Ahh nice one Phil. Good to meet you. I’m glad you are enjoying the series. Part 15 will be riding that should be tomorrow or Friday. Going a meet in Warrington on it Saturday hopefully 🤞
Yeah eventually sorted. It’s all a learning curve with these old 70’s bikes that I’m not very used to working on. I could do another one easy peasy now though 😂👍
Hi there, can you compare the rear indicator base to the c70’s. Are they the same? I’m looking for OEM c70 bases and if there the same I can widen my search! Thanks
My first bike was the 1975 Honda CB400F. Great bike to learn on and I rode it a long time. Passed it down to my younger brother and he still has it but it has not ran in more than 25 years. What a classic bike and a fine specimen in this video. Thanks for sharing.
@@tkbikes1 I been saying that for years. his problem is he has too many old classic style 70's and early 80's bikes and needs parts for several of them and he just does not have enough time left in the day.
Absolute legend, and the bike haha Great to hear it run. Did i notice a weep from the brake caliper or was that from the bleeding?... Are you still checking that cam chain too? Aw mate, that is a beauty. I'm well pleased 😊
Brake calliper was binding bad but not weeping, all sorted now with a new piston and completely cleaned out. I’ve had a go at the cam chai. And it seems ok thank god! I just pushed it out with a screwdriver and tightened the locking nut. Thanks a lot I’m glad you’re pleased for me. 😃 and legend is good. Oh yeah 👍 😂😃
@@jmg-sw5xr I’ve just watched my own video as not watched since I edited 😂 I just hoped and prayed it was right 😂 actually calliper was weeping, I seen it my self. Soon sort that though. Think I it was just where the metal brakes hose goes in. Probably wants another quarter turn or something 👍
@tkbikes1 glad you caught it too, I couldn't tell if it was just the bleed dribbling over but the bleed pipe looked fitted. 1/4 turns are the best easy fixes ;)
Sound's very smooth, just as it should. Iron out the niggles, pick a fine day and away you go 👍
Yeah I’ll be riding it very soon now. Just a few small jobs and repaint the red sometime or other 👍 thanks for watching
That motor sounds lovely..........silky smooth. Just love the 400 Fours. You've persevered and it's all paid off Tim.
Yes it has. I’m definitely thinking I’ll keep this one and enjoy it. I think it’s going to be reliable now 😀

Its always very stressfull starting the bike after rebuild because of all the work that goes into it but even more rewarding when it runs well.
