We love the stockinettes!!!
LisaR: You are owning that shade of green ! Both - you & the garment are glowing . Love the black & white half& half also . There's something about the combination that never gets
old :) The baby knits are precious .. Great to know about Wet coast wools - Thanks !
thank you so much!
For a video idea, I would love to see a round up of spring and summer top patterns you like. I live in Arizona and it gets HOT but I still want to wear hand knits (in air conditioning!)
The baby shorts/pettis are so darling! They remind me of patterns for little ones in the 1930-40s, and are so dear. What a special gift and keepsake.
your makeup looks gorgeous!! always love seein what you’re up to!! also i really really hope you feel better mentally!!
Your makeup looks great today. Especially the lip color. I love it 😍
The baby short is absolutely beautiful 🧶💗
Hi Anna! 🙂👋🏽 really enjoyed your show today 👏🏼… snowy day here in the northeast of the U.S. and I so respect that you knit just one or a few things at a time… perhaps that can be my focus ahead;to finish some of my wips 🤔🤔 although those little overalls have my hands itching and they would not take long! 😳🫣😃😂👏🏼🥰🧶
Anna, your moon set pullover is beautiful. The color is outstanding. So amazing with your eyes! ( Also like the fit on you). At some point could you cover how you over-dye? I would love to know the process, what kind of dye you use and how you determine what color you will most likely come out with. Also, besides freezing are there any other precautions to take when purchasing thrift yarn? You mentioned the possibility of moths. Are you concerned with getting eggs on your swift for instance as you unwind the cone into a hank for washing? Thank you so much. I always look forward to your episode releases!
thank you! I'd be happy to - I actually have some yarn I've been meaning to dye so this gives me a good push to do it. I'm not as concerned about my swift, put I could always wipe it down after using it with suspicious yarn. I store everything in plastic bags or drawers, and i use lavender essential oil in the drawers to ward off pests.
Anna, Enjoy you so much. Your sweater looks great and it's so nice to see you wear your item's . Question: Mohair , want to knit a hat with another yarn with it. What is your favorite and one you can find . Only knit with one Mohair and it was so itchy. Thanks
I'm not an expert with mohair, I've only really used drops. However, Sophie from the Knit Purl Girl has a great mohair video reviewing all different kinds and talk about her favorites. ua-cam.com/video/Rlfz4NQATHc/v-deo.html
Dear Anna, there is an easier method to measure the yardage of your ball if you have a kitchen scale. You could put some yarn onto the scale until it weighs roughly 10gr. Then measure that yarn with a measure tape to find how long this 10gr is. Finally, multiply that length number with the total yarn weight and divide into your beginning weight (10gr).
Oh one more thing, you look so beautiful and calm 🤗
that's definitely a good way to do it! thank you ❤
❤
I always say that socks are like eyebrows, they’re sisters not twins ❤😂
I love this!
You look really gorgeous in this colors and makeup 😻. This shade of green is radiant
Thank you so much!!
Love the green of your Moon Sweater! 💚 Congrats, it's a beautiful piece.
Wow! I just learned so much from you. Like you, I also buy yarns from charity shops when the opportunity is there. But I never thought of washing it beforehand. What a great way of handling old found yarn. I do get a bit grossed out sometimes knitting and handling it. I usually only wash it when my objects are ready for blocking. Thank you so much for this wonderful eye opener 🧶🧶🧶🧶💕💕💕💕🧦🧦🧦
I'm sitting here knitting on the Novice Cardigan watching your podcast. Great podcast, you keep it moving and you are very interesting. I love that green sweater you're wearing. It looks fantastic on you and suits your coloring perfectly. I love the triangle wrap in Black & Cream/White - absolutely gorgeous!!! I have the yarn to make one in Linen Quill my colors are Rhubarb Pink & Pale Oats, I can't wait to get started, but I have 6 WIPs going at the moment, so I'm trying to finish some things. I just finished the Sophie Shawl yesterday... YEA!!! It's gorgeous. I'm also knitting for a child, a little yellow dress size 2T almost done & I need to just get it done. What did you get your masters in, it sounds like you have a great job if it enables you to travel internationally. I'm over halfway done with my masters in Data Science. Homework is really getting in the way of my knitting. Have a great week, just know that with podcasts as good as yours, the longer the better.
You look so pretty in green.
Oh my goodness, I love your color palette!! The baby FOs are really so darn cute, and I also love your half + half wrap 🖤🤍
thank you!
The Lilac and green will be beautiful projects. You have to learn to love yourself. You have such a great talent, so compliment yourself and brag about your accomplishments....keep well 😊
thank you xx
Love that you shop sustainably at thrift shops. I’m often in Seattle. What are your favorite thrifts shops for finding second hand yarn? 😊
my favorite place to look for yarn is at Seattle Recreative! Other than that, I always check out the craft sections of goodwill, they sometimes have great stuff.
just a warning: supersoft doesnt have a lot of elasticity and it tends to shrink in length. I wouldnt choose it for something that needs memory like a hat. maybe it will be ok with the other yarn on the inside?
Good to know, thank you! luckily other people have used it for hats so I feel okay about it.
Beautiful! The dark green looks so pretty on you. Is this yarn available here in the US?
I don't think so -- it's a vintage yarn I bought second hand.
Ha! I've been watching you since your first--purse--video...which inspired me to start collecting a vintage Dooney collection for my granddaughter. So...imagine my confusion when you said you don't like to carry a purse. For myself...I l-i-k-e purses...but also rarely carry one.
I love purses but I don't always like to carry one! Hahaha it's confusing but if I don't have a purse in my hands they are more free for knitting 🙂
@@apt.atelier I totally get it!!!
I really like your purple/lilac socks and the pattern is so nice, I might cast on something like that in red and pink or in shades of blue!
Happy to see you in the same test knitting group :)
Happy knitting!
Hi Anna
Just found you today and enjoyed your podcast so much and your knitting is beautiful… can’t wait for your next one … stay positive and take care … see you soon !!!!💝
Thanks for another inspiring episode. I loved your method for measuring yarn around your swift. I will definitely put that to good use!
Hi Anna, I love your channel. I'm excited to see you're trying holst supersoft. I love that yarn though it does have some unique properties. Would highly recommend swatching and measuring your swatch before and after washing as the yarn changes dramatically. There's a video over on the Crimson Stitchery channel that talks about the properties of holst supersoft.
thanks for the heads up!
love your projects. I am the same foot size as you are, and I also like the way that heel flap and gusset socks are on my feet but I don't like knitting it.I figured out if I do a mini gusset ( increase 4-6 sts and decrease afterwards every second row) and short row heel, it fits the same for me. Happy knitting.
That's a great tip, thank you!
I know you’ve decided on your mohair project but I will put in a plug for the cumulus blouse. My recent one turned out great and I think it’s going to be a wardrobe staple.
That seemed to be a fan favorite! I just don't need another fuzzy green v neck in my wardrobe right now.
Your moon set pull over is beautiful! We are in a crazy cold season down in PDX as well. Doesn't do wonders for the winter blues. Hopefully some fun spring cast ons will cheer you up!
Thank you! You too!
Sending you love ❤ rough patches can be so difficult but thankfully they always pass. Thank you for another wonderful monthly round up!
