    To be a mystic is to be comfortable with uncertainty. A mystic experiences God in a way that moves beyond words. A mystic anticipates guidance that comes through relaxing the thinking process to allow for apprehension of God. Mysticism is fluid.

      Someone who claims to be a mystic isn’t a mystic, he can be under prelest (spiritual delusion)

      Fluid?

      @philsdon8932 2 роки тому +5

      @@abelovedchildofgod7383 Yes, if you read John of the Cross or Teresa of Avila you'll pick it up. They didn't lock down on a belief. The experience moved through them, John in poetry and Teresa in stream of consciousness. Teresa struggled to put her realizations to paper (she was ordered to) because she was experiencing them as she wrote. If you read "The Interior Castle" she meanders. And like John, she retraces things she wrote. Their thinking was not linear, therefore "fluid".

      @@ericli8413 What an odd way of thinking. Teresa of Avila came up against it toward the end of her life. He confessor instructed her not to indulge in her spiritual raptures because he thought they were demonic. Anyway, the fitting response is to pray for me, not to judge.

    Never give up! Ever! No matter how hard to find it to pray, pray! When you experience nothing, God is closest. If you give up today, you’ll give up tomorrow and you will have an even harder time starting again. Never stop!

    • @philsdon8932
      @philsdon8932 2 роки тому +2

      Teresa of Avila called those times when you feel the comfort and presence of God, condolences. She also instructed Christians to love God even when he wasn't giving those condolences. There is so much nonsense in my head, but I would ask God to let me have both, his presence and the nonsense. He says no. In His kindness he insists that I do the hard and often miserable work of recognizing my failures.

      Hey Jim. Appreciated your comment and encouragement. I was praying the Rosary for a couple of years at the direction of our parish Deacon and I found that I was reciting it with a feeling of drudgery, as if 'well, this is what I was told to do, so...' I'm sure many here know the feeling. I was being quite unprofitable to the Lord in this sentiment, indeed. I took a short pause to seek Him out of LOVE for Him (and our Lady), and it ended up enriching the devotion greatly. Now it has gone from 'what I should be doing' to 'what I want to do', which is grow deeper in love with the Lord.
      Granted, stopping prayer out of laziness or distraction... not a great idea. In my case, realizing my lack of love for something benefitted from a pause, and a personal readjustment to that which He calls us to do; Love.

    Friendship with Christ. Sts. Theresa and John of the Cross advised heavily we do not focus so much on the experiences or "mysticism", as they can lead to error in reason and imprudence. The focus is seeking to please God at all times in honoring this friendship. The benefits of this prayer life will abound. The Carmelites embody this.

    I just talk to Jesus and I concentrate on his presence and on my feeling deep inside. Its like I have a door I can always open. I have experienced very amazing things and I even get a lot of miracles. Most my miraculous prayers are answered and come to me around 3PM when I say and pray the devine mercy prayer. Yu have to keep trying than it clicks suddenly. Jesus opens the door on you. In Bible says if you go to him the veil will be lifted. Your heart inside becomes so overwelmed by his presence. It is so beautiful!Some times you cry so hard and it feels very heavy. God wants to show you the deepness deep inside of your heart.

    I have been a mystic, in a participatory way, for near to a decade now and through the eastern practices, both Orthodox and non-Christian, had tremendous results; but as I settle into my faith, form up my theology, and focus on a path for ministry, it has become more mysty with time.

    I lived in a hotel room with family for few weeks, I was bombarded by noises and it wasnt very comfortable. But I concentrated so much than the noises around me did not bother me too much. Just use your inside feelings, not emotions but the heart inside of you. I have a supernatural heart inside of me. I use that heart to call on Jesus.

I read a lot, prayed a lot, confessed, fast, meditate, became humble, gave up on sex!!! I developed very close relationship with god. I saw and heard my guardian angel! I get guidance protections and help from holy spirit a lot. Devin mercy has grown in me! Thank you my lord! I gave up on material world, speak to others about Jesus!

    Pray in the morning - because your mind is still in its alpha-wave state which is conducive to meditation, "programming" the subconscious, and spiritual experiences. As our brains begin to "warm up" they shift into a beta-wave state which is the "go, go, go" monkey chatter brain that's really good at identifying problems (even those that aren't there) and solving complex rational tasks.

    You are in my prayers
    A bit of a friendly challenge to you. I am in process of reading Mother Eugenia’s book “a Father speaks to his children”
    And I am captivated by the book. Not to mention how God the Father articulates how simply,infinitely and tenderly He loves his children
    I ask that whenever we can, we try to refer to God and “God the Father” as he requested his children do .
    A quote from the book
    All of those who call Me by the name of Father even once, will not perish but they Will be sure of their eternal life among the chosen ones

    I know a guaranteed way that anyone can realize their union with God and that is to make union with God your main priority in life and you have to want God more than anything else and with that attitude study the scriptures especially the New Testament as if your life depends on it because it does and go to church and recieve communion regularly but don't get caught up in church politics just focus on your own spiritual journey purifying yourself of any obstacles that stands between you and God and you will fail over and over again and in the middle of the struggle you will have moments when everything stops and you realize that everything that you want in the depths of your heart is identical with what God wants and in that love that you demonstrate in your struggle for God you get caught up in rapture losing any identification with self and in those moments all you are aware of is God, and you become One with Christ and all this is nothing but a sampling a foretaste of heaven to come when you are completely transformed. And you must always keep in mind it really isn't up to us all we can do is to prepare ourself but it is up to God to reveal Himself to us but do not despair the Lord is always pleased to run to us welcoming all who come to Him. Draw close to God and He will draw close to you. That is the One and only way in Christ for as Jesus said, all that say to me Lord Lord shall not enter the kingdom but only those that do the will of the Father. And if we are truly His disciples we will walk as He walked and in doing so we become united and One with the beloved. All to the praise of the Father and our Lord Jesus.
    Amen Amen Amen.

    All do respect to the Lord Jesus. It isn't that we are lowly creation, "that we could not have been" but rather that we are because God exist. In other words God reflecting on himself is silence but we exist to grow and now God and those are an aspect of God reflecting on himself and aware of our own struggles and challenges. The Lord God doesn't need us as we need him. To keep oneself as lowly and unworthy is to be spiritually immune like children dependent on their father when we were always intended to return to a state of grace - that is unification with God in the new age.

    Believe Me, you who are listening to Me as you read these words: if all men who are far from our Catholic Church heard people talking about this Father Who loves them, Who is their Creator and their God, about this Father Who desires to give them eternal life, then many of these men, even the most obstinate ones, would come to this Father of Whom you had spoken to them. If you cannot go to them and talk to them directly, look for other means: thousands of direct and indirect ways. Put them into effect with the true spirit of disciples and with great fervour. I promise you that your efforts will soon be crowned with success by a special grace. Make yourselves apostles of My fatherly goodness and, because of the zeal I will give you all, you will be strong and powerful in your work among souls. I will always be close to you and in you: if there are two of you talking, I will be with you; if there are more, I will be among you; thus you will say what I inspire you to say and I will put your listeners in the right frame of mind to hear you. In this way, men will be conquered by love and saved for all eternity.

      Tarot cards are occult items. They cannot be blessed, and are not compatible with our Catholic faith. Usage of them would syncretism and a violation of the First Commandment, according to many exorcists. Instead, turn to prayer and spending time with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. We as Catholics are truly blessed to have him physically present to us here on earth!
