I know I can’t bear it. I just saw somebody that I follow do it and I never saw her dump so much foundation on her face that’s horrendous to me way too much.
It would be fun to have a tutorial about different ways to apply foundation and the types of effects that you get using each method. I know some foundations work better with a brush and some work better with a sponge. I have a few that truly do well when applied with my fingertips. It's always kind of been a mystery to me. Always have to do trial and error. Would be fun to see the differences when applied different ways.
Thank you for reminding me in a previous video that I can line my eyes with shadow. I've always used pencil. The shadow liner looks much better on my 59 y.o. eyes. Took a little practice, but a much better result.
I’ve been doing the same recently for day looks with the dark brown eye shadow liner - I like the slightly softer look, especially now that I’m getting older! As a side note - I picked up a Laura Mercier Plush Pink lip liner today at Sephora and I really love the texture and look! Adding it to my tried and true CT Pillow Talk lipstick or my Buxom Full On lip polish. Loving it! Thank you for your tips, Risa!
I know I am much older than you, but I really look forward to and never miss your makeup videos because you are the best to recommend products for those of us are oily!
You are so amazing and I always look so forward to your tutorials….you have helped an older lady look forward to my make up routine again! At 73 I had gotten lazy! You are an angel❤
TYSM for mentioning fragrance in products. I have extremely sensitive skin (rosacea) and am prone to migraines 🤕 I don't know why LM would add fragrance to their lippies when their blushes and caviar sticks don't have it? Thank goodness! Love your top and earrings - gorgeous 😍
So many new releases all the time sends me clicking your videos Risa! Thanks for your insight and knowledge that helps me weed out the gimmicky and not so great releases.❤❤
The Easy Blur Foundation is amazing!!! so easy to work with and long lasting. I had no issues with color matching, unlike with the new One Size which I simply could not try because a match does not exist. I wear Latte in the Huda and it is a true neutral
I live in the Bay Area and Valley Fair Mall has a Macys that carries Carolina Herrera. I bought the bronzer and it is SOOO beautiful and blurring. Tip: if you buy it online, buy one shade darker than you think you need. They are much lighter in person than online. Medium Deep may be almost too light for medium skin tones so I had to buy Medium Deep and Deep and I mix them. The formula is incredible so if you are going to splurge, this is the product to splurge on.
I prefer squeeze tubes for a lot of products. Body lotions especially! Agree with you on squirting stuff directly on your face. I can barely watch people do it. 😝
Could you please do a video on Makeup storage based on steps of usage so that it’s practical. This will really help folks will less storage but lot of makeup and they want to see everything they have. Travel storage and daily at home storage. PLEASE PLEASE

Ps I know you’ve done skincare videos but could you do another one maybe? I’m 51, oily skin large pores and I’m trying literally everything. Thanks Risa!
They look similar, but they’re formulated very differently. Ravie’s are talc free and made of 98% natural origin ingredients. I also find them to be more diffusing to the texture on my cheeks.
Thanks for your honesty!! I have a few people ai watch for their candid content and you are ine of them. I am 58 and also appreciate your reference to mature skin often
Thank you for demo'ing the Oasis shade of the new Ravie Beauty blushes. That's the one I bought. Everyone else seems to be showing the more neutral blushes, which are also lovely, but I was drawn to this one, Risa. It looks so beautiful on you!!! 🥰
I just received the paradise blush and I really do like it. I think I will probably get at least 1 other shade. It blends so well and as you said she is a sweetheart. Thank you for all of your reviews and always telling us the truth.
Oh no!!!! I just filled my cart with some goodies from Ravie but doesn’t look like they ship to Canada……I’m so sad 😢 I just assumed they would because I’ve purchased her makeup bags in past. Oh man…..what a bummer. Hopefully they will in future because they look so beautiful 🙏♥️( the lipsticks and the blushes) Xo 🇨🇦
I have the Huda easy blur and so far I like it. I'm going to try it with the Caliray So Blown Blurring and Hydrating primer because Nikki la rose says it's the most mattifying blurring primer out there. I love Allie's blushes! I have daydream right now just trying them out. I'm still looking for the perfect powder because everything makes my under eye look dry. I think nyx, E.l.f, and Maybelline have the best brow products on the market.
Risa, thank you, thank you for pointing out the fragrance, and level of fragrance, in the LM lipsticks. I CAN'T STAND fragrance in ANY makeup, skincare, or haircare. If I want fragrance, I'll put on the ONE I choose for that day.
I don't know if you ever answer questions here in the comments. But a big problem I have is using sunscreen under makeup. It seems when you or others talk about getting makeup to look smooth or blurring or to last all day, there isn't mention of how to get these same effects while using sunscreen. I can't stand using sunscreen under my foundation because so many of them seem greasy and my skin is oily. And if you do use sunscreen, do you use primer after?
I personally use a primer with sunscreen(Charlotte Tilbury makes a great one, as does Milani)if I’m going to be out during the day, or a setting spray with sunscreen. I don’t use sunscreen when I do my makeup for any night-time event.
The Laura Mercier lipsticks are absolutely stunning. I love the one I bought, but I agree. The smell is too floral. Just throw some vanilla scent in there!
I do love these videos and some great products. I'm unfortunately slightly stuck in my old ways and I've found what works for me atm. But I also have multiple foundations going atm and I have to finish them❤❤❤
Hi Risa! A good and (relatively) budget-friendly alternative to the Makeup by Mario powder you mentioned, that IS mattifying and oil-controlling is the Revlon Colorstay Blot Matte Setting Powder. I haven't tried the Jason Wu (although I plan to), but this Revlon one would be an alternative for those who don't live near or frequent Target much. Also, do you think that the One Size oil sucker primer would work well under the Huda Easy Blur...I have quite oily, mature but also textured skin (old acne scarring, large pores, and fine lines) so the new Huda really appeals to me but I've also heard it was dewy and probably not ideal for oily skin. Thoughts? And thanks again for the great info and dupes!
This foundation was one of the biggest epic fails I’ve had in a very long time. I have normal to dry skin and live in a dry climate. It turned into a shiny disco ball in a very short amount of time. It didn’t blur anything. It settled into my fine lines. It clumped up in areas. I’ve never had a foundation do that before. I wore it for a week trying to make it work, but returned it.
Lisa, I hope I see you out in Las Vegas while Im here! My dad is ailing and I am visiting him with my best friend. Maybe we will bump into you at Ulta , Lol Your skin looks flawless today, Wow!!! That Oasis blush looks heavenly gonna order that. I have been wearing the huda foundation for a week now, I think I really like it but I think I got to dark of a shade and need to get the right shade, it really throws my judgment off when its not the right color.
Love your videos. You said your texture is improving can you share what you ae using to accomplish this. my face is flaking onmy upper lips and upper cheekbones, it is driving me crazy.
I am definitely going to pick up at least one of the blushes and the Saie lip glosses. Thank you so much for doing a review of these products-very helpful. You look gorgeous as always! Would you mind telling me what eye shadows you used-so beautiful?

Thank you for this video Risa…. Personally I enjoy fragrance in all my beauty products particularly as some fragrances are from the natural botanicals they use in the formula.
