i started warthunder on tanks with my buddy and watched alot of oddbawz, and when defyn came in on a collab i checked his channel and have just been here since and have been converted to air rb as my go to
Such a humble person. Pretended that the clapping sound was not from his massive as cheeks and pinned it on the so called "thunder-storm". Such a kind person
Making the distinction between flying x plane and flying *any* plane makes a lot of sense. Good way of highlighting basic skills over specific knowledge.
I went from AB to ground SB because i wanted something more challenging, while RB was just insanely difficult with everyone's skill level around me. Thanks to your videos i learned a lot, and now actually enjoy RB, and even reached the first jet!
I believe one of the most important things for learning to fly aircraft is learning the enemys strengths and weaknesses. It takes a bit of time and practice, but once you actually know how to fight others, it becomes much more enjoyable and easier to win dogfights. Good vid, as always!
You're one of, the best(and last) Warthunder air content creators out there Defyn, you're videos have helped me and many others "git gud" at air combat in the best ways possible. You give honest reviews and coverage of the vehicles you play and how to use them effectively to their strengths rather than focusing on their weaknesses too much. And on a side note your video covering the recent air br changes was great, I'm glad someone is still saying something about Gaijins terrible treatment of Air, too many treat it as an "oh well, atleast the few vehicles I like are fun for a few months", while the rest get thrashed.
DEFYN, thank you for making these videos. I used to be a terrible player but these videos have been super informative and helped me learn best practices for dogfighting. Here's to 1 million subs in the near future!
@@aydi2042 dunno anything about controller mate. I would just recommend watching Defyn's videos, as well as Seek and Joob. They are all good resources. If you give me your gamertag I could try to help you in game
This thing and it's later variant are scary as hell when you somehow find yourself infront of it (especially the later one) added with the fact you can't necessarily catch the bastard in a straight line unless you make a mistake, it makes for a real funny bnz aircraft
I'm just starting my adventure with War Thunder, and I'm grateful to have found your channel because you have a lot of experience in this game and can share knowledge and demonstrate the skills of proper piloting. I'm looking forward to more great content like this.
thank you man. i've went from an NPC bomber main to a fighter main that actually gets kills. not only did that make me get better rewards, but it just made the game a lot more fun for me. thanks defyn
I use planes strictly in ground RB. I would usually not bring out a plane if the enemy had any up as I SUCKED in dogfighting. I started following DEFYN a few months ago. I can proudly say I have had a couple of games recently with 5-6 aircraft kills and now can perform anti CAS. Knowing how to fly each plane is immensely helpful.
I took a decent break from War thunder where top tier used to be the days of MIG-15Bis vs F86-F2 where everyone would stay at the deck untill we all hit 1000km/h and shot up straight to the moon where dogfights where won on skill and big brain plays. when the overpowered thing was the hunter that we all loathed for being faster than us and then after that the MIG17 which we all considered astronomically game breaking Coming back to war thunder top tier now seemed like it just came down to who has more missles or flares on periodic countermeasures you helped me learn BVR combat, how to use different radars and settings and most importantly how to defeat phoenixes and other radar guided missles, I thought getting 3.0KD in my mig21 I'd be all set for the toppest of top tier, then I unlocked the mig29 and the stock grind was incredibly difficult and with me getting slapped out of the sky by a no warning phoenix was definitely an experience Thanks for your videos
I started watching your vids to play aircraft with my friends, took forever to get decent, now I yearn to be good at tanks... and the pain is so much worse. Great content chief
Been watching you for almost 2 years now even though I stopped playing the game about a year ago. Just love your content and will continue to support your vids!
Defyn, I love your content and it's been a great motivator to hear your smarmy Dutch accented voice in the background while I go through my evening routine most days. As a second generation German-American, you've got my support, you sarcastic swamp German... Err, I mean, Dutchman! :D
I love your Videos Defyn!, Your amazing jokes and Phrases are what lights up my day! Ever since i have watched your videos, you have given me the inspiration to play this game
Hey man, your the person that got me into War Thunder, now I'm about to get my first Tier 6 Jet and I've been with you all the way, At least from me, I just want to say thank you.
Without DEFYN I would have never stuck with war thunder as long as I have. Air battles seemed impossible to master, which only seemed more evident as I traveled up the ranks. It is because of DEFYN that I was able to not only learn the ropes, but consistently compete for top spot in many of my matches. Thanks to him for all the content and experience he has shared with us and all the content yet to come.
I cna only agree with the importance of learning what your plane is capable of. I still remember how, when I started out with air rb, I was always passive as all hell and would end up being chased down by a faster plane. It was mostly out of frustration that I went super agressive and it got me way more kills but even more knowledge of what the particular plane i was flying could do compared to other planes. From there I got gud (somewhat)
You're hands down the best CC on UA-cam. Your videos helped me a lot with some of my planes i had no clue how to use properly, now i'm over 4k/d on most of my often played machines. Thank you.
It's actually quite impossible to win. So I'll use this chance to thank you for all the knowledge you have taught me. I literally hated Air Battles before I met your channel and now i think i have become a pretty decent air rb player, so again thank you, master. Been watching your vids since you had like 40k, so it's also great to see how have you grown, absolutely deserved it.
You got me back in the game after many years. I left the game back in the mig17-sabre f2 top tier years. It was a struggle getting back to missile era, but your videos where very helpful. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
For a long time I only played fighters in Ground RB as Anticas, but the more and more I watched your videos, the more I was able to at least do something in Air RB. I’m still not really good, but I’m getting there… Thank you for your content Defyn, we appreciate it very much! :)
I have been watching your videos consistently since 2020 and I've always been amazed by how far your cool-headed, pragmatic playstyle gets you. Many people, myself included, have learned so much from your videos so keep up the great work!
Defyn, thanks for all these videos!!! Don‘t comment usually, but your videos helped me get good at ARB as a new player and navigate the dephts of war thunder tech trees. Here to thank you and also to enter the giveaway 😄

I have now over 3500 hours in this godforsaken game, but I can gladly say that because of your videos that I've managed to (mostly) enjoy the time I've spent in Air RB. After spending a few hundred hours honing my aim in arcade, I found your channel just as I was transitioning into playing realistic to grind more easily. The witty humour is just the cherry on top, and I've always looked forward to new videos - even when I'd taken months long breaks from playing in the past. Still waiting on the bike video tho :P
I'll take the opportunity to thank you for shortening my learning curve in Air RB. I'm in grad school and only picked up the game last winter (as you can tell I love suffering), but your vids are always very helpful. Just got my first supersonic jet with missiles and it's pain!
