@@boomshine7Morientes struggled to deliver when it mattered most. His inability to consistently score crucial goals in big matches made madrid fans frustrated 😂. Also his adaptability to different playing styles was questionable, as he seemed out of sync with his teammates. But he had his early success at Real, but still failed to reach the heights expected of a player with his potential, making him a disappointment
Both Raul and Morientes had amazing positioning, composure and finishing, but Morientes was beast in the air. His revenge game against Real Madrid when he played for Monaco was so sweet.
You may not believe me. But when Brazilian Ronaldo came to Real,I quitted supporting them since Morientes was unfairly treated. And when Morientes scored twice for Monaco against Real and Real were eliminated,I became so happy.
El Moro. I don't think anyone has scored more goals with his head as Fernando Morintes, and I don't think anyone is better aerially as him, maybe Ivan Zamorano but no. A legend. Very underrated
Ronaldo is no much for Morientes in champions league. Ronaldo was so poor on european big nights. So poor, only showed up in 03 against Utd. Morientes has 3 champions league medals…playing for inferior Madrid than galacticos of Ronaldo.
In these days everybody is discussing about the tremendous dominance of Real Madrid in Champions League: some cyncally talk about Carlo Ancelotti fortune, or the referees mistakes here and there, some talk about some kind of mystic, as the players were blessed by some kind of magic power, but watching again these goals scored in a period where Madrid was dominating europe as well as nowadays it seems that they introjected better than anyone the simplicity of the game. Every player is simply extremely educated in the tecnique principles and they accept every aspect of the game including casuality and yes, of course, fortune. Doing this the team is always aware of the psycological aspect of the game. And that is very very relevant. They can occasionally find someone (like Manchester City in 2023) who expresses 100% of a new or sophisticated tattic, but in the long run they will always emerge renewed in the wake of this consolidated legacy. That's why Ancelotti (but also Zidane) is the best coach they can ever have.
One of the most underrated striker of all time together with Bebe Signori, if only the refs didnt screw him during the 2002 WC and 2003 Championa League final, would have been remembered as one of the greats
Tengo una pregunta para los aficionados del Real Madrid, me parece que Vicente Del Bosque a menudo prefería a Guti antes que a él, ¿no le gustaba el estilo de juego de Morientes o mi impresión es errónea?
Hes better than Raul. Hes Spain best striker at that time. Too bad Madrid dumped him. But he got the revenge with Monaco. One thing why i always like the guy is that he always won aerial duel thats rare gift today ❤️❤️
Unfortunately,he was unfairly treated in Real. If Real had not bought Brazilian Ronaldo,Moro could shine more. But that was enjoyable when he dumped out Real when playing ON LOAN FROM REAL in Monaco.

So gutted he didn’t win that final. A really nice person.
It was very unexpected too. Deschamps really knew how to get the best of Rothen to feed those passes to Morientes.
One of my favourite forwards 🔥🔥🔥 thanks
Raul + Morientes = super show 🎉
