SSgt Nichols. This subscriber requests a "Best of SDI SSgt. Sandercock" video, sir.

And when you run into one of your (former) Drill Instructors several years after, both of you back in civilian life....if you're lucky enough to have that happen, it's something you'll _never_ forget.

I had duty with my DI years later. That was weird. And awesome.

ran into one of mine in the fleet. It was funny he was like “why do you look so familiar?” Then it clicked for both of us at the same time

We need SSgt Nichols to shape this generation of weak hearts out there. Whining and complaining about everything.

I remember when we was getting fucked up all the time because we pissed off our heavy for not driving our heels and we started playing foot locker pt and we would be crying for our Senior Drill Instructor to come out and say “Stooop” good times.😂😂😂

Hell doing rifle manuals with your foot lockers is something that can be done too.😂

I remember the 1st day of 3rd please, all the SDIs disappeared. The green belts had a field day with us.

Our Drill Instructors called it... "Its Flooding" that meant picking up the foot lockers to the top rack. Oct-Dec 1973, Plt 395, India Co, 3rd Bn, Parris Island

Done that, as well as having a whole platoon duck walking up and down the squad bay while holding our mattresses over our heads. Good times.@@WhenIwasalivein

In 12B OSUT we learned very quickly the drill sergeants' table and the area around it at our DFAC was the 'minefield' and 'killbox'. The first week we'd have privates walk by the table and the drill sergeants would yell "BOOM! You're dead!" and all of them would jump up and go apeshit on the private spitting out a quaking, sweating mess of a person. Didn't take long before we learned to stay out of the 'killbox'. To this day I cringe anytime I hear a dish or tray hit the floor.

Going into my last pick up I was asked to put on the black belt. Respectfully declined and finished the 3 years as the saltiest green belt in the Bn. Loved every minute of that place. PI-DI

Those who stayed in are approaching retirement. This was filmed mid 2000s so in a couple of years it'll be 20 for them. These "kids" are all late 30s now, some in their 40s. Some might have their own children approaching enlistment age.

Mid 2000’s.. you can certainly bet that some of these recruits turned marines and then went off to war.. and some didn’t return. Semper fi
