Telling myself I was poisoned by toxicity and a victim repeatedly actually made me personally very sick. Not saying that’s true for everyone. Write it all out, expel all the venom, burn the papers and be done with the past forever. 💜 If you haven’t already, check out the work of Byron Katie.

You are lovable. Just one thing stuck to my eye reading your comment. "I am hopeful that the right person will change how I feel." I hope you meant the right person will help you with the trust issues?
Just making sure that you're not relying on another person to change how you feel about yourself :) I made that mistake in the past. You can start loving yourself with a meditation practice. It's an ability we can hone and strengthen daily.

Don't wait for anybody to make you feel anything. You are responsible for finding again what you have lost. It is in you. Look for it 😊

I hear you, I left a toxic emotionally abusive relationship 2 years ago and I'm just beginning to heal. Meditation was the first step on my healing journey. I wish you well getting back to yourself and finding your future joy 🙏❤️

37 years in and one year out. Relationships are tricky, Ram Dass says healing. SS’s relaxed relationship emphasis appreciated

Thanks for sharing again. Right from the start this is so profound and helpful. Even though there’s a lot out there on love Sharon has a unique and wonderful perspective.

Enjoying this.. I actually have the book Loving Kindness at home! I picked it up at a Buddhist Retreat in Scotland and I didn't even realise this was the same woman (who wrote it ) until I saw this podcast.

Meditation is a profound exercise of will because you do come face to face with everything you've been avoiding, and because of the nature of the practice, you have to just fully experience it without fighting back or defending yourself.
The end result is freedom, spaciousness, and compassion. But it's no wonder that the majority of people aren't regular meditators.

As soon as we stop identifying with anything be it mind or anything we will get rid of it🥰❤

I enjoyed this discussion but she lost me at walking through walls. Come on. That is clearly BS.
