    To compare Prosecco to champagne, you have to buy Prosecco Millesimato or better still, the Top is the Cartizze, I tell you this because they are originally from Treviso Italy, the prosecco area.🍾

      There are many great Italian sparklers! Trento DOC, Franciacorta, Metodo Classico... Prosecco is the welcome gift for all things Italian bubbly. I like your style describing this wine region. I would like to add an additional quality aspect to Prosecco. Thats the "Spumante". It contains even more natural CO2 and plays definitely in the league of Champaign in regard of mousse.

    • @Winefolly
      @Winefolly  Рік тому +1

      Yes! Metodo Classico versions. I've heard they also use Chardonnay too. Have you tried one with Glera?

    • @Rolerus
      @Rolerus Рік тому

      @@Winefolly Chardonnay only up to 15%. The main grape is always Glera. Actually I dont know if I had containing also Chardonnay. I plan a trip to the prosecco area next and can than probably tell more. Additionally, the Spumante can be done via Charmat or the Metodo classico. The dfference to a Prosecco Frizante is the higher pressure in the bottle. The higher content of CO2. Usually also easily to spot because the bottles for Spumante are made like Champaign bottles to resist the high pressure.
