Formula E can hella race on real tracks, they just choose not to because they'd make too few laps. They just don't have enough energy for that long a race yet, whereas MotoE bikes don't have this problem ('cuz it's a bike)
It wasn't a big high side. The bike is so damn heavy I don't think it can even flip. My concern as a rider would be getting smashed between two bikes in a crash. At 560lbs, these things are heavy

Just ordered the “street fighter” version of the what goes around the Moto E track, Eva Ribelle in corsa red. Super quick and nimble. Once you’re rollin 5 mph+, the weight melts away. Zero to 120mph before you even realize it as you think you’re still in “first gear” because you never shift and in a flash, you’re already going take me to jail speeds ⚡️💨

After I watch 2 of electric powered motorsport, this one is much more interesting than another. More close battle, more tension, more action. Yeah, close battle is what I am looking for, racers duelling each other to achieve top position.
This is the motorsport at its purest form. All down to rider skills. Much less interference from the bike and the track. No oil patch, much much less moving parts on the bike, much less vibrations
I'm not a fan of electric bikes, but I was interested how it will be with MotoE. And must admit it wasn't bad at all. I really enjoyed the final round in Valencia, especially Race 2 with battle between Granado and Smith. Personally I think MotoE would be better to support WorldSBK than MotoGP if they're using road machine (Energica Ego Corsa) and when WorldSBK is going to have more European rounds. On the other hand, if MotoE is going to be support category for MotoGP, they could go with similar way to Moto2 - the same engine (in this case, Energica) + different chassis (like Kalex, Speed Up, FTR). Another thing is MotoE could have every time double round, not only Misano and Valencia. At least as long as the bikes are not able to do more than 7 laps. I also hope in the future we would see much lightest and faster electric bike which may be at least competitive against Moto2. By the way - while there were at last days some rumours about "ecological" 2-strokes in the future of motorsports, don't expect that MotoE will replace MotoGP. And again - I'm not a fan of electric bikes but I enjoyed MotoE last year.
I don't think it'll be better if moto e support for wsbk, because for advertising, it's better to do it with motogp, because it'll attract more people. Also it'll need some time for them to change the regulations about the spec bikes, they need to attract more riders, teams, and fans. Then after that they can try to change the technical regulations about the bikes, maybe they could have the same chassis, but some manufacturers have to develop their own powertrain, just like formula e

Being a race commentator like him is not a easy thing at all, you have to be fast and you have to comment as many things as you can and so much things happen in a motorcycle race start that you just can't comment everything... Also he's doing a super job, you can't blame him for this little mistake and i'm sure you can't do any better than him

Electric vehicles are several breakthrough battery technology advancements away from being even remotely capable of competing at the level of combustion vehicles - in terms of speed, handling, and duration.
They will but then they would need to engineer a completely new bike. We still use Lithium batteries which are overall weak in holding the charge so they would need to design a bike that has a easily replacable batteries but that would mean less power overall due to different types of connections that are needed to use the replacable battery. Something like a battery pack in scooters that u just take with u and charge em up in home. The difference is that MotoE needs the best performance possible and this doesn't allign with replacable batteries if we want the R&D to be financially managable . The best hope we have is a new type of batteries which hold charge at least 3 times more than Lithium
@@ajove250 Yeah the whole attitude of Formula E is problematic. They tried to appeal to younger audiencies by only racing in big cities and being very social-oriented with things like the fan boost. As if that's what's gonna get new generations into motorsport. It's a bit of a shame because I would've liked to see a fully electric Formula that acted like a normal motorsport category and raced in normal circuits. The inherent simplicity of electric cars could've resulted in seriously great lap times around circuits, albeit for a small number of laps.

I have an Energica and the torque is nuts. The back tire can spin out accelerating on the freeway at 80. It makes a space ship sound , grabs the road again and shoots you forward. Luckily that's on a straight-a-way so no high siding. But yes, it doesn't even hesitate to accelerate at any speed. Only downside is that Energica limits the max speed to 125.
I actually like the short race format because it remains exciting the whole time. But can we please get more rounds and the same commentators as regular MotoGP?? If you want MotoE to seem legitimate at least keep the same commentators!
