That's a fun roof the glass panels come off and strap in behind the seats and the clutch has a hill holder, great tech for the time. I had a '83 and '85 Brat and I loved them and would buy another one tomorrow if they still made them. You will never regret buying that car.

Had a '78 Brat back in '97, used it as a Yard Dog and it was an awesome little thing.

I've had 5 of these. Fenominal cars. I've pulled full size work trucks, loaded with tools, out of ditches, with these. Bad little chain driven 4 bangers. Air plane motors from what I've heard. Flat 4 or something. Just strong.

My dad had a 1978 Brat
He had my car seat in the back jump seat. I still remember waving to people. He had a cap on the back for safety.

Sold them in Australia as the Brumby, that model with the sunroofs was an upspec one Agquip I believe. I had it in wagon format, 4 speed manual, 2 speed transfer case. Was a little beast. Still would have had it if not for being in a car accident where I was hit by a Honda. Both of us ok luckily, but I was broken for my little beast not being able to be driven. I sold much of the drive line out to a guy who bought his creation to me when he finished it.
Indeed they are hard to find...hang onto it as long as you can dude

84 brat was supposed to be my first car, ended up with a pos dodge aries "k" car. Those where awesome mini trucks.
