So I hooked mine up today..front camera image in playback doesn’t look as clean as the rear camera does. All factory settings. Also it won’t download any files to my iPad mini 4. Any help?
Aren’t the front cam videos choppy/jerky in 4K resolution? Have seen the reviews of this cam in UA-cam and found that in every review the front cam videos are choppy. Very impressive cam I wanted to buy but video quality looks like not good 🙁
At £130 I think it is as good as it gets for 4K res. Choppy yes but as a dash cam recording accident I don’t think smooth play back is of high priority ( at least 15 FPS). If recording smooth play back is needed I would invest in a GoPro 7 instead, should be able to get one at that price.
Just installed mine today. Worked fine for my first drive, then the rear camera blacked out and hasn't worked since. FPS seems really low at the 2010P setting, I'm going to try the next lower setting to see if FPS improves. UPDATE: The rear wire became disconnected somehow after hiding the wire. Once reconnected the rear camera works fine too. I did lower the setting to the 1400+ setting which did seem to increase the FPS and it's still a very high quality video and the video no longer skips.
How do you find the image quality between high and low settings? For purpose of road accident I prefer higher res and lower fps since it may be important to be able to see reg plates when zoom in etc. even at 15fps it should be plenty to see series of even unfold in the unfortunate accident event
love this dashcam, however, I'm having issues with locked recording footage in terms of it pixelating and blacking out. Looking for firmware have you had similar issues?
No, this is the normal power up to record and power down to shutdown. It will drain your car battery flat if record continuously for days on ends. Tesla can do that as the battery is bigger than off grid home battery
@@BCreviews I’ve installed one but it’s wired off an ignition powered relay. I wanted to know if I can have some parking monitor option. Would I need to wire to a permanent live? Thanks for the response
Depends no how long you need to record before shut down. So are super low power. I know some people use a power bank and extend the time recording after turning off key etc
I have a friend that just purchased this dashboard camera and she said she cannot use the c charger because it voids the warranty, I understand told her this would be perfectly acceptable. Will I avoid a warranty if I use the phone charger c?
Have you experienced the SD card getting filled because the loop feature doesn't work? I've read reviews that say this is a problem. I want to buy this but would prefer something you can set and forget. Also what can you say about the G-sensor mode? Too sensitive? Not sensitive enough? Does it record only 1 minute videos after a collision detection? Can it record for longer?
Downloaded the app. I hit "please connect DVR" and i get msg "unable to connect DVR". Then in camera, I turn on "wifi". The camera starts recording and locks. I go to the app and I am not able to connect DVR. Now my camera is locked & it is very hard to unlock. Somehow after many tries, I am unable to unlock. The camera does not say I am connected to wifi. I am sitting right next to my wifi when I tried to connect the app. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Can you assist?
Another video from the factory shows the clear plastic square pieces. Take the film off and stick them to your windshield(s) THEN attach the 3 M adhesive mount to the SQUARE PLASTIC PIECE you just mounted. NOT TO THE WINDSHIELD WITHOUT THE CLEAR SHEETS PUT IN PLACE FIRST! I got mine yesterday and browsed the instructions. Am sure that info is in it.
@@SteelJM1 This helps you to determine the exact position you want on the windshield. Once you do that you came remove the Square Plastic piece and attach the 3m VHB directly and easily.
Hi mate, where on the windscreen have you mounted the dash? More to the left of the rear view mirror? Does it make the image on the right side blury? I have installed mine and on the left of the rear view mirror and the image on the right side is so blury you can't read any plates.
Try sticking it out of the window and see if footage is clear, just in case it is the windscreen causing the issue. Can’t remember where I mount it but it won’t be too far off the middle
I have 3 questions for you: 1. Can it be hard wired to the car battery somehow? 2. Is there any add-on component on the market that can make this camera swivel? and 3. do you recommend this camera?
It use USB power which is 5v, there are inline USB voltage adapter if you want to connect it to 12v battery directly. Not sure about swivel mount but I doubt there is one, make shift one yes I do recommend this over other 1080p as it does show clear footage, need to test a few more 4k dash cam to recommend it over other 4k cam
Correction* this one has GPS and you can see the GPS coordinate at the footage time stamp. Thanks @jam for pointing out I mixed up with the most recent cheap same brand camera I tested. There is no gps with this cheap dash cam, the last dash cam I reviewed has gps and rear camera has gps and also 4K resolution but with price tag of £110. Hard to find gps under £60
It is passive with gps, it record your position at the same time with your video. WiFi is for connecting it to your phone or home PC to view the footage etc
I am afraid I don’t know that product, it has all the right specs on paper but until you see the actual footage recorded you never know :) At that price I would try and find a 4K camera or a high bit rate 1080p
I got a power bank and it works like a champ. Also I got the adaptor for the power bank. I only use it after I park and go in to any store. After that plugged back in to my car. Is a little of work but is worth it. If any one need links for what I got form Amazon let me know .
Budget car cam will have to cut cost somewhere, by using cheaper components but still achieve high resolution the frame rate suffers. Usually not so important in car DVR as compare to cinematic movie on screen. In any accident you will still see the story pan out but it won’t be GoPro 4K 60 fps smooth.
Thank You Benson for the Detailed review on this device. It's helpful.
you're awesome and easy to understand. thank you for the video!
Amazing video. I also got one and its just amazing. I also read your review on Amazon. Great work👌🏻🔥
Im just here for support. Just to help you grow. Good luck my brother. And may God bless you with many views. 😉
Thanks a million

Hay configuración para que no salga la marca de agua?
Just bought one hope to use it soon.. thanks for the information
I installed the camera, it works fine..But when I plug-in the rear camera it shuts off the camera then turns it on every second..!!!! ANY HELP..!!!
Sounds like a electrical issue, faulty unit?
Great job 👏 👍
great video...can you tell me how I can lock a video lets say it captuired and accident is there something i need to press on the dashcam???

For smooth video, check out the Viofo A119 V3
@@bLacksheep988 Thank you. Ya, I went with Viofo A129 Duo Plus only.

@@BCreviews The lower setting seems better to me just because of the improved frame rate. I can read license plates, road signs and businesses easily.
I cannot connect to DVR and need help please!

Used to work, now it won't even stay powered on, I hear a click and it turns off and then on continually.
Sounds like a faulty product rather than user settings. Send it back if you have warranty.
Hi does it record when the car is off if there is someone tampering or something or someone hits the car?

Does it record audio also?
All the audio recorded during the road test is from the dash cam mic 👍

A lot with the front camera and nothing with the back..
The frame rate looked awful... not impressed !
