I completely agree with adopt or shop responsibly. I just got accepted into vet school starting August this year and have enjoyed seeing your journey so far! I’m wanting to get a dog as well but was torn between getting one before vs. during vet school. I’m more comfortable with waiting for a bit now that I see your thought process! He is litterly very cute...I am in Loss in all the life..I lost many things in life deeds ...even I woke up 5:30 in the morning 1st Feb 2022...and lost my father...he slept well on 31st Jan...and next morning he was dead..I litterly dont know what the heck is going on in my life but this cute angel brought a little smile on my face.
My family just got a German Shepherd puppy close to the same timeline (her litter was born 11/22). Sadly I just started school again before they got her, so I'm missing out on most of it! I am jealous!

Do some research to see which university/program will set you up well for vet school! I personally did my undergrad in Animal Biology and really enjoyed it! Also, if you have time, high school is a great opportunity to get some experience working or volunteering in the veterinary field! I’m really lucky and my classes are mostly online right now so the longest I have to leave him is a couple hours when I have labs!
