Agreed, I’m all about respect toward every kind of person, the issue is protecting the sanctity of kids. They don’t need to be thinking about this stuff at their age. Let kids be kids.

Bruh these people are completely insane.
I understood this when I was playing the new spider-man 2. They pushed a side quest with gay relationship in it. If I had kids I would be so pissed they pushed, this crap on my kids.
I’m all for very detailed character creators, but this makes no sense to me. I mean I suppose maybe they explain that the medical profession being advanced enough to do these kind of surgeries is being done by Magic instead of Science or whatever, but isn’t this game supposed to be in a medieval time period, with swords and chainmail and such?
It makes more sense in say a Cyberpunk game where people might get surgeries like that not only for gender reaffirmation but maybe they would for some kind of augmentation like Deus Ex has. I mean if they came up with a pretty good explanation in the story or lore of the game for it, okay. But it sounds like they’re just trying to apply today logic into a setting where it doesn’t make any sense at all.

Previous games would feature slight dialog variations depending on the gender of the main character. But it seems everyone will treat Rook the same regardless of gender.
And if every companion is romanceable by any kind of Rook there's even less replayability now. Play as any gender once and you've seen it all. Is that right?
And am I the only one who thinks this obsession with "seeing yourself" is just weird? I want to be able make a variety of characters that have nothing to do with me to role-play as them in different stories.
What happened to Magic to cover up the damn scars? The only way I will ever give a "transitioning" character in this fantasy setting a pass is if that Man used Black Magic to turn himself into a Woman to infiltrate an enemy, or vice versa!
Just make it fucking make sense!

Scars or no, I assume it will be garbage. Hasn't been a well-written AAA game in over a decade, no reason to think this game from EA will finally flip the trend.
