    So will the Maxx r-hop nubs work with the MR. Hop bucking? Or is it best to use the Omega nub?

    -maxx unit
    -airtech studios m nub for the maxx unit
    - Mr hop bucking in accordance with the power level of the gun
    -edgi stainless steal 6.01mm inner
    That is literally an at home set up you can build, now we are talking about a very expensive inner but this all adds up to that lazer beam performance that we want.
    I same set is in my limited edition vfc m27 with a custom cut edgi 433mm barrel. First game with the gun built I was getting like 230ft effective range (bls .36g bb) through a 75° mr hop bucking. That's without the bucking being broken in, only put about 600 bbs through the gun that day. The gun clocked in at 1.6j 426fps after spring break in it should have me right at the 1.5j mark. The mr hop bucking is exactly what we need 🙌

    Works well with PDI Raven 6.01 inner barrels, it has the same cut for hop window(or very close) as the Maple Leaf barrels. I think the PDI Raven wide bore, 6.10 has the same type of hop window as the Raven 6.01, so it should also be a nice fit for Maple Leaf MR hop rubbers.

    I read from multiple rubber/silicone manufacturers' websites that silicone has worse abrasion resistance compared to EPDM

    • @reflexairsoft4648
      @reflexairsoft4648  3 роки тому +5

      This is also correct but, EPDM has good tear strength and is seen as the more durable rubber compared to silicone. However, silicone is more flexible and can be formulated to have very strong tear resistance and elongation,the elongation/stretching the patch seen from the bb pasning by it “pulling it” makes the silicone ideal, especially in colder weather where the brittle point is worse on the edpm.
      Also i do believe the silicone is of the HTV type, and has some additives in it aswell to increase wanted abilities 😊

    I think you've got your facts round the wrong way. I'm having my own buckings made right now and EDPM is the more expensive material and more expensive to get molds made for than silicone - either way it's very close in terms of pricing. Also AST who make the Maple Leaf products charge more for the rubber than the silicone. I've also found that the EDPM is more resilient out of the 2, the silicone seems more prone to tearing. As for resetting, I've not noticed any differences (yet).

      If you look under vid discription, it States its a silicone “alloy” to Make it simple.
      Price on the silicone and regular rubber bucking is the same for vendors. But silicone is a more expensive rubber of the two, a very simple Google search will broardly tell you that.
      I am a mould constructor/Engineer and the statement that edpm moulds are more expensive to make is just false, if you paid more thats on you, it requiers no special materials or tolerances that would trigger a jump in price.

    • @xtairsoft
      @xtairsoft 3 роки тому

      @@reflexairsoft4648 I didn't see the description part, never heard of a silicon "alloy", all I can say is the 30 or so quotes I've had from manufacturers in the far east they always charge more for edpm molds, although the difference is very small, so small in fact it doesn't make any difference to the project. Yes price for vendors is the same, however wholesale AST still charge more for rubber than the silicone, maybe their production run or the number of cavities is smaller? I don't know, I work mostly at the retail end.
      Hey I'm not trying to detract from your knowledge of moulding construction etc, I'm just saying what I've experienced from the customer side of things.
      Since you work in the industry you never though about doing your own bucking? Nice vid though...we should chat sometime.

    • @reflexairsoft4648
      @reflexairsoft4648  3 роки тому

      The alloy is just a lack of words, its more a mix in product.
      If you told a asian manufacturing company that you want a quote for a epdm mould, they know you are after that, and will charge you more, seen it so many times. Because they can just pull any number out their ass, trust me it is priced within the same 100usd
