- Doberman Pinschers have some strange ways of showing owners their love. So if you've ever wondered if your Doberman loves you, this video will help you figure it out! I'll discuss the various behaviors Dobermans use to show their love, bond, and connection to their owners. This includes things like rolling on their backs with their legs up in the air, putting their toys in your lap, checking in on you frequently while in new environments, and many more. If you don't own a Dobie yet, this video will give you a great insight into what daily life is like with a Doberman, and for you who do own a Doberman, it will help you gauge how strong the bond and love is between you and your dog!
As most Doberman owners know all too well, not every dog product works well for this unique breed. That's why I maintain a list of the best products I've found so far for Dobermans.

Lol "for those of you that dont own a Doberman "...........my sympathies 😆
I want one but I don’t know where to get one 😔
Soon !!!
They are such a great breed! We might be a tad biased, though. ;)
@@samurai8x104 look for a Doberman rescue group.
@@DobermanPlanet They're a wonderful breed.. We used to had a dobby long ago.. She's such a nice girl.. I love d breed a lot..
Not mentioned: when you're stretched out on your back and they stand over you and drop their heavy, spitty, hard rubber ball right into your eye socket
Lol😂
😂😂😂so true
Did you get a black eye? Lol
Their version of a 🎤 drop
This is an all dogs, thing. I have a German shepherd and a husky, both of them do this as well.
Nothing beats a dog which watches your back constantly. ❤
So true! They take care of us like we are one of their own!
OMG. My Dobie did all this. Best story ever was when my Dobie ran down the hill when my baby in her stroller was rolling away. Rio ran and got in front and stopped the stroller!!!
Omg thats awesome! What a good boy
I lost my last girl when she was 14. Not only a heart dog, but my Service dog. One morning I started down the stairs without her and immediately fell. As I was headed down the stairs, she did the only thing she could think of, and jumped right on top of me. Stopped me just a third way down. They are just amazing.
Wow!!
👏Doberman love forever❤️❤️❤️
@@Priscapup Hope my girl makes it that long at least!
My Dobie died last year pretty suddenly. A month from knowing he had cancer. Even to his last day he was scanning the out doors and protecting me. He was my everything. I survived being stalked, taken against my will and raped 12 years ago. The person was caught and convicted, went to prison for only 11 years. I didn't get my Doberman till a year after. He was 2 and rescued from a bad situation. I had to earn his trust, and love. Once I did, he was everything you showed and more in your Videos. We worked hard to train a Dobie who lived in a 4x6 kennel and under weight by 15 lbs. Oh my Gosh. Best dog I ever had. I have been Broken Hearted since. I don't feel safe and the PTSD keeps happening. Now the person who attacked me is out of prison. I look at Rescues and Puppies always, but don't have the funds to buy one yet. But I am trying to save to get another Beautiful Doberman. I miss my Zorro. He was my World.
My Doberman shows me a huge grin and helicopter tail every time when we come back home. 😬😬Looks real weird 😅
Haha! What a personality to look forward to coming home to each day, Shirley!
All of the above lol
I was eating cereal watching this...then splat...fresh slobbery chew tire on my lap
Haha! Too funny - thanks for sharing! You can definitely relate!
ahahahaha that boy is really strong
I never owned a dog, but now I want a Doberman!
Your love for the breed is pouring through the screen, well done!
I’ve had 3 Doberman’s. They are amazing dogs.
If you’ve never gotten a dog before, you TOTALLY should, trust me it’s going to be the best decision you’ve ever made
Over thirty years,I've rescued dobermans, there is something very special all dobermans have,a big heart, sadly they do have heart issues as they grow older.VETMEDIN🎉!!! A WONDER DRUG! This medicine allows your beloved dobie to have more time with you 🤔.❤heart friendly,❤The medicine is cheaper these days,so it won't hurt your wallet! If you ever want to rescue or raise a dobie from a pup to adult... you're in for a wild ride!! Intelligence and a big❤ is a trait that makes it all worth it! I highly recommend you adopt not one but two!! Male and female you'll never regret it 🤔!
My baby passed in August from DCM .And I miss him terribly 😢 but he's 100% described in this video. Without a doubt the most loving breed I've ever owned.
So sorry and I can empathise. It’s one reason my current Doberman will be my last, it hurts too much.
@@shoghunuk7428 so true
How old was she?
@@prxtham2293 seven years old. And was all puppy until he passed. That playfulness never went away.
@Vincent Mitchell - Sorry for your loss Vincent, our dogs become part of the family and it really hurts when they leave us. I just lost my G-shepherd in August too, she was 13 yrs old. I know this is a video about the characteristics of the Doberman but John pretty much described my dog too, she was a very loyal and loving girl. I realize that a considerable amount of time has passed but sometimes when I see flashback photos pop up on my iPhone featuring my shepherd, I either smile or cry depending on my mood, I still miss her. I’m researching Dobie’s right now bc my sister has always wanted one but I needed to know if they are family friendly and by the description in this video, they truly are. It’s not my objective to make that girl cry on her birthday but who doesn’t get emotional over receiving a new puppy! LoL I’m thinking I might like to own a Dobie myself, we’ll see. 😊🌻
My doby passed away last spring from heart disease. Watching these reminds me of him
Oh so painful. I remember when my first one died. Never thought I would get another because the pain was so terrible. We are happily on our second.
Sorry.........My girl died 2 years ago at 4 years old
My males stomach turned over, cut off blood supply to his kidneys and spleen. Had to rush him into emergency surgery. After taking his spleen out and 7k later he lived for 2 more months. I had to do what was best for him and put him down. Seriously the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life. I swore i was done with them. My aunt found me a female and the love affair has begun all over again. Stay strong. He’s watching down on you.
I'm so sorry. I cried for 22 years over my doberman. We got him when I was 4 and died when I was 16, broke my heart so much. As much as I wanted another one, I was scared I would always compair him to Kurt. Finally after 22 years my husband bought my one and I just love him with every inch of my heart. They are so alike in so many ways yet still have their own personality. Amazing family dog with a huge 💓
@@jimusmc7727 I am so sorry. I was 4 when I got my first one and he died when I was 16. It really is like loosing a family member. After the vet came out , told us he had prostate cancer and put him down, I gave him a kiss, told him that I will forever love him. I said to my brother "just get me out of here" we went for a drive and then we had a bad car crash. Boy, what a day !
I lost my 9 year old red Doberman, Nero, 1 week ago. We had to put him to sleep due to DCM and it was at a late stage where he wasn’t responding to any medication. He deteriorated so fast and we lost him within a span of 3 weeks post diagnosis.
I miss him so much because he was such a light in our lives. To all the dog owners out there, please give them a lot of hugs and don’t sweat over the small things. Because when it’s all said and done, the bite marks on your furniture, the small tear and stains on your couch and slobber will not matter once they’re gone and you’d give anything just to have another day with them 😢
Had three dobermans over 20 years. Great dogs.
The head under the arm when you’re trying to type on your computer! I have two Dobers, and all of these is my daily life, and I love it! My boy even opens the doors, so I don’t bother to shut him out of the bathroom. Also, when I come home from being gone he has to greet me with a toy, wagging his whole body. We call it his good boy toy.
That's so sweet, Cathryn! They both sounds like great pups! So glad you can relate to the love mentioned in this video!
Omg..yes. I don't have a Dobie, but I have 3 digs. Two Schnoodles and a big mix breed girl. My one little Schnoodle boy has the oddest routines. As soon as dinner or breakfast time nears, he grabs a squeaky toy and goes to the kitchen and prances around with the toy until I make the meal. Anytime I come home from being out, he is right there to greet me with a squeaky tou in his muzzle! Every time. Now the big dog has learned that and she started doing it too!!! So cute. He will prance around and squeak it up until I acknowledge the toy and try to grab it.
I worked at camp bow wow and every Doberman would always put there face on my legs and lean on me and always looked up at my face and just stair ❤its the cutest thing ever.
My Dobie is the most affectionate dog I’ve ever had or seen ❤️
My American European Dobie that passed was exactly like this but my European Dobie I got at 8 weeks who turned 20 months old 2 days ago, well she's a monster. She's swallowed a stuffed animal whole that after 6k surgery looked like it was brand new. She's always getting dinged up with cuts and bruises and scratches and once a big cut across her chest. And she does all this living inside the house and in our backyard she fell in the pool twice. She has had 2 great trainer's over months and she is stubborn. That said a ball, any and every ball she will play with around the clock. If I'm tired from throwing the ball, she'll run around the yard or inside and play with it by herself. She does love massages, she does put everything in my lap, she does sit with her back to me to let me massage her back and neck and face. Yes, she's loved and spoiled but gee.... help!
That's so great to hear, Nicole! They really are treasures! We are blessed to have them!
@@summerstarr9339 I got my Doberman as a puppy also and I spent as much time as I could. In puppy stage I trained her. She slept with me during the day, on me lol. I worked third shift so I didn’t sleep much. I used tiny chunks of cheese to train her. I’m not an expert, but that works for her. Do not get stuffed animals for a Doberman. I agree with the recommendations that they put on this website for Doberman toys. I have mostly Nylabones for my Doberman.
@@nicolecummings4597 I am in real estate and able to be with my Dobies around the clock. I trained my beloved baby girl pup who lived almost 13 years and an angel was half American and European BUT my All European baby girl I've had from 8 weeks to 20 months old is a monster child and 2 skilled trainers haven't been able to train her to come close to my other girl. I love her but she never sits still always running around destroying things inside and out. I knew nothing about working dogs and this is one. Of course she's better than she was but she loves balls and running ALL the time!
Mine is OBSESSED with me
My dobie is always taking my clothes! lol She carries them around the house wagging her tail. Usually she brings them to me but she really wants to sleep with them. Since she's only ever chewed up one pair of pants when she was a puppy, sometimes I let her have them. But I have to check her crate, the bed and the deck for clothes regularly! lol
What a sweet little thief! "Honey, I can't find my dress for tonight!" "Did you check the dog's crate?" Lol.

Doberman doesn’t have a tail
@@justmoplays_yo well I was gonna say stubblin instead of tail but I didn't want to call attention to her disfigurement.
My dobe does most of those things except following me to the bathroom, because that's where he gets his bath...lolololol
The only time you get peace
Same here, that's the only room our Dobie avoids.
I never have to be alone ever with my Dobies! I don't want any other dog but Dobies! Thankfully I've been blessed with Amazing rescue Dobies
I’m happy to say my 18 month old rescue Dobie exhibits most of these behaviors! He came to me a hyper, fearful and reactive 1 year old. I cracked the code about 3 months ago (lots of exercise, structured home environment, basic e-collar training), and he’s becoming a calm, affectionate, playful and confident companion. As I expose him to more adventures (swimming last weekend, above tree line hiking this weekend, car camping over the 4th), our bond deepens, and he becomes more calm and affectionate. While we are still working on a few problem areas, he now approaches most new people, dogs and situations with inquisitive calm while looking to me for guidance.
e collar training? also whats your training regiment
@alex13605 Mike Ritland and Robert Cabral have great e collar training videos. Was what saves our 6mo dutchie from harming others. He was raised in a weird situation before we got him. He was so mouthy he out holes in my teenage son. Super bestest dog ever now. ❤️
Our too 🎉 I'm so greatful to learn that all these signs are normal and our Dobey loving us. Thank you
I can honestly say that I have experienced every one of the topics you mentioned with each of my 4 Dobes over the years. Two scenarios come to mind from my most recent boy, Enzo, where first, he loved my wife dearly so much so, he would literally eat her pantyhose when she was away (thank god he was always able to pass them naturally) and second, I woke one evening in the middle of the night in a mass of sweat, having a nightmare of a tremendous weight bearing down on me and not being able to move only to find my 110lb Enzo passed out on top of the covers and in between my legs literally causing me to be pinned to the bed! He was a riot and I miss him terribly. Best breed out there in my opinion
the 2nd stry is honestly hilarious. best kind of sleep paralysis demon
Robbie ~ yes indeed. Had 3 Dobermans over the years. It is truly amazing how traits within this breed repeat .. doesn't matter which Doberman
My male used to bring my husband's underwear out to the living room on a daily basis. Guess he liked the scent!
Never thought I’d fall so deeply in love with my brother and sister Dobs. Got them about a year ago.
They really are a great breed, aren't they?! So glad you've been able to experience this type of love and joy!
I don't know what else to say besides Dobermans are the best.
These dogs are gold. They are the ultimate velcro dogs. I introduced my husband to the breed because I grew up with them. He is hooked for life. Our current rescue is the sweetest angel.
When I'm doing yoga my girl lies down next to me taking up half the mat. Usually she's soundly sleeping but sometimes she participates nuzzling, pushing, crawling under and around. She's a sweetie.
My Dobe passed away last October, he was 12.5 yrs old and he one was the best things to ever come into my life. I still miss him so much. Watching your vid reminded me of all the good/goofy times so thanks!
I used to. I will again. I miss them!
I had a Dobie/Beagle mix. He was a giant hound dog. He did all these things, too. He was the most loving, gentle dog I've ever had. RIP, Sid.
I had a set of dobie's - brother & sister - the best - sadly a friend from tucson game up for a visit & brought parvo - took out my big boy but the girl survived, she died of old age, I just haven't had it in me to replace them -
I've had 5 dobermans in my lifetime and each one was just as sweet as the last. I lost my last one 6 months ago when he was just shy of 14 y/o. We always had lots of kids around the house and never had to worry about the dogs misbehaving. None ever showed a hint aggression. I had a hard time watching this video as it reminded me of how much I miss my last boy. He was my best friend.
Reading thru the comments I get that the general consensus is that everyone loves their dog. I "baby sat" one quite a few years ago and it was the most pleasant experience I've ever had. She formed an instant bond with me and I wasn't even her owner. Once they bond they have an unconditional love that never gets old. So, all I can say is "I want one" just for what they are and what they stand for. They're truly amazing dogs.
at first i thought the doberman was scary and just guards but there really loving
Thank you for the refresher.
My first male Dobie would come over after dinner and happily rub his nose side to side across my pant leg with a happy expression on his face. I still feel we has using me as a napkin. My second male after dinner would climb on to me in the recliner and stick his nose in my face and stare for 5 to 10 mins then roll on his back while I watched the news. In all, 7 (2M 5F) dobies over the years and I miss them all even after 20+ years.
I've seen dogs use people's clothes as towels and napkins. Probably that could be pre-empted by providing towels and napkins.
I realize everyone's entitled to their own opinion but come on I'd love to know what those 3 people are thinking. Personally I got goosebumps and my eyes started to well up. I mean what a beautiful dog and what better person than John to be the ambassador and mouth piece for this incredible animal. Another great video John, thank you.
@@antoinettenovella1630 Well, IF YOU SAW that hey are dangerous you need to understand it's not fake news. You sound like one of the Pit bull owners. It's fine with me but you need to know your dog CAN KILL.
Doubt it, she is highly intuitive and intelligent. She has been the most affectionate, supportive and loving dog.
@@jondishmonmusicandstuff2753 I agree but a lot of people forget that any other dog and animal in the world can do the same. Big and small. Anything can kill you. Heck humans can kill!
@@jondishmonmusicandstuff2753 So can I
@@jondishmonmusicandstuff2753 people kill more kids than dogs do, but you never questions having those around im sure.
My 10 month old Doberman just did that exact sock thing and had a blockage 😪 had to have emergency surgery 3 Sunday’s ago. It was a job trying to keep her down for 10 days . Thankful she healed well and is back to normal ❤️🙏🏼
So glad to hear she is okay! That definitely could have had a much worse ending!
My baby girl swallowed her stuffed animal whole and a 6k surgery saved her life. She puts everything in her mouth and gathers rocks in as grabs her balls at the same time. So hard to relax with her cause she never does. 20 months old now and I can't wait for her to grow up alive. Scares me when she's sneaky and too often she is. But gosh, I love her so much!
Socks never get left down ever anymore for me. I lost my baby, a 150 lbs warlock, Goliath, to eating a sock and getting a blockage that cost him his life. It was the same week my mother passed and he stressed and did something he just never did but cost him.
So glad your baby is ok.
I’ve lived, and currently live, with Dobermans my literal whole life. Just no breed like them.
Terrifying
Ours has done the same, she swallowed 3 socks at a time ,twice. Luckily the vet was able to get her to throw up. The second time I wasn’t aware that she swallowed socks again, she probably had them in her gut for 4 days or so before throwing up at home.😣 It’s scary because she is obsessed with swallowing socks, my grandchildren are not allowed to bring their socks 🧦 into the house…I make them take them off in their car before entering our home!
Doberman ...the love of my life...best dog I ever had, will never miss her...
Loving, affectionate faithful, a great companion that always sleeps with one eye open.

Instead, I don’t know how much earlier he got up than I did, but I would open my eyes and he would be looking right at me silently waiting for me to wake up. As soon as my eyes opened he got SO excited. Truly an incredible dog.

These are all spot on. My dobi does all of these things.
Sounds like you two have a special bond, Brett Lynn! So glad you enjoyed this video and could relate to it!
This video made me cry. Reminded me of my dobie named SCHEIDER aka " The Judge". He just turned 5 years old when he passed away 8 months ago. He was the most loving, smart and very loyal dog I've ever had, that makes it hard to move on and get another one. 💔😢
Best Dog we've ever had !
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I grew up learning from the early childhood about how „dangerous“ dobermans are. Your videos show us, that it’s not that simple.
A couple of years ago a stray pup of no distinct breed showed up in my yard and refused to leave. I spent a lot of time with her, especially during the first two years. Today, while watching your video about how a doberman shows his love, I was reminded of her, because she used so many of those „doberman“ ways to show her love.
Thank you for making us love dobermans. You clearly are making this world a better place!
I just love my doberman so much, she is so smart and affectionate yet with her own personality. She does most of the thing you mentioned, especially the bathroom one 😂
So glad to hear you can relate to this video! They definitely are super affectionate dogs to their "person"!
Exactly each and every sign is my Dobermann showing to me as well. These dogs are so adorable 😍🥰
The slobbery toy and body-slam is real deal,pal....and the "Booping" too.
Edit: Hey I forgot before, but my 1 year old Dobie girl has this "pawing" habit...she does that a lot...pawing on my face to wake me up,to sit on me and sometimes for no reason at all...just a paw-hit-BAM!
Haha! So glad you could relate to this video, Sneha! Your Dobie sounds like she loves you very much!
@@DobermanPlanet That's nice to hear.Thanks!
Yes, the paw to get my attention. Time to eat - NOW! One long bruise up and down my leg.
Can’t wait to experience this love!
It's definitely the best, Lauren!
This is the first time I’ve ever heard anything about Dobermans. I didn’t realize it was a WHOLE DIFFERENT type of dog. Didn’t even think there were dogs who were just naturally more “conscious” I guess you could say. So cool, now I want one.
I miss my Doberman ziggy he was 8 when he passed away and we lived each other so much I miss the way he would lay his head on me or lean on me with all his weight and almost knock me over and the way he would not lend my side no matter if we was in the house or outside he was so loving and sweet It's my favorite bread and can't wait to have another one
I can say many of these things are my Diva she does many of these things so did my other Dobermans in the past I've owned Dobermans all my life they are the best guard dogs and very loveable
My half-Dob does all of these. The sighing heavily whenever I do thing is hilarious.
I grew up with a Doberman, he was THE best dog ever!
My Doberman does all of these, she even howls when I play the harmonica!
“Get a Doberman and you’ll never go to the bathroom by yourself” - so true lol. Give up all hope of having any personal space 😂
This is my forever dog, have no interest in any other breed. Love Dobermans so much and got my first at 4 years of age.
Also, I've heard that (from a professional dog trainer on UA-cam) you should not let your dog get in the bathroom with you or get in your way in the kitchen while you cook or worse, follow you everywhere (too often, at least). That might cause separation anxiety, which means that, more often than not, when the dog will be left alone for too long, he's going to get extremely anxious and you might end up coming home to a wrecked house. It's important to set boundaries with your pooch and teach him that it's not the end of the world to have his "alone time." A great tip is to never make a fuss over you leaving, like telling your dog "goodbye, don't worry, I'll be back soon, etc." Leave treats in his bed or something that will allow him to associate his "alone time" with something pleasant, like treats, etc.
I LOVE Dobermans, oh my lord they are my soul dog. They are so dorky, playful, and serious! They're quirky little nuggets and fit with my personality so well. LOVE them!
This video has inspired me to get a Doberman ❤️
nothing truer than a dog's love ❤
I guess my dobrrman loves me. He's always looking me in the eyes, flops down and sleeps right under me, can't go to the bathroom alone, shoves his toy in my lap, sticks his nose in my face and quite a few other things you mentioned. That's my boy. 🥰 He's my buddy.
Valerie, that's so sweet! He sounds like a great life-long friend!
Mannnn... These dogs are true day 1 homies. I have a dobie and he's a real one.
Great video. I'm on my 3rd Doberman and ALL 3 loved to lick my ear when showing a lot of affection.
Just watching your video, with Arlo, just takes me back to all my treasured memories of my darling boy Toby, who I lost on the 27th of December 2018. Lymphoma, aged nearly 11. There isn't an hour that goes by of any day when I don't think of him.
Sorry for your loss man. I just lost my 11 year old Pitbull, who I loved like a son. He's in a better place now.
Yes! Mine is my little shadow! I know she loves me because she copies me and we have a mutual understanding of boundaries and needs. We take turns making decisions on walks (which way to go, when to stop) and she often understands rules because of how close we are. Behaviorism aside, this dog learns from a social learning theory approach.
We are so glad you and your Dobie have such a great rhythm going! It sounds like she is a very smart and understanding girl!
I love the the way you show love to your dog, I miss my dog deeply she passed away last year.
The best dog one can ever have. Watchful and affectionate❤
So much love! Petey loves to come from behind me right between my legs and look up at me. It’s adorable. Only issue is that I’m only 5 ft tall and he can literally lift me off my feet :). I’m the only one he does this to and I consider it an honor!
I have that same issue with my Crowley!
Cute!
Petey sounds like such a sweet boy! You two have a very close connection - that's special!
That is so funny, mine does to!
A true honor for sure!!!💜
Never chose a Doberman myself, but most of the traits you describe are common to the dozen breeds and assorted mixed breeds I have personal history with.
There are exceptions of temperament I have encountered only with dogs with either brain damage, illness, or history of abuse. Generally, there are no "bad dogs" only bad humans.
Keep up the good work. 🐕
100% of these, on the daily. 💜 I love my Dobie so much…
We have a 6 year old red & tan female. She is the most awesome dog we have owned over the years. I recommend this breed to anyone who loves dogs as much as we do.
It's so nice to see your enthusiasm 👍 Best Regards from POLAND 🤗
awww the new baby!! so cute Happy Father's Day to you!
Thanks so much! That really means a lot!
Just got my first Doberman. I Love every minute with him!!
Ahh my Dobie will bring her beloved ball to me constantly. In my lap, in the bed, in the drawer when I’m putting back laundry ❤
Really appreciate all the great Doberman content your channel has become my official guide to training.
That's great to hear! We're glad to be able to come along side you for this journey! Happy to hear you've been getting so much useful information from the channel as well! Awesome!
My parents have a Doberman and because of them living abroad, I only see her a couple of times a year. But when I’m there, see always wants to rough house with me and gets overly excited when I arrive. Just the thought of it makes me one get one myself.
You are absolutely correct sir. After many Dobermans in my life these are all points of trust, love devotion to the owner. They want your attention and handling of affection. Thank you for your show it's very nice to see an individual who is speaking positively and training the public in the skill of owning and understanding Doberman Pinschers. Doberman Pinschers are the closest dog to a human being I have ever had the wonderful experience with for years
The bathroom part has me cracking up 🤣🤣🤣
Im trying to get as much information about the doberman as possible before getting one. I can't wait 😇 love your videos about the beautiful dogs❤️
Me too. So far they seem quite appealing.
When my dobie leans against me when I'm cooking, I'm pretty sure it's because he loves the ground beef I'm cooking, not that he loves me...😂
Once a Doberman owner; always a Doberman owner!
Oh, the body slam is my favourite lol
OMG I am so happy I stumbled upon your videos and website John! I've never owned a Doberman before and here I've been worried about his seemingly excessive eye contact and sensitivity to my every emotion, action, word, move lol and omg you nailed every sack of cement move my Doberman has to show me loves me. I honestly was thinking I was doing something wrong and raising/training an overly dependent whiny dog! He is extremely focused and alert with what is going on around me in the home environment checking out window activity while close to me etc but at the same super relaxed with me. The leaning on the legs, the need to stick like Velcro, his super in-tune awareness and emotional state was really making me think I was failing as pack leader. I am starting to understand the protective nature of these dogs and how their high alertness/awareness is not synonymous with 'tense' or headed to 'hyper`aggressive' lol. I've owned GS before and all I can say is that Dobermans are just wow. Your articles and videos are so appreciated!
My son had a red Doberman, living with us. I would sit in a raised bar type stool in the evening and he would run by jump up and bump my ear. Of course treats would follow, how could they not?
Got my first dobie inspired by your awesome videos! Thanks for all the advice, couldn’t have made all this progress if your videos didn’t exist! Keep them coming brother.
That's so great to hear, David! We are here to help and happy that you've been able to learn so much! Congratulations on your first Dobie!!!
I love the Doberman, best breed ever. 🐾❤️🐾
My Doberman, Wishbone, does all of these things! Never doubted his love, but this is so sweet to see all of his goofy behavior is all stemmed from his heart and soul. He's such a good boy. I want a girl now, too. 😀
Great Video! Sooooo true! Bella is a year old. She does all of the behaviors you mentioned. Her eye contact and constant looking back at me when she is playing or fetching is amazing. Coco is a bit older and was a rescue. Although I got him as an adult Doberman, he engages in most of the behaviors you accurately described.
I'd say this video must be in the top five of all the videos you have done. 🙂
I'd love to be able to give a doberman a home. Grew up with dogs my whole life but never had one. Watching these videos make me want one even more!
Dobermans get an unfair rap. They are so loving and I love how they are protective of their humans
I've had many breeds in my life and all have very similar attributes in showing LOVE!
Treeing Walkers, Beagles, Lab-Rotty mix and pure German Rottweiler!
I don't have a favorite breed cause I've realized all DOG'S are a GIFT FROM GOD❤
DOBERMAN IS ON MY LIST !
THANKS FOR SHARING!
Awesome video with the list of BONDING !

Watching Arlo - my favorite video on UA-cam.
We're so glad you're enjoying these videos! Thanks so much for reaching out - Arlo says hi! :)
My girl Willa was the same way. Her brother doesn’t get nearly as energetic in his response. Love this breed so much!
I don't own a Doberman but I watch all of your videos ❤️👍.
