@@enriquecontrerase.4479 Blue skills are more or less support oriented, which isn't to say you can't do damage with a blue build but generally they are the more support oriented skills and Red skills lean more toward damage dealing.
The red build is pretty fun to play if you want to be more active of a tank with a little bit of mitigation to go along with it. I personally dig red style more since I'm more in control but blue build do have some serious defensive mitigation while still doing big boom dmg

"barricade" over "grudge" but both work for DPS. "Adrenaline" and spirit "absorption" are also good for dps and my favorite personally.... "Stabilized Status" which gives 3%,6%,18% DMG buff while HP is above 80%. Both *Barricade* and *Stabilized Status* are similar in a way, as one requires 80% HP or above and the other requires you to have your shield up. JUST A WARNING! --do not put all your eggs in one basket -- what I mean by that is stick to what you get from those and save engravings for other classes that might need it
Looking up the gunlancer abilities. Can some one pls explain why isn't a gunlancer legit support build like bard and paladin. You have same tools in surtain situations even better. You can stagger bosses , drop down a shield that nigates most dmg from mechanics and even batter dps buffs that you can give even more dps to the party than both paladin and paladin. The tools are there just ppls mindset about the class isn't
Because it excels at single-target damage. While the buffs are nice, Gunlancer should not be confused as to be a support, it's a behemoth of a damage dealer and can take the most punishment of all classes. Building it up as pure support would be somewhat hamstringing it for what it truly is. A single target boss-nuker. With that said, nobody is going to say "no" to have a gunlancer in their party.
@@SGKestrel I agree however I dont think you must give up to much dmg maybe 2 skills and the calling is enough to have supportive capabilities close to a bard in case you can't find support. + lone knight will be close to useless wihout the crit you get later on
That being said it will be really really high skill cap tied to it. Basically you need to know the encounters inside out. Knowing how and when to interrupt and drop the shield before hand to nigate the dmg since you dont have healing, only shield. However is one heck of a shield
I love the gunlance concept, but the way it’s being held or even used/waved around seems… off. The handle is so short, it’s more like they’re waving around a functioning gunblade versus a gunlance. But again, just a personal opinion. I think people will still enjoy it nonetheless.
