- The Logitech MX Keys and MX Master 3 are the classic productive desk setup combination, but they do come at a price. So are they worth the price, or is does it make sense to go with a budget option? Logitech also offers the K780 keyboard and MX Master mouse, which offer similar features to their premium counterparts.
In this video we'll break all 4 options down, giving them a review, explaining how they differ and whether the MX Keys are worth it, if the K780 is worth it, if the MX Master 3 is worth it, and if the MX Master is worth it. It'll be the K780 vs MX Keys, and the MX Master vs MX Master 3.

Personally I had the MX Keys, then sold it. I now have the K780 with MX3 mouse. Not sure why, I prefer the K780 over the keys; the feel of the buttons, the holder for phone / tablet and the smaller size. I didn't find anything better with the MX keys other than the backlighting. Both great keyboards. And the K780 does have pg up and pg down, you just need to hold shift. I use them all the time :)

Most likely because it gives you an extra space to hold your phone or gadgets, and it is narrower since it is not 108 key.

Finally some video about this subject. I was looking to upgrade from a K780 but in the end, I don't think that will worth the effort. It's important to say that the Seamless Change, using the Flow functionality, it's not available for K780 - so, that could be a game changer if you want to use MAC and WINDOWS simultaneously.
Regarding the MX Master 3, I came from Mx Anywhere 2 and changed due to wrist pain after using long hours, decided to switch to a 45 degrees angle mouse. The final conclusion it's that worth the upgrade - Its an Amazing Mouse - Very precise and specially comfortable - my wrist pain is gone due to the using position.

@@TheMasterBrothers hum, that’s interesting - I was not able to make it work in my setup, besides the documentation says that’s compatible. The menu “flow” is not accessible on keyboard either, only in the mouse - maybe there’s some issue to fix here, let me check that and I’ll return.
The seamless switch worked very well for mouse (from Bluetooth on MacOs to dongle Windows), but was not switching the keyboard. Thanks again for this info!
@@regisateparece There's an option in Logitech Options. Need to go to your mouse, and there's an option (left side) on which keyboard will it partner with. As long as both keyboard and mouse is recognized by the Options software.
@@mistermastermind528 In the end, I was so frustrated using windows that I step out completely from the system. Now, I just have an instance on a virtual machine, and I’m not using anymore side by side. I’ll check your info and see if something changes there. Will Logitech flow work on MX3 and k780?
no one ever tells people that mx mice have very low poling rate, and is really off putting delay when moving mouse in everything, sold mine instantly and went back to g603

I hate the MX Keys because the legends on the keycaps wear out and it's not easy to get replacement keycaps. Or does someone know where they are found cheaply?
I have the MX Keys and MX Master. I left the MX Keys for a Mechanical keyboard.

Problem with mxkeys is the sizes available. Only comes in full size huge, or overly compact and lacking text nav keys.
MX key is worth it. You just need to touch it to know.

After I started using MX Keys at work I bought one for myself to use at home, it's simply the best allround keyboard I have used. For gaming is ok, but would not recommend it if you are mostly playing games just because it looks good. The MX Master I only use for work. In my opinion, it is way to heavy for gaming, you can not change your grip and it tracks bad at for fast movements, because its a laser sensor, not optical.
Good summary! We don’t game much but can imagine there are better combos for gaming. These are really good for work though!
Play game with mx key, not rekon, i still have my mech keeb around. Anytime to play game i will switch. Typing/working then mx key.

You should’ve compared it with M720 than an MX. To be honest MX Keys is longer than 780 without any additional benefit plus you can put your tablet on the 780. The M720 is also smaller and does everything MX Master can do if you customize it.

I've had my MX Master for a number of years now and love it... But it's not without fault, infact, I find that the under thumb button over time gets stuck resulting in the entire mouse becoming unusable 😢
The fix is relatively simple by leveraging some internals (first removing the underside pads and undoing the screws) but regardless it's an inconvenience and I almost bought a new mouse when it first happened 6 months into usage.

A keyboard with no backlighting is absolute shit, no matter what other features there are.
So, the MX keys is less shit than the Magic Keyboard, as anything else is. But no keyboard that has no backlighting should be mentioned in a phrase without the word "shit".

It's even more shitty when you live in a country like India that is known for cheap prices but I will be paying 2x (200USD) for these keyboards as there is alternative
