My grandmother was a patient there for close to 30 years, we never knew her. She did leave a few times, family took her home, but was returned. She was schizophrenic, she would hold a butcher knife over pawpaw's head while he slept, chased a salesman up the road with a knife, heard voiced in the woods, and thought the neighbors were trying to kill them. We also found out that her mother spent some time there and I found a new cousin, through DNA, and she told me we had an uncle that was put there because he saw his younger brother get killed and he couldn't handle it. He is one of the unmarked, unclaimed markers in the cemetery. Great video guy's!!!
I do live close by, in Morgan County. A few years ago my sister requested our grandmothers medical records. She was told they were destroyed. Several weeks went by and my sister got an envelope from CSH, the lady she talked to went in the basement and found some of the records. They are very interesting to read.
Morgan is Madison, GA and the surrounding area. That is close. I bet they were interesting to read. Those are primary documents that should be kept in a book depository.
I explored the place last week. It actually covers 2000 acres! The guys are laughing and all but so did we... not being disrespectful but the place os very eerie! The cemetary is a sad place.
I’ve been there to the Fredrick Binion build we all use to get mental health evaluations from there wen we acted up in certain camps a lot of deaths and rapes and fighting I did my 10 years and never went back
What a shame that these beautiful buildings aren't being used for some other purpose. They remind me of Western State Psychiatric Hospital in Bolivar, Tennessee. You should check that place out, Tom.
During my exploration of this sight I was told it's full of asbestos & for that reason alone it would be ridiculous to try & "remodel" Beautiful place to visit but you will leave sad for the people housed there during their lives.
Yay a new video! Burt sounds like he could give history tours for a living...👍 It sucks that you weren't able to get into any of these buildings.. It would be cool if me and Burt could do a paranormal investigation in that last haunted building! 👻👻👻👻
Those were unmarked graves the whole grounds is the cemetery they are markers recovered by a restoration team recently we went today visited it down that road is the angel half a click
Amy, I would agree with you the first dozen times I visited this place; however, I live just down the road and drive in and out of there often. I even now work down on the grounds of CSH. I've gotten used to the place, and the sorrow still is very real inside my heart. As an historian, I can appreciate what these people must have endured. Thanks Amy for bringing to my attention that we should always be respectful. Tom
@@DecayUNCUT the flippant immature giggling commentary makes me sick..we survivors view this place the way some people may view a holocaust memorial,,why not play lawn darts with the pins! it's been 3 yrs, i hope you have grown into decent young men..DO-OVER it's springtime and i know you have a cool drone . play some tunes give some info and don't act like 14 yr olds who just discovered the dank stuff. please consider.. oh and if you need me to i can come down with my walker and shake my fist and incoherently rant about millennials antifa and avocados..gotta laugh even when your pissed. if you put out a better video on central..i'll show you some real creepy stuff in Greene co and yes you can bring your parents ,after all i was in an asylum .
Decay is headed your way! There are still protests and rallies which keep happening to stop his state visit which is supposed to be next month I think. What is happening in America?

Are you assuming we don't have empathy? The camera is on only about 20 minutes of the 2 hours we were there. How do you know we were not paying our respects off camera? We are laughing at each other, not at what happen to these people. Burt & Tom
I don't know what in the world that had you two in giggling hysterics. Considering the place and subject matter, this was in extremely poor taste and offensive. I had never watched any of your videos before and certainly couldn't continue with the degree of disrespect you exhibited.

Interesting. Do you live near by? Maybe you could come up and share some of your stories.

I'm on Lake Oconee. We were sent copies of our grandmother's records, I don't know what they did with the original ones.

Convalescence means patients who are likely to get better or improve
The old time architecture.
When I was in HS that was awlways a standing joke "Gonna send you to MIlledgeville"
Yes, back in the 80s, I heard that joke also. Tom
Ok that what the older people meant when they said that I learn something everyday
They spent more money on prison than school back then prison big as hell
You are right.
That sign at the start is pretty scary
I’ve been inside. It’s pretty scary
Morgan Jones how’d you get in?
really enjoy your video thanks
You are most welcome, miss. Tom
So glad to see both of you in a video again, you make a great team. Not only are you educational but very entertaining. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry.... But the laughing/giggling was disturbing considering the pain and suffering that happened in that place.....

What an awesome video! I love exploring to!
I bet you were dying to get into those buildings because I know I was lol. Such beautiful places, even though their history wasn't.
Decay is headed your way! I know, I realised after I sent the post lol
Karen, what is the buzz about President Trump over in England?
Decay is headed your way! There are still protests and rallies which keep happening to stop his state visit which is supposed to be next month I think. What is happening in America?
It's crazy over there. The news should love Trump because he gives them something to report on every single day.
Decay is headed your way! Ha ha you are right. How is he doing over there, have things started calming down now?
Convalescence means basically time spent recovering from an illness. Convalescent places were where patients went to recover
good video, it looks like a place where the walking dead could be filmed
They actually did film a short scene here at the Walker building which you can see in the walking dead intro scenes! -burt
I thought that place looks familiar, just wasn't sure
Okay that's not funny I had family that was there think about what you say
It doesn't matter what anyone says. What matters most is how you see them in your memory. Merry Christmas. Tom
That little balcony was kind of cute and pretty o.o
I live in mileagevill.ga
the word means to rest and get well thus convolesent home
They made a card after that. It says, "Get Well Soon". Tom
the ghosts in white coats are coming to take you away.
Where are they? Tom
Coming from Ohio tomorrow
hey
You guys missed the other two cemeteries. Would be glad to show you where they are at, or draw you a map.
the originals not vampire diaries....
I thought I was the only one to hit that mariah Carey high pitch in my voice when I get tickled over something. Love the videos. Keep it up.

Maybe it was 2500 instead of 25,000? 😊 Love y’all!
Looks like the place is getting worse, Time to sneak in?
Wife get uppity and there is a place to put her to cool off, damn that sounds like a good idea.
Thorazine thrice a day and you will find Plasticine and crayons in the corner.

Sophronia Mason triggered
Ms. Mason, I apologize. I didn't mean to offend you or anyone. Tom
The Night stalker It’s an abandoned building but it has a dark history and many of us have had relatives that died there.
