Hey Guys!
Today I thought I'd bring you a slightly different tutorial to usual. I have wanted some of these pretty bendy candles for AGES, but I didn't want to spend £20-£30 on just one candle...so I decided to make them myself!
This was a tik tok trend and it ended up working really well and I am so happy with how my bendy candles turned out! So if you want your home to look like something straight out of a Pinterest mood board, then watch this SUPER EASY and cheap tutorial!

Oh no !! A good tip is to make sure the water is pretty hot, then try to gently shape the candles whilst they are in the water, they are easier to bend that way xx

Tip! If u decide to make these again mold them in the warm water it makes them way easier to mold! :)

How long do you keep them in the water for before moulding?
The longer the better! Usually about 10 mins is good, I also advise that you shape them whilst they’re in the water as they’re less likely to snap that way xx

We have to dip the candles in cold water or hot??
I tried doing this just now but I think the candles weren't the right type? They had like two layers or something and it kept peeling when I bent it. What type of candles did you use?

Yeah I reckon it probably would! I think these candles are sorta more for decoration than lighting cos they aren’t very practical 🤣

I got the ‘tall regular’ ones (250mm) 😊
mine started to melt a bit and I got all my finger prints on them, so it was a big disaster ahahahajahaja any tips for next time?
I think you probably need to use slightly cooler water then! If it’s too hot then the candles melt too much so try leaving them for longer in less hot water and that might help! Also when shaping them try to use your palms rather than your fingers to minimise fingerprints 😊

Also did they ship fast or did it take awhile?
I got the tall regular ones (250mm), and I think shipping took under a week 😌

Hi! It only can be made with paraffin candles or it can be with soy wax candles too?

As far as I know they we’re just standard candles! I got them from Plaristoshop! A good tip is to make sure you bend them whilst they’re under the hot water, then they are less likely to snap xx
How do you light them tho candle designs ?
That’s the only thing with these - they are more for decoration than for lighting !

@@AliceHope I tried Hobby Lobby but almost all the colors are out of stock.
Some thrift stores sell those types of candles for cheap, around 1-2 bucks only. The quality might not be the same but it can totally work

Is it better to use paraffin or wax candles?
The website I bought them from said these are paraffin wax! So that’s what worked for me, I’m not sure about wax but I feel they would still work well

Hey 😊 I only use these candles decoration and only lit them for the video! I wouldn’t recommend lighting them for long periods of time!

No it won't:-)
@@sarahhembo8904 yeah, i can confirm that now - it won't :) i have tried it with 2 different (but both stearine) candles and it turned into a small big disaster :)
