I am honestly not quite sure what nummys problem with flashback drafts is. Do all of these sets hold up as well as we remember them? absolutely not, I personally didnt even like DOM that much when it came out, but variety is the spice of life after all, I see no reason to not mix things up, especially when the current set isnt even one of his (or really anybodies) favorites.
Well he's probably tried them and the viewer analytics show they're not as popular. Personally I've got no interest in flashback drafts, I'd rather watch him play Vintage Cube than some random old standard set.
Drafts vary way too much sometimes, Arena still doesn't have matchmaking for drafting. It works only when finding opponents, don't wanna take away from your skill, you are my favorite drafter, but I bet you had at least two newbie drafters in that pod.
52:52 Why not attack here? The obvious block is 3/5 on your 4/4 and 3/3 on your 2/4, then savor on the 3/5 kills both the ops creatures right? Edit: well in hindsight that would have just lost you a savor with their season of loss :D
I will be a voice in favor for no flashback drafts please. Simply because I only got really back into magic a year ago and no way am I learning a whole other set, I prefer to focus on the current one.
I’ve come to realize I’m a good drafter but god damn does Nummy make plays I don’t see until after he does them. Thanks for helping me get better!
It´s easy when you do top tier plays like that overprotect lethal at 1:09:46 - top Nummy!
It was insane to see that!
One of those plays you see and really make you realize how crazy some lines you can miss are
Yeah that was really smart! I learn alot from watching Nummy
Me crying when he said shift from white while staring at an intrepid and the back to back banishing lights
i got back to back banishing lights and ended up going gruul raccoons. I regretted it i only went 3/3.
@47:57 wow that game was long o.O Rare in Bloomburrow have I seen 12+ creatures on the battlefield for a while. Crazy game :D
Nice job. Great content. Love the drafts and always cool to see Kaizo too.
I would be down for Dom drafts, best draft set in 10ish years.
Back when vanilla creatures were still valid ;_;
Now that was fun! Incredible games!
That mentor over the landfall lizard proved to be an awful decision. Amazing play throughout the draft though.

perfectly summed up. I agree but everyone has different likes and dislikes we can’t control whether he enjoys a set or not.

47:43 what card are you referring at here that could give them the win? War Squeak?
Yes. War Squeak targeting Shrike Force, making the reacher unable to block, was lethal.
@@bigoofta ohh I was missing the haste part, thanks
Has Vren ever lost on a stalled board before? It seems like its impossible to beat if you don't have removal and just rely on trading.

i didn’t know that drafting didn’t have matchmaking. what makes you say that there were new players in his pod though?
At 47:45. Land and warsqueak allows both white creature activations for plus 3 for 6 flying damage and you were at 7 life.
Am I missing something?
Warsqueak would have given haste to the flying double striker
Duo has three, shrike force is 2 double strike which is 4 total. Reacher can't block
Any format where you can't go Sultai poop and end up with a good deck is a format I don't wanna play
Hahaha, yeah I miss Outlaws of Thunder Junction :D It was pretty awesome imo
Where are all these opponents when I play?
Hard to play them when your in silver
@@DanteAidos Wouldn't that make it easier to find them?
Most likely, you *are* these opponents.

Let's go!
I can not believe you had opportunity to have builders talent with fountain port and you passed on it. Makes me sadge.
Draft king

Agreed. Focus on current content is much preferred for me... And no doubt it's reflected in his viewing figures.
Mmmm me too~ :)
