Very nice, diverse interview of John. It’s disappointing to see him speak so admirably of Woody Allen but I guess in the context of film it’s understandable. Knowing John is so openly political it makes me wonder about his views on the oppression of women. It seems to be off his radar. That said, John is an artist and thoughtful human being. This interview was a special one.
I agree to a point, he is only relating his professional experience with him and not speaking of his dark side. One can appreciate the music of Miles Davis and Stan Kenton regardless of their horrid treatment of women. It's the ensemble that makes the film or music special.
@@lwskiner I think humanity would be better off placing the importance of women and children above our artistic preferences. Woody Allen is a pedophile which by default makes him also a fascist over women. John loathes fascism and so to me this feels inconsistent with his politics which is disappointing. But John is human and a man who’s lived with that privilege so it doesn’t surprise me he views Allen in this way.
Bit naughty of John to say he wrote GPB. Him and Steve Pink rewrote Tom Jankiewicz's original script. The term "special torture" was originally written as stage description by TJ that JC thought too good not to use as dialogue.
Very important interview.

Class 1983 was great . He was in that with Andrew McCarthy and Rob Lowe
Thank you.
My mom didn't like him until he starred in Amazon's Utopia

Less John Cusack, more Joan Cusack
Why not more of both?
@@davidwiley4953 Because Joan's better, duh
@@distantandvague I like Joan and do want to see more of her but I like hi too. So let's have more of both of them.
