Curlfriends!! Thank you for watching this week's video! Need more Curly Chemistry resources in your life, here it is!! Ebooks, 1:1 coaching, and of course the infamous Hydrating Herbal Hair Tea Rinse! curlychemistry.com/ 💕
Hey CurlyChem can you please share your thoughts on the studies against using oils and butters on our hair at all? It's said that they can feed the bacteria Malassezia. I'd really appreciate hearing your opinion. Thank you.
Clarify once a month, scalp brush when shampooing, scalp massages 3x a week! And ensure adequate water intake daily! Hair is thriving!😊 Thanks for yet another amazing video!❤
Another culprit is applying gel to the scalp for braid parting. I noticed my scalp was getting dry & flaky. I thought I had dandruff but once I stopped applying gel to my scalp, it stopped .
Thank you sharing. I know when I ingested liquid iron, my teeth turned brown, and it took the hygienist over an hour to remove the stains. It may depend on the kind of liquid iron. Just wanted to throw that out. Thank you for sharing.
I also use lavender & hibiscus water to moisturize my hair between shampooing, along with leave in conditioner & Tea tree oil on my scalp before massaging. My edges are growing in...thanks Tonya 💝
My scalp routine includes ACV. Girl and bless u for sharing that with us. It got rid of my dandruff and is essential for me since I only wash once every three weeks. It does what it needs to do.
Dear Curly Chemistry, I think that your content is amazing, thank you. I'm white with wavy, grey, dyed, fine and thinning hair. Your valuable tips have helped me considerably with the bit of hair that I have. I love how you get to the point and your recommendations are science based and often free to implement, scalp massage for example. Lab Muffin, another UA-camr that I follow is also a chemist. She is Asian, but like you, her tips are universal for whatever type of hair one has. The reason that I am mentioning her is that she did a video on the ingredient amodimethethicone in hair products. Since I have purchased some of them my hair has been transformed in the sense that it is smooth and silky, I no longer have knots and I'm hoping that eventually will help reduce breakage and thicken up the look of my hair. Do you have any thoughts on amodimethicone in hair products? Thank you again and your hair is gorgeous!
My family eats a lot of white rice like every night... I know that & other foods turn into sugar naturally when digested. Would that be considered something to stop eating a lot since it turns into sugar? Thank you for the information. I'm doing my best to grow my hair. I do have curly hair so the shrinkage i want to be down to my lower back lol
I love your videos! Thank you for such wonderful content and for sharing your expertise. I don't like to mix and match products or the hunt for products. Please recommend /review the best product lines that cover the basics: shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner. Also I know you are natural and natural is best. But maybe you could please see your way clear to expand, and not to leave out us relaxed ladies in your product recommendations. Especially products for healing, restoring and maintaining a healthy scalp. ❤
Hi. I just found your channel, and i appreciate the knowledge that you give on hair and hair products. I'm a new mom wth a 6 month old baby girl, and i am yet to find a cost-effective (clean) shampoo and conditioner for my baby 4c (curly) hair that is not full of fragrance. Do you know or could you recommend any baby safe shampoo, & conditioner (fragrance free), please. I've been searching for months. I found your youtube channel this morning and I've been watching videos after videos. Thank you.
Tonya, I am trying to free myself from store bought formulas. I started going the Ayurveda route with flaxseed gel pre poo then I diy using an African black soap shampoo with natural oils and glycerine for moisture with mornings and Alma powder and need to further enrich the shampoo. I do an herbal tea rinse for 15 minutes to aid in shedding and strengthening then I use a moisturizing store bought Deep conditioner and leave in. I’m still working on a safe Ayurveda deep conditioner and leave in.i style my hair in twists with a mousse no more wash n goes it dried my hair out and listed length. I would appreciate any feedback back from this routine if I should change something ! Thanks so much 🙏🏽❤️
i think i rather massage my hair with my hands and not one of these hair massager orbject and i know everyone say wee have to change our diet but i'm the only one that disagree with the diet part because i don't wanna change my diet because i want to eat whatever i wanna eat i don't like being told on what i should or shouldn't eat for healtheir hair but that's just me what may work for some may not work for someone else everyone's hair is difference that's just me

Using a straw might be better but you’re right. Liquid iron stained my kids’ teeth too.
Vitron C is a good one
I tried the straw method. Still had stains. To avoid stains, I switched to a capsule.

Yayyy! Go Brenda! 💕
I clarify monthly and try to keep a regular regimen for shampooing my scalp. I'm going to try to incorporate more massage too!

Sulfate, paraben, silicone and cruelty free + vegan. Native shampoo and conditioner works great. Black castor oil is the best. I have traditional locs
If you suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, should you still massage your scalp?
Love your channel. My question how long can you go without a trim? And can you provide info on how to not use hair ties to style your hair.
Keeping up with my wash day and using aloe vera juice
That was very helpful thank you ❤
