Great interview. Now I want one. Well, I've wanted one for a while, but I love the idea that Old Delhi takes care of their employees.

Back in the late 80's after I got out of the military I lived in the New Orleans ISKCON temple and I learned how to play Vaishnava songs on a harmonium..

I really didn’t know much about Nic and his store before filming and I was really blown away by his story and the level of success Old Delhi has achieved. Thanks for watching!

I'm going to take a peak at his site..From what I see those harmoniums are works of art. The ones I played on were old and a little beat up, and probably hand- me- downs from devotees..But they sounded great.

I live in N Spain and bought a Kolkata harmonium in 2017 in Amritapuri from Amma's harmonium player. He sold us what I feel is a good one for around 500 bucks. The other day I was asked for advice on buying from someone in Europe so I've sent these links.

Sweet! If you do purchase from Old Delhi Music please let them know you watched my video. I do NOT get anything back in return, but I still think it’s helpful if they know my videos were helpful in deciding where to purchase.

Great interview. Being a world traveler and in the construction field, I have seen how they abuse workers in other countries. I worked in a shipyard in Singapore and saw how they took people from Bangladesh and other countries and basically turned them into indentured servants. We had assistants who worked with us and I felt so bad for the way he was being treated that I along with a few other guys from our company gave him a cash bonus because he was awesome. The way the make these workers sign a contract to work and live in the company owned living areas is shameful. And unfortunately this is just one example of the bad treatment of working people that I've seen. Sad to say but it's ridiculous that this is still going on in this day and age. It's basically modern day slavery.

In the mid 90s I used to play harmonium with guys doing country and folk. Harmonium works really well with many types of music apart from kirtan/bajan

Yeah, I think a lot of people only associate them with Indian music but in reality they are very versatile.

    • @dalejones3361

Very versatile!! They can sound much like accordions in zydeco- both are reed instruments

Sir,,,,are you implying that Indians are treated badly by Indians, not pay taxes etc? Most American companies go to India because they pay Indians cheaper. And you are paying more? I feel offended by your tone. You are making money off us Indians, and Indian instruments and how do you do that? Put down Indians? That is racist. This sounds like a paid for promotion and the interviewer is kissing your ar*e. "SHADY WATERS?" u call us Indians? Shame on you.
